Why does AtariKid keep trying? I find it hilarious on how he insists that Nintendo is on the verge of death when Sony itself is on its last legs. He's had a lot of posts with a lot of irony lately. :lol:

His posts and rebuttles have been weakening for a time now. The Wii and the DS are dead? The Wii just outsold the Vita in Week 1 of 2012. Let that sink in for a bit. The Wii. Outsold the Vita. While it IS in Japan, it does tell you that people were more willing to buy the Wii than they would the Vita, despite being "dead". The sales for the Wii in Japan will rise once Dragon Quest X hits.

What does this all mean? Nintendo has another system seller to be released in Japan, leading to more profit, saving them from what this doom thing you are claiming. Is the Wii's sales slowing down? Yeah, it's been selling for nearly 6 years, of course it's going to go down. As for the DS, it already did its job, and sold more than PS2 did in Japan, I don't think it really matters whether the DS is dead or not at this point, not to mention the 3DS is picking up where the DS left off.

Just save yourself from further embarrassment. You were wrong once, deal with it.

I hope you know that videogames it is not the only thing that Sony produce and PS3 and PSP sell very good.I hope you know that Sony have dominate 2 gens with the PSone and PS2 and the PS3 have won in terms of quality and games.I also hope that you have enjoy the HD games,like Dead Space and Batman AA,and the awesome online on the Wii...lolAtariKidX

So, what does the bold have to do with Nintendo's and Sony's current situation? Are you relying on Sony's legacy with PSOne and PS2 THAT much? I hope you know that Sony, as a WHOLE, is in the red. I hope you know that the whole "which console wins in quality and games" argument is opinion based. I hope youo know just how dumb and ignorant you look right now denying facts provided others around you.

Ouch. You know, even after all the bashing from the Sony fanboys (Mainly AtariKid) gave the 3DS when it was just released, I'm starting to feel bad now. :lol:
Yeah, they took it a bit far claiming it would outsell/annihilate the 3DS, and we're pretty ignorant when it comes to Nintendo's legacy with the handheld market, but damn. Being hit this hard for 4 weeks straight is pretty brutal.

Karma's a *****, huh? But hey, the 3DS and its faction got through months of the Sony onslaught, so why can't the PSV and its faction do the same?

Personally, I think Sony should cut the prices on the memory card a bit, seeing is a Vita price cut is out of the question. That and games, the games right now are as bad as the 3DS' games when it first launch. No system sellers at all.

Let me ask you this, TC:
Was adding the ability to play DVDs NECESSARY to to gaming consoles? No?

As for me, I'm glad the Wii, along with the PS3 and 360 came about and delivered me games.
Sure, the Wii may not be as powerful as its competitors, but its exclusives is something I will always come back to.
Graphics don't make the console, and I think the Wii has proven this to a degree.

Somewhere, Shinji Hashimoto is reading this and laughing his ass off.
"If people want a sequel, they should buy more!" he says. Yep, I just don't see it happening. Isn't the trademark for Chrono Break expiring this year? :|

Hmm, well if the PS4 isn't announced this E3, then it'd be understandable given Sony's current situation. Besides, I think a stronger focus on Vita may be just what they need to boost its lacklustre sales.

Made some valid points. Seriously, and the fact that I hear 15 year olds say that Mario is for kids and all that REALLY doesn't help this "mature" and "hardcore" community.

They are currently profiting on the PS3 for years now and as well as Vita. They can obviously release the PS4 with an actual profit if they are going to learn by their mistakes on the PS3. Not releasing the system in the near future is completely stupid and who ever believes that is an idiot.XenogearsMaster

I'm pretty sure someone has said that Sony is losing $50-$60 per Vita sold...
But yeah, Sony isn't going anywhere as far as we could tell. I mean, it's just too early to call.

Both Microsoft and SOny said they were not competing with the Wii. They were competing with eachother. And since Sony played it lazy, Microsoft got the 360 out a year early and buried the PS3 instantly into a grave it could never get itself out of. If Sony doesn't show off the Ps4 at E3. The will get the same ass kicking again.reach3

That's the thing though, they may get their ass kicked again, but that definitely doesn't mean they're doomed or anything. Sony's been through the whole PS3's early life disaster and came out fine, selling about 60 million units. And yes, while both MS and Sony said that they were not competing with the Wii, I was just following your example,

PS1 = launched before N64. Won.
PS2 = launched before Gamecube and Xbox. Won.
PSP = launched after DS. Lost.
Ps3 = launched last. Lost.
Vita = launched after 3DS. lost.reach3

See, by this logic, since the 360 came out first, a year earlier at that, it should have won, correct? But we all know that this was not the case. Instead we see that the Wii overtook the position for selling the most units and the PS3 slowly catching up to the 360 until recently.

While I am not saying there there is no chance Sony is going to sink, it is TOO EARLY to tell on what fate will befall on Sony if they fail to announce the PS4 at E3. Way too early. Besides, without Sony and its fanboys, system wars just wouldn't be as interesting. Lol.

But I thought handheld gaming was dead? /troll
On a serious note, I'm glad Sony acknowledges that there is still a market for handhelds. With my preparation for school and everything else lately, I've barely had time to play consoles so I play much more handhelds, and I can't wait until I get my hands on VITA... although I'd probably have to wait a few months. :(
