No way. I love them. Some of my favorite games ever are single player only.

RTS: don't like the genre but if i had to pick something i guess i'd go with Warcraft 3

WRPG: tie between Mass Effect 2 and Fallout 3

JRPG: Final Fantasy 9

Family: LBP

Racing: Sim goes to Forza 2 (haven't played the 3rd yet)..... and Kart goes to ANY Mario kart

Sports: My fondest memory with a sports game were with NFL 2K5.... played this one religously for months

Fighting: MvC2

Platformer: Tie between R&C:ToD and Mario Galaxy

Adventure: Zelda: Windwaker

Survival Horror: Eternal Darkness

Valve definitely takes the cake for now. But Bungie consistently creeps closer and closer to being my new favorite FPS developer.

Easily Mario

Eternal Darkness was such outstanding game. It was so incredibly different from anything i had played at the time, and it was such a creepy gameplay experience on top of everything. SOOO demented and i loved every minute of it. :)
