Thanks. We'll look into those items. I'd definitely prefer the new site design to work better than the old one.

[QUOTE="UpInFlames"]I'm officially a huge step closer to getting myself one of these. :Dxsubtownerx
You will not regret it. :)
He will if he gets addicted to points or starts playing Burnout Paradise on Sundays.
[QUOTE="skatatay"]I was kinda hoping that the unions would be improved with this new beta but i guess not. I like unions the way they are but from what i read about unions V2, it looks so much better.kcwsk8Just because they havent been improved yet, doesnt mean they wont be improved now. There is hope, we have even heard from admins in this thread.;)
There may be an unintended timetable applied to my comment (in this thread at least) about union improvements. The rest of the site will be getting some finishing very soon (and by very soon I mean within the next few months). We have tournaments, forum, and other pages still getting polished. Unions is something a lot of us (not the least of whom is me) would like to see improved. My hope is the current technical problems plaguing unions can be addressed as we work to release the next iteration of community-centered contributions.
We are not short on development opportunities, we are working on big plans right now. I appreciate the votes and the written expression of support for unions. Understanding how many people want unions improved is critical for determining overall priorities for the many important GameSpot projects we have in the pipeline. Right now we don't have a brand new union system waiting in the wings to be simply switched on if enough people vote.
By similar weight, the people who don't ike unions have just as much right to their opinion as those who devoutly support union improvements. We respect everybody's feedback and take it all to heart. In short, the reason I encourage everybody to respond to this grassroots survey is so we, as admins, can ensure we support the right projects at the right time.
Thanks again for your support and your feedback. Please continue to look forward to future improvements.
I hope we see something new after all the site updates.
Keep voting everybody! The more responses we get, the more likely something will happen . . . whether you want unioins to die, unions to live, or for them to evolve, make your voice heard.
We had hoped to have the problems created by the Microsoft outage fixed by today. Unfortunately, It will be another week. With Comic-Con and other matters that will present themselves soon enough, we need to work on those.
Next week I will be personally addressing all issues present in this thread to this point.
As Caddy and Drac mentioned, even staff and mods have suffered the same emblem deprivation you now endure. I appreciate your patience and hope to have everything cleared up by the end of next week. As a reminder, the policy for this E3 was not to provide complementary emblem awards. Given the unforeseen outages experienced on Monday and Tuesday, that policy has been adjusted.
We can consider that for next year.
This year's requirements are neither being detailed at this time nor changed.
We value all of users. If we can do it and it makes sense, I don't see why we couldn't make it happen.
If you saw one page, then you answered some of the screening questions in a way that eliminated you from responding to the rest of the questions. The thing about good surveys . . . you never see all the options.
Don, considering you're someone who attends a "top-tier business school", did it ever occur to you to, you know, just ask us what changes we'd like to see, rather than asking us to fill out (at least what I would consider) a semi-useless survey?
PBSnipes
Indeed.
We ask all the time. A lot of times we are told even without us asking. This survey is part of that top-tier business school's curriculum. I am not having you guys do my work for me, but I need a quota of survey feedback in order to complete an assignment.
Also, I wonder if I'll get modded for this shameless bump.
PBSnipes
No moderation. . . yet.
;)
Thanks everybody for your responses.
