May I Have This Dance?

Well as most of you know, my [middle] school hosted one of it's first school dances. It was Hollywood themed, but not many people dressed up Hollywood. At the dance, there was a nice stereo system, some spotlights.. and for the real Hollywood stuff, the student council put up the white "HOLLYWOOD" sign on some green paper, and posted it on the wall near the restrooms. They put up some well known street signs of Hollywood behind the gym bleachers, too, including Rodeo Drive, Vine Street, and Sunset Boulevard. I don't know if it's true, but wasn't Sunset Boulevard or Rodeo Drive mentioned in Drake & Josh Go Hollywood? To finish it all up, there was a red carpet by the doorway. On each side, there were little stars, and on them, the teachers listed all middle school students. It was neat.

So this is what sucked. The dance started at 6:00PM. I got there around 6:15PM. I didn't really get onto the dance floor much until 8:30PM. :x But at least I got to dance. With someone. With someone I like. After playing like 5-10 straight fast rock and or rap songs, my friend Chance finally asked for a slow, country song. When it came on, I asked Chance if he could ask Marisa to dance for me. SHE SAID YES! Though, I shouldn't really make too much of a big deal of it. She danced with about everyone there. Plus, I have never danced before. Yeah. Go ahead and laugh. Laugh your guts out then I will continue...

Finished yet? Okay, let's continue. So I was really confused when we started dancing. When we were doing the two-step, I never knew which way we would step next, so I just started walking around, and it would be so awkward when Marisa would go the other way, and I was fooled because I thought we were going the other way. Anyways, the first time, we talked a little bit. She asked when I started liking her.. (which was since last October) ...and I told her how this was the greatest night of my life and then she started laughing.

In fact, after that first dance, I was trying to call my parents and tell them to stay home. But then, I realized my phone didn't work. So I tried Emily's cell phone, and it didn't work either, so I guess cell phones didn't get a signal out there. :( And even worse, when the principal asked me who I was trying to call, and I said my parents, he pointed to the corner, and they were already there.

Dammit!!

So then I asked Marisa to dance again, and we danced for the final slow song of the night. When my parents saw. Oh, and my sister saw. Of all people, why did they have to bring my sister? She's even worse than my parents, because she doesn't know when she is embarassing me so if she says something about me liking Marisa out loud, AAHHH!!! :x I just want to slap her silly!

So finally, after the last dance, we hugged, for the second of four times. My folks and sister saw that too, dammit.

When we began to leave, Marisa and Iyla were at the door. Marisa was giving out, "free hugs" to everybody who left. When I went outside, and she hugged me, I wanted to run back in and run out again, and again, and again... just to get another hug from Marisa.

Then in the van, my parents told me and Andrew (Andrew was with us because we were taking him home) that we could go back inside and hang out for a while if we wanted to, so we did. We helped the student council clean up a bit, and finally at the end, Marisa ran over to hug me and Barret, as she was going home. Barret let go, but I wouldn't, until she said, "Okay Matthew, you got to let go now..." And when we started back for home, (I have horrible eyes.. 24/40 vision) but I recognized Marisa first, in the dark, standing around in a restaurant (if I gave restaurant name, someone may hack me and find out where I live) parking lot and I banged on the window and begged my parents to go park, but they didnt. DAMMIT, DAMMIT, DAMMIT, DAMMIT, DAMMIT!!!

IT IS MARCH 2008 already, and we have a smashed mailbox. That is why you don't want to live where I live, because the crime rate is just pitiful. We got it smashed probably around 1-4AM yesterday. :| Also, I am back to working on Club Chillin, my Gamespot Union, so if you soon get an invitation to join, please do! Anyways, Happy March everyone!

Question of the Day XXI: Does your school usually have a dance?
MY ANSWER: I don't think so... I haven't heard of them having any of the whole time I've attended. This might of been our first school dance. :D

Video/Music Video of the Day:
Another blog regular, the music video of the day... has to do with last night's dance. How did the song, "Cyclone" end up here? Well, funny story... there is a little corner in the gym that has a spotlight on the ground aiming at it, where you can take photos. When the song, "Cyclone" was being played, Chance brought up a point, "It says 'cyclone', so I'm going to spin!" Then some others started spinning in circles, and Johnathon, and awkward seventh grader, started twirling around the spotlight, and he bumped into it and it fell over, the light broke, and then it started to smoke for a bit!

