Wh is xbxo360 is weak from PS3?

This is my cut and paste answer. The reason for that is because a tech info is a tech info, you can't beat it (sources below). Also this question is so often!!!

PS3 will win the console war, no doubt. Xbox 360 and Wii are so weak from technological point of view, that in couple of years they won't be capable of dealing with serious graphics. GTA IV, for instance, isn't even announced for Wii - this toy won't be able to cope with the game's requirements. Xbox 360 is getting GTA IV, however, the game is going to be released on several DVDs - Xbox 360 owners will have to interrupt gaming process and switch discs (Rockstar complained about this issue). Only PS3 will have it on single BD-DVD.

Let's compare PS3 and XBOX 360:

1). A third of XBOX 360 (33%) are malfunctioning right from the start. PS3 return rate is only around 0.2%. Despite some people say, that new 360 has no breakdown issues - just visit Xbox section of Yahoo answers and see for yourself an amount of complaints.
2). PS3 has 7 kernels in Cell processor, Xbox 360 -only 3.
3). PS3 uses advanced tech called Blu-Ray, one disc can store up to 25 (single layer) and dual layer 54 gb (in the future - up to 200 gb), Xbox 360 - regular dual layer DVD-9 (8.5GB). It's possible to get HD-DVD (max. - 30GB) for 360, but it'll cost you around 50$. Besides, HD-DVD had lost the format war with Blu-ray. Toshiba had stopped to manufacture them, Microsoft too.
4). Calculations per sec - PS3 - 51-billion-dot-product-operati... per second
Xbox 360 - 33.6-billion-dot-product-opera... per second
5). PS3 has full media support - USBs, built-in 4 slots card reader (except 20GB and 40GB versions), ability to use printer and so on.
Xbox 360 has USBs and only 2 memory slots.
6). PS3 supports up to 7 Bluetooth Controllers
Xbox 360 - up to 4 Controllers
7). PS3 - wi-fi included (except 20 gb version)
Xbox 360 - wi-fi will cost you around 100 $
8). From the first technical sight - graphics are stronger in 360 (it has a stronger graphics chip - Xenos), BUT PS3 can use it's Cell CPU for graphics too, which gives you better graphics in total. PS3 uses a weaker RSX chip, that was developed by Nvidia exclusively for PS3. RSX runs on 550 Mhz. It's difficult to compare their graphics, because 360 has a video chip with totally different structure and operating memory is divided differently in both consoles. Xbox isn't that versatile in dividing tasks between CPU and GPU as PS3. That's why PS3 exclusives look better than 360's exclusives.
9). Xbox 360 is widely known for so-called "red ring of death" problem - it gets overheated easily. My PS3 was running for more than 15 hours non-stop with no problems. Sometimes Xbox 360 becomes so overheated, that thermopaste on CPU melts, drips on motherboard and successfully shortcircuits it. That's why in some countries people call Xbox 360 "Coffin 360".
10). Besides all of this, I've seen disassembled Xbox 360 - regular PC architecture - Billy Gates is an uninventive nerd (as usual).
When I saw disassembled PS3 - it was a surprise - smart architecture, good cooling (don't buy external PS3 coolers - they make everything worse - original system is good), etc.
11). In 2008 PS3 will get more than 300 games, including Metal Gear Solid 4, The Agent and other great exclusives. Here is the good link to the future PS3 releases. http://ps3.ign.com/index/release.html......
12). PS3 online is free, Xbox 360 - you have to pay.
13). There were reports, that 360 scratches discs. No reports on that in PS3.
14). The funniest thing, that right now there are no games for PS3, that show full potential of the console. Biggest games weigh only 25 GB (Xbox 360 will need more than 3 discs even for those).
15). On PS3 you can install other OS, such as Linux Yellow Dog, Ubuntu and others. Sony officially lets you do it. There is no such thing in 360.
16). PS3 HDD can be replaced easily with any 2.5" SATA 5400 RPM HDD (used in laptops). 250 GB will cost you around 170$. In 360 you have to buy exclusive HDD, where 20GB will cost you 100$.
17).Sony expects PS3 to stay on the market for, at least, 7-10 years. Also Sony reduces price now. There is a cheaper 40GB version of PS3.
18).Sony constantly upgrades PS3 software (free updates for OS) - you get new functions and improvements.
19). PS3 controller (sixaxis) has a motion control - you move controller - game responds. Wii has it, Xbox 360 - doesn't. PS3 is getting rumble controller (Dualshock 3) on 15.04.2008, Japan already has it. On www.ebay.com I saw those controllers on sale 50$ and up (unofficial import).
20).On PS3 you can help sick people by running Folding Home project. Wii and Xbox 360 didn't even think about it.
21).New 40GB is 399$ or 399 euro (depends on the region) - it has no backwards compatibility with PS2 games, has 2 USBs instead of 4, no built-in card reader, but it's the same PS3, strong, reliable, less noisy, different cooling system. The price is friendly.
22). But, to be just, I'm not a PS3 fanboy, so (despite I own one) hear this - PS3 games (exclusives) are very hard to develop due to complicated Cell's architecture. We have to wait till developers will figure out how to develop games properly. Sometimes multiplatform games run not so good on PS3 due to the same developing issues - it's hard for developers to get a grip on such advanced technologies.

