Ok. Lets say I'm a noob that wants to play games so I go to the hardware forum to ask questions. Putting aside the fact that you get horrible advises there, I miraculously succeed to buy a 600 dollar pc that runs crysis on very high with 60 fps based on their suggestions. Lets say that the parts all arrive intact to my house. So now I gotta assemble it. I take the manual and install it. Oh snap pc doesn't come with one manual. Every part comes with its own. Which one do I read? I don't even know what these parts do.
6 hours later I think I got everything there. I push the power button, but it doesn't start. What is wrong? Can you guess? I can't give you any clues because I'm a noob that just bought the computer based on advises from the internet. So where do I start fixing? For this story's sake, I will just say that god intervened and fixed all my problems for me. That's right. There were multiple things that I messed up. I forgot to connect the fan power, one of the memory sticks wasn't properly put, failed at connecting the leds and power button to the motherboard and I forgot to put the switch in the power unit to on.
But through gods intervention, my machine starts. There's like million things flashing in the monitor that I don't understand. Let's say that I am smart enough to figure that I have to put the Windows Vista dvd in the drive. So the installation starts. I don't understand anything about partitions and such, I'll just answer yes to everything.
Yay I'm in Vista, but there is no sounds and the Internet doesn't work. I've heard of drivers, but I don't actually have a clue what those are and where to get those. If you read all the manuals that came with the parts, you would notice that those cd's that came with them have drivers. But there's like a million manuals and I will not read them all. If I have another pc with internet connection, I can ask on the forums for help. But the other pc doesn't have a monitor because I took it and plugged it in my new gaming computer. But apparently I just have to put it back to my old pc and ask for advise.
Super easy. I didn't even get to play games yet.
Are you saying that this legistlation wouldn't help at all? And is there any reason why it shouldn't be passed? And since you compared games to booze, are you saying that it should be legal to sell booze to minors?Any parent that does not know what games their children are playing already, will not get any more help from this law.
Last I checked High School kids still get booze pretty easy and all the "just say no" commercials aimed at the little idiots leads me to believe drugs are still a problem.
I can't wait to hear little timmy yelling over my headset about "busting a cap in someones ass".......
This wont help all the MIA parents out there.

tie fighter=xcellanttionmedonBut wasn't that game remade with the xwing vs tie fighter engine. Which brings me to my next point: to me there are as much remakes in game world as there are in movie world.
