We're the best at what we do...Runaway!

Runaways fever! Hey, doesn't mean that Kanjo and Avrura are the only one's that can do it. Drew's got some tricks up his sleeve.

LAZERS!

...and here's Chase! By the way, I still haven't found any new icons of our resident Talkbacker, but don't worry, I'll keep looking.

This is Nico...enough said.

To kanjo :)

Oh My God.

Now this has GOT TO #$@%-ing HURT!

Runaways....RUN AWAY!

...and for the big finish, a nice little grand pic of the cast. Challenge fans to recognize as much characters as possible.

Happy Hunting.

Unleash your inner demon...

So yeah, I haven't been online as much as I normally do these past couple of days. I'm sure some of you might have noticed that, friends to be precise. And to answer any questions that will arise in due time, the reason for my AWOL is because of this:

Devil May Cry 4

The game came out on February 6 and I was there to see it happen. Yeah, the cashier just went "We have Devil May Cry 4 now available, so please form a nice orderly line in front of the counter." Likewise, I love the game so much and it's more addicting than popping bubble wrap for a consecutive number of hours.

For fellow DMC fans, I did get the Collector's Edition. The metal tin case was simply too awesome to pass up for a couple of dollars more, and the included english-dubbed anime was icing on the cake.

The real money worthy prize is definetly the game itself. Although I got a taste of the demon-slaying in the demo, Nero's abilities still doesn't compare to the wise-cracking series' veteran, Dante. Instant S T Y L E switching literally opens up limitless combo possibilities, and although his weapons gallery has been shortened, this certainly makes up for that fall-out.

My only complaint on the game is that there was slightly too much backtracking. The bosses never get old and I could kick their ass a thousands times and for me, it'd still be fun as hell, but it would've been nice if Dante was given his own set of grusomes to massively pawn.

On the lighter note, I just finished the game yesterday on "Devil Hunter" difficulty and I'm already planning to complete it in both "Human" and "Son of Sparda". I'm even going to run my money in the old school "Bloody Palace" mode, maybe earn a couple of easy Proud Souls from it.

Yours truly is ranked the 1389th best player in the Devil May Cry Network global ranking. I know, I suck but you know, I always laugh whenever I see the top rankers. They're all japanese

Well, thanks for reading, I'm going to spend the next few minutes to think about whether I'm going to stay at the computer or go ahead and play the game again :D

Devil May Cry 4 - Demo

It was certainly worth the 3 week wait in my opinion. Sure Capcom blew us off with the "Early 2008" archive comment, we've been waiting like crazy every Thursday the weeks to come, but when the updated demo did come out last Thursday, January 24, I've been playing it non stop.

Well, not really, I stopped right now didn't I?

Nero
The demo undoubtedly shows off the series' new protagonist, Nero, and his vicious demonic arm and unique arsenal of weaponry. From the white-haired hero's fast firing double barrel revolver, the Blue Rose, to his revved up single blade broad sword, the Red Queen, and let's not forget Nero's glowing, ruthless demonic arm which allows him to snatch, crush, and throw just about anything that comes in his way.

Devil May Cry 4 gameplay
It might only be 670 MB as compared to other game demos (who nearly reach atleast 1 GB) but the demo is divided into two addicting game modes. Exterminator mode lands players in a fast paced 10 minute run through an enemy infested level, allowing players to freely unleash Hell for as long as the time allows them.

Next is Executioner mode where players come face to face with the game's first boss battle, Berial. The fiery beast is one of first of the series' intimidating behemoths that's sure to give both newcomers and veterans a worthy fight that'll leave you wanting another rematch.

Dante Entrance
Although the demo was incredible, it would've been nice if Capcom included a playable segment of Devil May Cry's signature devil hunter, Dante. With his updated list of tricks straight out of his preceeding game and literally a trunk-load of demonic weapons, Dante proves to still hold his place in the game as a strong-suited playable character in the final game.