So anyways, things started sucky, and ended out great. I LOVE MARISA! Oops, I just had to say that.

The Whole Enchilada

Hate Mexican food so can someone please tell me if I spelled "enchilada" right? :P

Well everytime I seem to blog, I want to write more of what has happened, but I have never had the time, so let's see if we can catch up in this blog.

On February 15th, 2008, Brady broke up with Marisa. I was planning on asking Marisa out to the dance later the next week, but my friend, Chance, called up later that Friday night and offered to ask Marisa right then for me.. she said no.

The next Friday, February 22nd.. I asked her out myself, at 7:00PM exact. She said she would have to think about it. A little more than two hours, later, a little after 9:15PM she called back and told me. She said no again. And you should of listened to her... "Matthew, I've made up my decision... I've decided that I don't want to go to the dance - with you." That really upset me. Again. And it makes me realize how stupid I was not to listen to a lot of you guys here on TV.com to get over Marisa and Iy.. well, Iyla, I've been over for for a long time. In fact, I believe I was drunk the day I asked her out...

The next day, on the 23rd of February, we had our game. After going 6-1 in the regular season, we battled it out with "Wrong" Transportation in the first round of the playoffs, who had gone undefeated, I believe, in the regular season.

We lost.

This was even worst than our 34-12 loss to Village Custom Homes.. the final score here was 42-9. WE LOST BY THIRTY-THREE POINTS, FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE!!! We finished the season 6-2, same as last year... I played the point guard on defense some, like I did in our season finale 13-9 win over Herring Homes.

Do you ever think your clasmates can be retarded sometimes??

The Mon.. Tuesday after I first asked Marisa out, my birthday, on the 19th of February, we were walking into the regular school building from second period (Band) to third period (Computer Lab) when Iyla started joking at me, saying, "Gee, Matthew... what, are you gonna ask every girl in school out to the dance?"

Then they laughed, for no reason.. only two girls, really, and it should of only been one girl.

Then they made some crap up about I should go ask Morgan out. Eh, Morgan is nice, but not really really interested in her. She is listed in my cell phone, as "Hanger Upper", though. Take a lucky guess why. :|

But the whole thing was just a bunch of crap.

Then earlier this week, when most of everybody in my grade knew I didn't like like Morgan, they asked her out for me, like I actually liked her.. and thank goodness, she said no. And then I heard Iyla say... "Wow, Matthew is getting denied by everybody!!"

Damn Retards.

And that is it for this blog. I wrote most of this yesterday, and it was supposed to be published yesterday, but I didn't have enough time.

One Word... HOW???

Has this been happening to anyone else? :?

Two days ago, I was at Level 37, 80%... after barely doing anything that day, I advanced to Level 38, 92%... and today, I just got on here after my Internet wasn't working all day, and most of yesterday afternoon... Level 40, 2%!!

Well??

So I skipped over Fonzerelli and I am Bewitched. Wow...

It's so unrealistic, it seems to be a glitch, but if it is.. don't tell the TV.com moderators.. I like the constant leveling up huge numbers! :P

This is a short blog.. didn't take me much time to write, and it shouldn't anyway. I have to go take a shower now. Bye.

Blog 02.21.08 "Ugly But A Win" (Part 2 of 2)

Yeah, so we finished the regular season, 6-1, and will be going into the playoffs at the number two seed in the National Conference, and will be playing Right Transportation, the top seed in the American Conference in the first round of the playoffs. Oh yeah.. the score? 13-9.. Pitiful, but at least we got the win.

Billy, our coach, switched me to defend the point guard this time, unlike previous games in which I guard the paint as the "4" position. I like playing up in da' front vs. the point guard. 8)

Hopefully we'll finish 8-1.. AKA winning the championship. :)

So as most of you know, Tuesday was my birthday. I wasn't on because we went to go watch my sister in her basketball game at 6:30PM, finish around 7:30, go to the mall to play in the arcade, and eat some pizza.. at 8:35PM, go see a movie called, Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins. The movie was about two hours long, and we had to go on this weird route to get to a gas station, and then travelling out of the city limits, and 45 miles back to our hometown, where we dropped off my cousin, Andrew, (he was with me the whole day) then get home and fall to sleep at around midnight, but a little later. I had gotten to go home early, but I had to finish a science project, so nope, I didn't get to get on TV.com that day. Sorry guys! :(

Oh yeah, and last week, Friday, on the 15th, the day my dad got home from the hospital and the day following Valentine's Day, Brady and Marisa broke up. Not really "broke up", but Brady dumped Marisa. :| And worst for him, all the older girls were complaining to him all day about, "Why did you break up with her..? Why do you have to be so mean??"

