[QUOTE="Drathyl"]Gaming on a pc is riddled with constant tweaking. Mini ninjas crashes every 20 minutes, dark star one can't run on 1680*1050 for some odd reason, borderlands suddenly slows to a crawl, bad company 2 for a very long time was very slow to load maps with ATI cards. Connection problems with solution being update network drivers. Well my network card is integrated. Well lets find out the motherboard model and get the drivers for that. Hardly the best platform for gaming. I'm tired of that. On xbox I put the disc in and start playing. If there is ever need for an update, I just choose yes, I do want the console do the work for me. It is just silly to call PC the best gaming platform.Frozzik
Funny, i have mini ninja's, my 8 year old loves it (see steam sig), its my second most played game this week, not 1 crash. Never had any of the other issues either. Don't get me wrong, there are sometimes problems that do come with PC but many are through user error or simply caused by not keeping up with drivers/updates. Steam is a great program for this.
Honestly, my 2 gaming Pc's are used for gaming and nothing else, i have a laptop for everything else. Rarely do i have any issues at all.
Yes but thats the problem: keeping up with the drivers. And sometimes you just can't figure out what crashes it even though have drivers up to date and computer clean of spyware. My computer runs starcraft 2 flawlessly, but my friends computer crashes every once in a awhile. There have been reports of overheating with starcraft, but I have no problems. This is the problem with pc gaming. It's not always user problems. The problem is the infinite complexity of different hardware setups and drivers. And that's why I cannot recommend PC as a gaming platform.
Let's say I'm a stupid user and all the problems are caused by me. Well xbox is awesome since even stupid person like me doesn't have problems with it. Oh and I'm a programmer so I do now a thing or two about computers.