I didn't mention Wii, because it's so weak, no point to talk about it. Leave it for kindergarten and casual games

Xmen Origons

Hollywood blockbuster season is almost upon us. The coming weeks will see the arrival of some of the biggest and most expensive popcorn films ever made. While they may vary in their appeal, most will have one thing in common: they will spawn a video game which, if the traditional quality trend of movie tie-in games is adhered to, will be middling to poor.

However, one title scheduled for release on May 1 looks set to buck the trend. X-Men Origins: Wolverine will hit video game shops just as cinemagoers flock to their nearest multiplex to watch the corresponding film, which charts the story of Wolverine, played by Hugh Jackman, from his violent childhood to his eventual role within the XMen

The game has benefited from a far longer development period than is usual for a movie tie-in. Raven Software started work on it almost three years ago, before the Wolverine film was even a twinkle in the film studio's eye.

"When we first started work on Wolverine, there were only rumours about a movie," says Dan Vondrak, project leader at Raven. "From our standpoint, this was never a movie game to start with."

Once production on the movie got under way, however, 20th Century Fox naturally wanted some "synergy" to exist between their movie and the game. Given the tumultuous relationship between games and movies, Raven was understandably wary.

"Once we heard they were doing a movie, we kind of shied away from it. We wanted to make sure the vision we had for the character didn't get diluted," says Vondrak. "We'd heard horror stories about making movie games, so we were a little bit nervous going in.

"Basically the arrangement we came to was that, as long as everyone stayed out of our way, we'd be more than happy to work with Fox."

It is quite clear that Raven had very different ideas from Fox about what they wanted to do with the character. The game boasts far more adult content than is on display in the movie trailer, or indeed any of the films in the X-Men franchise, none of which have received a higher rating than a 12A.

The British Board of Film Classification has already given the Wolverine video game an 18 rating and it's not hard to see why. As players progress through the multilayered story, which covers the movie plot and runs tangentially to it, Wolverine eviscerates wave after wave of opponents bloodily and brutally.

While the violence on display might strike casual onlookers as gratuitous, Vondrak insists it is in keeping with the comic book source material.

"If you ever read the Barry Windsor-Smith 'Weapon X' stories [which are the game's inspiration], he's a very feral beast inside that comic. Our aim was to tell that story, before he got domesticated with the X-Men."

He says that Fox was initially a little put off by the game's content, but Raven stayed true to its vision.

"This isn't a watered-down version. We're fans of the character ourselves so we never hesitated and we never compromised. We thought that the bigger and more brutal we could make it, the better."

Ultimately, what probably guarantees the game's success is that studio interference was kept to a minimum.

"We got a script of the movie and it was obviously very different from the script we had for the game," says Vondrak.

"There were some times when Fox told us we might want to take a couple of characters out because they weren't going to be in the movie, and we felt strongly enough to keep them in the game.

"The flow back and forth between our script and theirs worked out really well. The end result is you can't really tell where our story begins and theirs ends."

By controlling the final edit, Raven has created a movie tiein game that could stand as the benchmark in its field. Indeed, it may become the best movie-based game since Rareware's revered take on the James Bond film Goldeneye, which was released in 1997.

Where once they were considered spin-off merchandise, movie tie-in games may soon be as respected and influential as the films they're linked to. One wonders how long it will be before they start having more of an effect on stories than the movies themselves

Realistically however many people will find this enjoyable.Graphics83/100The overhauled engine and graphics are very pretty. Also included is the Dark Athena chapter, an expansion of the original game with a new story and new gameplay features. God Father 2

April 7, 2009 - Whenever a company attempts to touch a well known and loved property, they tread into particularly dangerous territory. Go too loose with the interpretation, and you'll get roasted by fans and critics for completely abandoning the source material; too close and there's practically no point in making the game version at all. This was the tightrope that Electronic Arts had to walk with The Godfather II, an action title that attempts to follow some key elements of the acclaimed film. Adding in a healthy dose of strategy to aid fledgling Dons with their criminal empire, The Godfather II provides a good dose of entertainment, but the lack of difficulty holds the game back from truly becoming a great crime game.

Forget Robert De Niro and the tales of a young Vito Corleone in New York - The Godfather II focuses on Michael Corleone, starting with the meeting of the families in Havana to divide up Hyman Roth's empire. Unfortunately, the business is never concluded because the Cuban Revolution forces everyone to flee the country. As Dominic, a soldier of Aldo Trapani (the protagonist of the first Godfather game who has risen to run all of the Corleone business in New York), you wind up leading Michael, Fredo and Aldo to the airport in an attempt to flee. However, as you get to the runway, Aldo is shot and killed, prompting Michael to promote you into Aldo's place. The promotion comes with a significant burden, though: you need to re-establish control of New York, then expand to Miami and eventually Cuba to strengthen your family's control. Of course, other families will stand in your way, and it's up to you to eliminate them by any means necessary to aid in your domination of the crime world.

which is better DBZ or DBGT?

I would say Dragonball. But since it's not an option I guess Z. I haven't watched all of GT however, but it seems to have gone the way of the pokemon shows, less about story, character, and overall heart, and become more about pumping out as many episodes as they can so as to make more money. In its defense, GT does have a lot of heart despite what I just said, and it has its own unique sort of charm that still holds true to the characters. And in the end they are what really made Dragonball for me in the first place.