Yeah, so that obviously got very annoying. Later that night, Chance called up, and I mentioned taking advantage of the fact Marisa is single now. He offered to ask her out for me, to the dance, but she said no. :(

So I'm going to try myself tomorrow evening.

Blog 02.21.08 "Tagged" (Part 1 of 2)

I will be writing a blog later today when I get home from our last Ralph Wilson basketball game of the regular season. Whether we win or lose, we are still headed to the playoffs. We are favored to win.. our opponents we are facing today suck.

So, like a lot of people have done, I've been tagged today. Three times. :P By Nicole, Love_ya24, and Coaster. :) So the "tag message" says to make a blog and list five interesting things about yourself. Here it goes.

--------------------

1. I hate a lot of chocolate. What would you expect if you offered a kid a Snickers Bar, or a stick of broccoli? You would expect for them to take the chocolate. I would take the broccoli.

2. I am very warm blooded. I have never worn blue jeans for a whole day (not including Athletics) this whole school year.

3. I live in the birth place of LaDainian Tomlinson.

4. My home is about ten miles away from a small town called Tomlinson Hill, named after the Tomlinsons.

5. I like gum. :| Last Christmas, when I went to celebrate Christmas with my dad's side at my uncle John's house, I chewed so much gum, my head was starting to feel aweful before time to leave.

Yeah, so some interesting facts, I guess. :) I will have a bigger blog later tonight, after we get home from my basketball game. And here is another special trivia!

The last time I have posted two blogs in one day was September 15th, 2007.

Bye for now people! :)

Road to 18,000 Posts; Post-Valentine's Day and Pre-Birthday Party Blog

Well, since we have a three-day-weekend, I have been given a better chance to get to 18,000 posts. I currently am about 330-350 more posts to go.

Well, as you all know my dad was in the hospital. We visited him on Thursday, the day of our Valentine's Day, then we left to go back to school, where I attended the last five minutes of the period before our Valentine's Day. And as you all know, I gave Iyla that red clipboard with the compartment underneath. Her reaction?

She called it ugly, took my whole leftover bag of candy, then said she would not return it until I gave her "her" clipboard back. (In other words, she wanted my green clipboard with no compartment in it back, which was actually MINE!)

Then we also had a basketball game as well. The 5-0 Texas Hydraulics vs. the 5-0 Village Custom Homes. We lost.

34-12 was the final score. It was our worst loss in team history. 22 points. Worst than our 31-10 loss last year to open the season. And now, at 5-1, we are guaranteed only the second spot in the playoffs for the National Conference. We will be playing the top team in the American Conference, as Village Custom Homes will be playing the second best team in the American Conference. So thanks to our screwed up playoff schedule, we could still meet again in the Championship despite being in the same conferences.

Then we ate at Long John Silver's, where I ate a few fries and some popcorn shrimp. Me, my mom, sister, aunt, uncle, and cousin then went back to the hospital for about thirty minutes, then we left. We got back home at 10:30PM. I didn't go to bed until after midnight, after watching the Mavericks lose again, 109-97 to the Phoenix Suns.

So there is now an estimated amount two days, six hours, and fifteen minutes left until my exact birthdate. (Born February 19th, 10:11PM)

So this is another party blog. It is a.. post-Valentine's Day, slash Pre-Birthday themed. Since we only have a few days to work with, all I am asking for is maybe 600 to 1000 comments after this blog is done.

Hi.:|

Hope everyone had an awesome Valentine's Day. If you read all of the above, you should know I didn't. At least my dad came home yesterday! :)

Yours Truly,
Matt

First It Was The Clipboard.. Now A Pencil

I originally let Marisa borrow the pencil, but since her and Iyla are best buddies, than I wasn't surprised it eventually got in the hands of Iyla. No big deal. It was a cruddy mechanical pencil anyways, really; No sweat.

