Oh, it's not THAT bad. just difficult compared to most modern RPGs.

Keeps the old game mechanics, like not saving in dungeons.

It's difficulty on a scale of one to ten is probably a seven.

FF3 is good if you enjoy difficult RPGs (Which I do.)

So, if you don't wanna sissy dumbed down remake, FF3 is pretty much as old-school a remake can get.

It's awesome, I thuroughly enjoyed it, I'd say to get that.

One more bit of advice, which may not help at all, but hey.

I can't actually see the pictures you posted for whatever reason, so I don't know if it's a DSL or a regular DS, but if it's DSL you may consider buying an original DS.

They're much tougher.

Perhaps it's being knocked around in it's case? or maybe it's being opened too far, or shut too hard. Maybe you hold it too tightly. or worse yet, maybe someone else uses it without you knowing? (siblings?

Cracks don't just appear outta nowhere like mold.

I've had my DS for a year, and not a single problem.

True! I had actually forgotten about that. And also some games to look forward to are: Heroes of Mana(RTS DS!), FFXII Revenant Wings, Luminous Arc, and my personal most anticipated; FFTA2!
