Thinking about getting Starcraft 2, however I am concerned that since it's been out for some time, then I will be way outranked and noobified online. Wondering what the Starcraft 2 community online is like? I am trying to find a good online game these days that I can learn and get my teeth into, but also get advise from others if needed.

This is a truly supurb monitor for the price. It's a IPS panel which is better than TN panels. Running this one myself and it made everything look better. 100% better viewing angles, has good trace free and very cheap on power.

Easy there with the bumps. After my post I decided to go out and get some sunshine. :D
Steam backup does not do your savegames. 4 steps for backup:-
1. Copy steamapps folder onto external backup drive
2. format, reinstall, and reinstall Steam
3. put the entire backup of steamapps from external back into the proper directory.
4. Play
The only thing Steam will redownload is when there is a patch/update for the game. Each time there is a big update I just recopy that games directory from the Steamapps folder onto my external backup.
The actual Steam Backup feature is terrible and much slower than doing the Steamapps folder way. Especially when you start accumalting a lot of games.
For the games, copy the entire steamapps folder. For savegames I use this tool which is constantly updated for newer games.

So I guess people that used there hard earned dollars and bought it on Steam are screwed. If they ever do release the mythical DX11 patch Steam owners will not receive.
If no future patches I will request a refund from Steam, or resort to other means to acquire EA games. BF3 won't be getting my dollars if EA will force Origin onto me just to buy it.
The game is still on my list, but went to play it and it said Steam Server Unavailable. I assume it is just busy. They are not allowed to stop you from playing a game you paid money for. That is corporate theft.
The problem is a lot of people and reviewers had extremely high expectations for the game since it took a massive amount of time to create. Finished the game myself and it was pretty good. However there are games made in much shorter time frame that are better. ie: Bad Company 2, The Witcher 2 (just a couple of examples). They still took a few years, but no where near as long as DNF.
I think the timeframe of how long it took has let the game down.
The dialogue was good. If it wasn't for the great voicecast doing it though, it wouldn've been nehhh
Hmmm, this post has made me think about reinstalling Oblivio and playing it through fully modded again. With the right mods it can be confused with a game that has just been released. Another great modset is the Unique Landscapes.

I've been messing with IE9, and it's actually faster than all the others (at the moment). Take into effect it also uses your GPU for video and graphics on the web. (probably classed as cheating). Microsoft have realised that security etc is important, but speed is a factor too, they listened.
I turn my computer on.
