I would do it, too. Who cares about integrity for freaking entertainment? It doesn't mean ANYTHING. It's not like the government is lying about their super-secret laboratories where they conduct Nazi-like experiments. It's stupid and means nothing. Plus, it would not change many peoples' minds. Grand Theft Auto IV would have still probably done really well.

Yeah. Only idiots who don't understand how console generations work will say otherwise.

So as of right now, there's seventeen idiots on this board? I think this poll is a little too kind to System Wars.

You can't base someone's intelligence off their criteria for a generation. It's semantics. Would you judge someone's intelligence off their religious beliefs? System generations are arbitrary.

[QUOTE="delta3074"][QUOTE="jg4xchamp"][QUOTE="AmnesiaHaze"] RE4 is nothing special compared to RE6 , you cant move and shoot at the same time and the graphics are worse in RE4 :D

Resident Evil 4 is an excellent game. Even with some of its more dated design it still can clown just about any action game that came after it. Game is filled with some of the best encounter design in the entire genre.

certainly is, i already had it for the Cube but i forked out to buy the HD version on the 360, amazing game to boot, it felt better balanced than 5 i liked the east european setting as well.

Uhm... Resident Evil 4 takes place exclusively in Spain. That's why they speak Spanish. Did you just think, "Oh wow, this place looks like crap, but it has white people in it, so I guess it must be in Eastern Europe." Spain is in Southwest Europe and has a few old abandoned villages like that. It's a lot more developed than Eastern Europe.

Uh, no, the 3DS did back in March 2011. Handhelds should not be disregarded if we're going to include PC.

As some may know, the presence of God has dipped over the years. While there were tons of apparitions in the Middle Ages to kings and other leaders, now it seems limited to poor people who aren't obsessed with material value.

Yes, it's inevitable that humans will continue playing God (we've already achieved cloning, vaccines that change the body's immune system, have artificial hearts and other organs, prostetic legs and arms, etc.). I'm just wondering when the final nail will be. It will never be "too much for humans." Our greed will always overlook what is right.

Everyone here will call me crazy. Go ahead. But 200 years ago, anastethics for women during childbirth were frowned upon because it's God's punishment to women for Eve disobeying him. He wants women to suffer during childbirth. You say that's ridiculous? Well, when it was first introduced, doctors agreed. And had you artificially extended someone's life they way we do now with medicine and artificial organs, people would be outraged. Now no one cares.

Let me ask you all this: Why do people say that modern society is "going downhill" if everyone's open to treatment like this? Surely they realize the behavior and attitudes of people centuries ago were much different towards technology? Even Mother Theresa did not like modern medicine, and she's considered the greatest person of the 20th century.

Well, what do you guys think?

Not going to include the 21st century since we're only roughly 1/10th through it.

'Kay, so imperalism and human zoos were prominent throughout Europe's and America's colonies in the former half. Yes, people would pay to observe the "primitive" Africans or Southeast Asians in their natural habitat. People referred to non-whites, particularly Africans, as "the missing link." They put Africans and other non-Europeans above the great apes but lower than the European man. You think fanboys are pathetic for their superiority complex and unwarranted loyalty? At least they aren't harming people like these jerks.

Men could still rape their wives well into the second half of the 20th century. I'm pretty sure Canada didn't criminalize it until 1984 (some time in the 1980s), and America was definitely after the 1950s. Women were objectified. It's hard to see how prevelant this really was because the mass media isn't as big as it is today.

Censorship was bad, too. I am personally in favor of this, since it wouldn't kill people to have humility, but you couldn't cuss or show people in the same bed or have a "bad ending." Adaptations of books were "fixed" to fit the harsh criteria. Oh, and you want to protest? Well, screw you and the first amendment!

Schools prohibited the teaching of evolution or limited it (microevolution only, no macroevolution), particularly in the south. The Catholic Church never denied evolution for the record and have accepted for decades now.

Child abuse was socially accepted; expected actually. Despite studies that showed links between low IQ and violent behavior for getting a "well-deserved whooping," people still did it.

And worst of all, WARS and WARLORDS. Holy crap. Democracy turns to crap, especially in Eastern Europe. Dictators take advantage of vulnerable people and make widescale wars. At least the wars of the 19th century were limited to the armies, but everyone was caught in the crapstorm that was World War I and II. And during the 1920s and 1930s, even more wars and disputes over land in the east.

Henious crimes committed. I remember hearing a documentary that talked about how the Russians forced German women to watch them nail their kids on a cross, and then they raped the women. Tons of genocide, including the Holocaust, Armenian Genocide, and the one in China. And if you're Japanese (or some other type of Northeast Asian) American in America? Off to internment camp for you! Tons of anti-semitism and racism.

Actually, ya know what, 21st century is better. Why does all the youth of today complain about the modern world? At least there's not as many dictators intentionally causing famine to kill populations.

Freedomfreak is definitely in the running for most boring person here. He should probably work on getting a personality and possibly stop posting on GameSpot all the time.