Well.. you might think it is crazy, but guess what I'm giving Iyla for Valentine's Day tomorrow. :| If you guessed a clipboard, then you would be correct. And this one, unlike mine, is a light red, and has a little compartment under the cover. So maybe that will settle it. :)

I've discovered a certain curse to do with the Dallas Mavericks. The Mavericks are hardly winning any games when I don't watch at least a quarter of the game. Like the other day, lost 101-82 in New Jersey. Then they next day, I didn't start watching until about five and a half minutes to go in the fourth quarter, when the Philadelphia 76ers were hosting the Mavs. The Mavs only scored 10 points in the fourth quarter, and lost, 84-76. Well, their game vs. the Portland Trailblazers was not shown on FSN Southwest, ESPN, or TNT, so I just had to wait until the game finished, and to look it up on NBA.com to see who won or loss. The Mavs finally snapped a two game losing streak, at home, 96-76 to the Blazers. Dirk had 20 points in the first half alone.

My mom just took my dad to the hospital. It all started earlier when he tried to wrestle with me after I told him to be quiet after saying, "Oooh... why ya' giving Iyla that clipboard!?" then he got on me, and without touching him, he went down and could barely breathe. He started throwing up in the bathroom, and now I'm real worried. I hope it isn't anything serious.

So anyways, this is for anyone who has a relationship with anyone at school or somewhere. This is actually our Question of the Day XX, as well. Are you getting someone anything special for Valentine's Day?

SilentPon is our friend of the day to track. As of now, I think I am his only friend, so please track him. I'm sure he will really appreciate it.

Video of the day? According to this Youtube.Com User.. George Bush is funny; See what he could be talking about.

Picture of the Day

Well I guess that is it. Until later,

~Matt~

P.S. - Only 6 days until my birthday, and I planned to get 18,000 posts! I hope I can make it by the end of February 19th!

I Don't Know - I Just Felt Like Blogging

By the rate I've been writing blogs lately, it'll take me forever to write ten more blogs and get to 200 blogs. I remember the days I used to write 8-10 blogs a day and I got so pissed when that flooding rule came up where I couldn't type more than 10 blogs in a day. And I was so focused on getting to 50 blogs that I went back to all my blogs, counted back ten blogs, and scheduled later around the same time, to make a new blog. Aww, how things have changed. In fact I've done a little bit of calculating. Including this blog, I think this will mean I am averaging 0.84 blogs per day now, in my TV.com career.

Some of you might know, but just in case you don't on Wednesday, Iyla struck again. You know how she thought the clipboard was her's after one day of borrowing it. That same day, Tuesday, I barely got it back after she threw a fit. She declared that I took it from her. Well, after bringing home the clipboard safe and sound on Tuesday, Wednesday, the day we got out early because the teachers were going to a workshop, she snuck up on me and...

Later that day, after school, she called me up on my cell phone:

"Hello.."

"Matthew?"

"Yeah."

"Yeah, uh, I stole your clipboard today, out of your backpack; if you were wondering where it was."

"What.. what!?! How.. when did you get it out??"

Then there was some static and I couldn't understand her. All I knew was that she was dead meat tomorrow... (Thursday)

Thursday
Iyla wasn't at school on Thursday. :| She had a doctor's appointment because her back had been bothering her for almost the whole week... but when Friday comes...

Friday
Iyla was back in school on Friday, and I asked for the clipboard back on our way to third period. She claimed she forgot about the clipboard, but then walked off. So I asked her again in third period, and I thought she was going to get down on her knees and start begging to have the clipboard, and I said no, but since the clipboard was still in her backpack, I remained clipboardless.

So that is when my plan developed. Since our science teacher, Mrs. Decker, is the only teacher in the whole school that doesn't let us take our backpacks in the room, I was going to wait until Science and ask to go to the restroom, when I would actually go to Iyla's locker, unzip her backpack, get the clipboard, zip up the backpack, put the clipboard in my locker, and then head back. But I got an earlier chance.

It was so unexpected. In fourth period, she was just sitting right there, with the clipboard pointing up, talking to somebody, facing the opposite direction, so what the heck?

The unexpected plan was successful. With two jerks, I was able to set the clipboard free, and now the clipboard is safe in my house.

Um, other than that... uh, we had basketball practice for Ralph Wilson on Thursday. in scrimmage, I scored 6 points, going 3 for about... eh, maybe 10 from the floor. 10 is a big number, as I rarely take that many shots, even in practice! I felt beat up when I got home. My arms and legs were so sore... I wanted to scream! But I thought of a job well done, when I could tell Brady was so frustrated every trip down the court. He got soooooo mad when I'd steal it after someone turned it over. He'd get so mad.... so he just made the would-be intentional foul, if it were a real game.

