@HAWK9600: It actually seems that only certain games from certain devs just get perfect scores damn near every time regardless of the fact that it's basically the same shit over and over again. Another "perfect" Zelda game....yawn. It looks like literal dog shit.
@thehawk3986: The problem is none of them have been as good as D2. It was and still is a masterpiece. The original FFVII is still a masterpiece. Super Mario Bros. is still a masterpiece. Old games don't get devalued over time ffs. The funny thing is this reviewer probably unironically plays NES games from before his time and praises them because they are "retro".
@BlackOmegaTM: It's because he's like 12 years old and used to games holding his hand every step of the way. The original review from 2000 is still up and that's an 8.5. It's the same exact game with graphical improvements, and some clowns like this reviewer are actually comparing it to modern games. The funny thing is this game shits on most modern games even with its "flaws"
@judgemodos: Articles like this just prove that the left will literally scratch and claw to find something, anything, to be offended by. This game is the textbook definition of pandering which caused many eye-roll moments, and yet it still gets criticized. News flash to these hack "game" journalists, most gamers don't care about your fake crusade.
Please, for the sake of the medium, quit your "job" and never write anything again. The fact that GameSpot, a site that used to be at the very top of gaming websites with IGN, even allowed this drivel to be published is an embarrassment to everything that gaming news should be.
I wonder if there is a big push to get men in fields dominated by women. Maybe we should just let people do what interests them instead of pushing people into what they clearly don't want to do.
Is this really a big loss? The Cod campaigns are short, scripted, ultra linear crap. Yeah, they have some cool moments, but overall they are trash. If anything, they should rework how they do campaigns entirely, and extend them to about 12-15 hours to complete.
Then once they have done that, they should sell the single player campaign and multi-player separately for $30 each. It would keep everyone happy with options.
