I was going to, but $90USD on Steam is a bit much for me what with another Australian price gouge on this selected title

Unless it's going to be a Steam activated game, in which I will wait for a site such as Greenman Gaming to have it cheaper.

It depends on the DLC. DLC such as proper expansions yes, such as Shivering Isles etc. However these kind of DLC are diminishing. DLC for maps,,,,what that? Blacks Ops,,,,5x new maps $15, you kidding? Street Fighter is worse,,,,,DLC of costume packs that are actually in the game but locked.
The olden days (the golden age?) of gaming, there was nothing called DLC. You bought a game, then 6-12 months later they released a full blown expansion months later. And you had to travel to local computer store to purchase the box for $30 on average. But it was worth it. Now DLC is almost for sale a week on release of original game
Everyone complains about it, but people still buy them all, therefore it's just going to become standard and prob worse. Developers should sell certain large DLC, but also provide a free one here and there as a thank you for buying their game. Small ones should be free (horse armor), but larger ones should stay the same and be purchased. (like Lost and Damned)
Witcher 2 (CD Project) gave everyone FREE DLC, can't see why others can't.

AMD says: PC has "10 times" console horsepower today. http://www.strategyinformer.com/news/11546/amd-pc-has-10-times-console-horsepower-directx-in-the-way

I reckon gaming in general hasn't leaped forward much in the last few years. I think we have yet to see true potential of gaming as a whole. Where gaming and hollywood cinema collide and each can be mistaken each other. I have a console and PC and enjoy both, yet reckon consoles are holding back everything technological now.

They have way too long a lifecycle which means developers have to make games for all platforms which hold them back somewhat with what they could achieve. If they don't go multiplatform, they can lose. It costs a lot more these days to make a game afterall.

Currently spending more time on 360 at the moment playing LA Noire, which isn't and won't be out on PC.

Actually it is coming to pc this year :)

the ownage is strong in this one

Haha...I total fail here

I just thought it would be the same as what they did to Red Dead Redemption, ignore PC gamers. Haven't been keeping in touch with gaming news lately, my bad.

I think both are great. I have a 360 and a high end gaming pc. I find certain games I prefer on the 360 and same for the PC. For example:- Batman AA, Assassin Creed series, Just Cause 2 are more enjoyable on a couch on a big screen with controller. (notice mostly 3rd person games). However when I want to fragfest with FPS such as BF2 and RTS with Starcraft 2, then I head to my PC.
Currently spending more time on 360 at the moment playing LA Noire, which isn't and won't be out on PC. Same as Red Dead Redemption. Working longer hours than normal so coming home and wanting to chill on couch instead is a better option for me currently. Also just finished Witcher 2 on PC.
In fact I reckon a lot of people that have PC gaming have consoles in their homes as well.
Both have positives and negatives, I really can't see why people still post flame topics such as this.

Thanks everyone. Got it and playing it. All other games have totally been put aside, loving it. Couldn't find it cheap anywhere though. I really thought games come down in price after a year.

Just finished registering, and thought I should start the single player campaign first. Might be a good starting point.Just played the first sections of the campaign on normal and hard. Wow, so far this makes Command & Conquer 4 seem mehhhh.

When I just started it at main screen I can't believe the game is saying there's about 500,000 players online. Looks like I found a game that has massive multiplayer.

This actually sounds like a pretty smart system. Off to give Blizaard my hard earned cash.

What's this Real ID? Do I have to enable that to play online?

I might give it a go then. I have played RTS like Supreme Commander and C&C.
Does it have pretty decent matchmaking? Don't want to start against some gold veteran that does tournaments as a job.

Welcome to PC gaming. :) Don't get too frustrated initially. It will take practice with the mouse and keyboard, but once you get it, you'll never look back. High DPI mice are the key, if you can move your character 360 with just the tiniest of hand movement, then you will find it easier and less tiring.
