Hating 2001, but liking Star Wars is like hating raisins, but liking grapes. 2001 is basically Star Wars. Just minus the jedis, the lightsabers, the plot, Yoda, Darth Vader, etc., and you've got 20012001: A Space Odyssey

[QUOTE="DirigiblePlums"][QUOTE="Aljosa23"]lmaoWhat ass through yonder window breaketh. I found that funnier than I should. I think it was my High school English teacher that said you could fit the word "Ass" into any famous shakespeare line An ass by any other name would smell as sweet The ass is a stage and all men and women are players. Is this an ass which I see before me An ass thinks himself to be wise, but a wise man knows himself to be an ass Ass is the root of all heartache Ass is neither good nor bad, but thinking makes it so. The curse of true ass never did run smoothwhat a retarded post

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R66eQLLOins That helped me like the book better. But if you still don't like it I'd recommend Perks of Being a Wallflower, which is basically the same thing but more modernThe Catcher in The Rye I guess. It's really the only book I can think of that I didn't find enjoyable in some way. Oh besides the later books in the Sword of Truth series. Still enjoyed some parts though because I'm a sucker for reading action.
I enjoyed Dune, but thought it wasn't the great book everybody says it is.