With the game at the verge of release in February 5, it's only a matter of time until we finally get to dig our hands into the controller as more fast-paced stylish action. Until then, I'm probably going to sharpen my moves with this short but sweet demo.

New DeviantArt Account

Well, kanjo wanted me to do it. And how could I say "no" to that girl? Nonetheless, here it is and it already has some Deviations in it already:

DrewXIII

You'll notice that I used a different alias on this one (not the usual Drew0313) but it's safe to say that I regularly alternate between these two names. On some accounts I use Drew0313 but on some I use DrewXIII, I'd list 'em all right now but I'm just too lazy to do so :P

I know Kanjo, Helene, and Psycotica had their own accounts, add me as a friend you guys, ok? I don't see what the point of doing another account that nobody bothers to check out. Like my old account. Now I remember why I pulled the plug on that thing.

On the other news: Devil May Cry 4 demo is still not here and Global Warming continues.

Peace out.

4 Hours...

Yeah, that's how long this took. All in all, it was worth it. (Atleast I think it is) Final Cut-and-Color of my RPG character, Raz, and since I don't have a DA account anymore, I hope people won't mind I post it here in my blog.
Raz
And now if you'll excuse me, I'll go rest my eyes for a little bit.

Peace out 2007

It's been a great year for '07 and what a hell of a year it was. Laughs, surprises, and edge of your seat progams and videogames, there's just too much to tell to even fit in this blog page. Alot of things graced those memorable 365 days and since I haven't posted jack squat here in my lame blog, why not take a trip down memory line, right?

BESTS FROM 2007 (for Drew at the least)

HEROES: Generations
The highly anticipated Volume 2 of HEROES: "Generations" It might have been short but it was still as phenomenal as it's first. Catching Volume 3: "Villains" in due time.

The Storm Hawks
Premiere of the suprisingly good new series, Storm Hawks, on Cartoon Network. May be one of my favorite TV shows for months to come. The timeslot may have been difficult but as always, "The Skies are never the limit!"

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
Release of the uber awesome PS3 game, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, by Naughty Dog. Underrated and under appreciated, but still one of the hallmark games of the Playstation 3.

Assassins Creed
Kristin Bell starring in her videogame debut as Lucy Stillman in Assassin's Creed (note: that is not her in the picture, if you did think that then I fear you may need to see your optimologist or adjust your monitor)

Ultimate Spider-Man Ultimate Spider-Man#97-117 featuring "The Clone Saga" and "Ultimate Knights" also marking Bendis and Bagley as the longest running collaboration in a comic book title. Kudos to the team and hope to see Stuart Immonen continue the legacy in Bagley's footsteps.

dance Not everybody may agree, but for me Spider-Man 3 was one of the best and biggest superhero movies this year and was a well-deserved and thrilling swan song for the epic Spider-Man movie trilogy. Who knows? Maybe more is to come for our web-headed hero in the big screen.

chowder! Primiere of the hilarious new cartoon, Chowder, created by C.H. Greenblat himself (responsible for faves such as the Grim Adventures) hopes to hold some laughs for many more episodes. Excitement!

Lastly, to the many friends both old and new I met this year here in TV.com or in Gamespot.com. Without you guys, things here online wouldn't be as fun. I know I haven't been online lately these past couple of days, but let me just take the time to say that I'm still rooting for you guys.

An awesome year and I hope that the next year of 2008 would be even more awesome. Only time will tell and last I checked, it's only a few more days until the New Year. Like it says on the title:

Peace out 2007!!!

Crawling Disposition: Chapter 1

Sometimes I just can't shake the feeling...that all these strange things that are happening, are somehow part of something much more.

~Growing up on the lowly parts of New York City, Eric didn't mind the absence of his existence to the rest of the ever growing world. Living all by himself on a regular apartment after his parents passed, he's accustomed to the lone atmosphere. Calm, care-free, an underlie expectation, and a happy-go-lucky attitude. He eventually grew to accept that his life will be nothing more than barely a footnote in the phonebook's directory.