And for the final main subject of the day, my birthday is in 11 days!! Well actually since it just turned 12:00AM nearly fifteen minutes ago, it is 10 days until my birthday! Yep... born on Presidents Day - moi! February 19th! Yea, I'm so hyper!

Question of the Day XIX
Have you ever played any edition of SimCity before? If so, do you enjoy it?
MY ANSWER - Yes, I have SimCity 4 Deluxe. I've played it a million times, or maybe 500 times, so that should mean that I enjoy playing it.

Video of the Day
"Personal Foul... on the defense, #99... after he tackled the quarterback.. he was giving him the business.. That's a fifteen-yard penalty!"

Time For A Long Blog - February 5th, 2008 Issue

This blog will be about everything that has happened from the last time I blogged until now.

Texas Hydraulics Keep Undefeated Win Streak Alive
The Texas Hydraulics, (the business sponsering our Ralph Wilson team) went to 4-0, with a 28-23 win last Thursday, and just two days later on Saturday, improved to 5-0 to knock down the only remaining undefeated team in our conference, JC Auto, 21-18. Some might say it was to avenge our loss to JC Auto last year, and others might call it the Pursuit of Perfection. I think we'll go all the way this season, to 9-0 and win the championship. :D

New Kid
Today we got a new kid. His name is AJ, and it stands for Anthony James. We thought he would be weird, but he really isn't. He was just really quiet today, but he is really good at the trumpet.

Iyla Steals Clipboard, Matt Struggles To Get It Back
Iyla sure likes to take advantage of people when she knows they like someone. If you are meeting Iyla, and like someone, you are better off not telling her who you like. Trust me.

So it started today, in the hallway right before fourth period when Iyla came along, opened my locker, and said, "Oooh, clipboard!!" She grabbed the clipboard and took off to the social studies room. I opened my locker back up to get my binder and books and headed to the room where I asked for it back. She said she would give it back at the end of the day, so I agreed to the plan.

So right before the boys and girls of our grade split up for the final two periods of the day, I met up with her and asked her for the clipboard. She said to meet her at the REAL end of the day by the lockers and she'll give it back.

End of Last Period
"Iyla, give me my clipboard now."

"Why, do you need it?"

"No, but you said you were going to give it back."

"But it's my clipboard! I already have papers in it!"

"What!?"

At that point, I walked to the hallway, clipboardless until Iyla came back, set her backpack down, and went outside to do something, that I don't know. So when the door closed, I went over to her backpack, opened it, and reached for the clipboard, when Marisa came over and defended the backpack. "No one touches my friend's clipboard...!!"

Unbelievable. Not just what you think, but that was the first time Marisa talked to me since Friday when she called me to tell me Iyla cancelled on me.

When Iyla came back, Marisa gave the clipboard back to her, where Iyla was pissed off because she thinks I was trying to steal HER clipboard. Then she sticks the clipboard out towards me, and I was just sitting down, and she barely had a grip on it, and I just took it. :| Then she accused me of taking it, when numero uno, it is my clipboard. And numero dos, she was holding it right out in front of me! What else was I supposed to do!?!?!

Level 36, 17,000 Posts
Okay, this section is dedicated to my TV.com status. I just reached one of the worst levels in the world if you are a guy: Young in the Restless: a soap opera! And worst of all, I'm at 1%, so basically I need 100% to get off of this level!! :(

On the good side,I finally got to 17,000 posts even though I wanted to get it accomplished by Sunday. But who could focus on Super Bowl Sunday!?! Seriously, any Giant fans out there? I was so happy when the Giants won. Congrats to Eli Manning and the New York Giants.

Dumped

*Shortest Blog Since Last Summer

I ended up asking Marisa's "sidekick", Iyla to the dance, just as friends. Why? Well Marisa and Brady are already going to the dance together and it seems Marisa never had any interest in me whatsoever. So I asked Iyla, to go to the dance with me just as friends, and she said "yes", until later tonight when Marisa called up and told me Iyla changed her mind about going to the dance with me, so back to the drawing board.

At least I have until February 29th until the dance, but I don't know if I will be going with anyone!:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:
