Finished it last night, the game is a 7 at best, can't believe media is giving this such high scores, Tales of Arise is 100 times more of a "10" than this, Kena was also way better.
@tmthywtsn: Ganondorf skin is Dark Green not black,... if you are mixing up Orc like creautures with people of colour then you are the real problem here.
@Sepewrath: i loved origins even though the plot was very cliched, i didnt like 2 very much, i thought Inquisition was pretty decent, but again, very western/cliched plot. All in all i'm a very moderate "fan" of the franchise. i'd just like the next one not to be Anthem with swords. (which is what is rumored to be).
1.- Deep RPG mechanics with a wide arrange fo skills and classes, with grounded methodical combat that require strategy or at least a sliver of critical thinking.
2.- Likeable and well designed characters, with both memorable personalities and visual designs.
3.- I want a well thought and original story, that doesn't rely only on "gather allies/teamates to fight the inpending menace", i want them to take more risks with their thematics.
4.- Lots of dialogue options and paths with actual consequences for the characters, even if the actual story/overarching plot stays mostly the same.
5.- REALISTIC crafting, as in u gather the materials from diffcult enemies and areas to craft whatever u want, with stats u want and the apperance want.
6.- No microtransactions, and no "loot" based gear as in "common" "rare" "legendary"

What i'm 97.0% sure we'll get:
1.- Simplistic 1,2,3 combat with "perks" that only increase damage and defense by a raw number. They will hide the deficient gameplay by calling it "Action RPG", Magess goo bboomsss, warrior go woosshhh wooshsh slashhhh.
2.- Average and boring looking charcaters for the sake of "realism" and signaling of fake maturity, their whole stories will focus on what "they are" and not on what "they do".
3.- Generic story with one dimensional villian, we'll have to to gather allies and solve their differences so they join againts a common treat blah blah, same as always.
4.- Few dialogue options. with black and white options and consequences, most quests leading to casual sex without any kind of build up or any kind of character development afterwards, because writing is hard and instant gratification is gud.
5.- No crafting at all, or will need scrap 100 legendary items to craft a single 1 one with random stats.
6.- Lots of microtransactions and time savers, totally loot based with enemies and chests exploding like piƱatas on a rain of color.
I would very glad to be proven totally wrong tho. As an old time RPG fan, i would LOVE for this comment age poorly.
@m4a5: There's no games out there that take gunplay seriously, its the other way around. everything seems exactly just like this game with weird guns and stuff.