Unbeknownst to him, he was part of something greater.

"CRAWLING DISPOSITION"
CHAPTER 1

"Hey Eric, are you awake yet?" a young brunette asked with some volume as she knocked on an apartment door with the #313 on it. There was no reply so she knocked again, her casual attire addressed in the typical late morning of New York. A simple pale yellow scarf over her fitting black coat, a matching pair of black boots masked under her not to scantily green skirt, her hair in a neat ponytail while her bangs compliment her deep green eyes.

There was still no reply. She sighed to herself and knocked one final time. "C'mon Eric, don't tell me last night's party got to you a little bit too much."

Faint footsteps then sounded from inside the apartment room. The thudding noise seem like someone's heavy feet was plundering step by step as it was making its way to the front door. The large steps stopped, and a clicking noise to the doorknob being unlocked followed.

The door eased slightly, opening ajar to reveal a humble face. An ordinary young man, his brown hair parting on his eyes, and notably he gave a tiresome yawn. "Geez Michelle, did you have to knock so loud?" he remarked with a soft yet somewhat sarcastic voice.

"Oh my God look at you, how much did you drink last night?" the brunette asked concerning. He let her inside hospitably. The apartment wasn't much to look at, the average look of a rebellious young adult who just got out of college. Michelle didn't really mind, it wasn't like hers next door was any better. "Seriously, what happened in the bar after I left you with the others?"

"I'm not really sure. I guess I was out of it." Eric replied scratching the back of his neck. He himself noticed that he was still in his usual outdoor wear. His plaid blue shirt unevenly wrinkled all over along with his partly dusty pants.

Michelle took a seat by his bed, unruly and a complete mess. She was planning to invite the brown-haired boy for a little breakfast out in the town like they always do every Saturday, but after seeing his overwhelming condition. I guess it was out of the question.

"You know what the weird thing is?" Eric said as he made his way to his bathroom. He twisted the faucet knob and allowed the water to fluster in the sink. He cupped his hands and splashed a cold breeze on his face to maybe ease his morning jitter.

"What?" the brunette asked.

"I don't even remember coming back to my apartment." He said, taking a clean towel to wipe his dripping face. Not minding his current outlook, he neglected the idea of bothering to change since he was already set.

"Hmm...maybe you were just too drunk." Michelle poked with a humble giggle.

"Well, I know that!" Eric replied with the same optimistic sarcasm. But his expression still reverted to that of confusion, like a jumble puzzle is in his head that he can't entirely solve. "Strange thing is I could've sworn I left my keys in here last night." He walked over to his nightstand, and the aforementioned keys were in fact there, bundle together by his familiar key chain.

"Then how'd you manage to get in?" she asked with a raised brow herself, starting to join him in the strange phenomenon transpiring.

Eric then noticed his side window. It was fully open, the drapes flowing under the breeze of the New York morning. "I...don't...know." He remarked cryptically as he paced over there. The cold wind was ever present as it pressed against his face. He stuck his head out and peered below. It was a steep drive, no catwalks or anything, just a plain wall descending downward from the third floor at his apartment.

He leaned back inside before closing the window shut. "Hey...uh...still up for breakfast?" he then suggested.

"Are you sure you're going to be ok? I mean if you really don't want to, it's fine. You could use the rest." Michelle asked as she got up from her seat on his bed, starting to hand out concern for her troubled friend.

"No, it's cool. C'mon, maybe I'm just hungry." He replied with a smile, making a reach for his dark blue jacket hanging conveniently by his front door. Michelle followed him as they both headed out the door, she was still concern for his condition, but likewise a good breakfast may be all that he needed.

Life as a Criminal...

As of today, Drew is now an official vigilante running on the opposite side of the law in The Virtual City. Don't ask me, see the flyers the officers in that union posted all over the place:
