I guess with casual games, you could get everyone to play on them and perhaps generate a wider profit margin than Hardcore games because of the low budget of producing them. That's not to say they are bad. (I've spent hours playing Angry Birds.) Hardcore games doesn't necessarily rely on "normal" advertisements, they also rely on media hype. This is something that casual games do not have when they are being built.
Possible still see emo-haired teenagers get together to rebel against an established huge empire. It doesn't matter. I think RPG's will go mobile and online. Maybe we get stats and levelling up for our daily lives e.g. +1 experience points for making toast, or +25 goodwill for helping the elderly to cross the world.
Well the 7th guest is a puzzle/adventure game but you need to put effort into running the game (because it's old). There are tons of help online to make the game run if you choose to buy it. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_7th_Guest
