The list is already topped by Gamespot but it might be able to be fit in somewhere.

[QUOTE="mikebinstock"]I AM new a newbie. I know i am not "green" but I have A LOOOOONG way to go. My question is how in the heck am I suppose to aim quickly with my weapons and actually get a kill? I have the attachment for my melee knife/pistol deal and I do okay with that on the scarp yard getting 10 min kills... I know these numbers are not great but If i could figure out how to hit people that I know I have the jump on I would be getting 15 kills a round with the gun and maybe 20 with the knife. My problem is with the gun, I can't hit **** with the knife I either go too quick, Miss, or too late. I have no clue and I am at the point now (level 70) that I know I should be better so here I am hoping for some advice. The type of player I am is one that moves around quietly picking people off. I DO NOT run and gun due to my poor aiming and I don't like it as part of the game. I find it boring to run to a spot, look shoot, move to the next before the score comes up, rinse repeat... *yawn*. I defend care packages, defend flags, and do what I can to support the team. That is my biggest contribution, I will stick near a flag and defend it to the end. Should I set my sensitivity on my controller higher? Practice more? The Guns I use are: ACR, Barrett, Ump45, Scar-H, M16a... On each I have aim help whether it is slight of hand or steady aim pro.. Do i need to fire first then bring up the sights or should I bring the sites up and find the target then fire? Any tips or help would be appreciated, I need to move to the next level of play and if I could hit things I would be there. Mike p.s. Tooobers don't bug nor do campers... but when campers and run and gunners are on the same team that makes for a long match.

The problem is you are playing Modern Warfare 2. It is a terrible shooter with broken mechanics, a terrible matchmaking system, and many glitches and bugs. You are forced to camp due to the extremely and unreasonably high damage caused by the guns. To do consistently well, you have to camp thus MW2 is not a good or fun game. My advice, play a real shooter like Killzone 2 or Resistance 2. Both are much better games then the junk called Modern Warfare 2. I got bored after 19 hours. If you are looking for a "realistic" style shooter, go and get Battlefield Bad Company 2. That is a true shooter and is one of the defining games of this generation.

[QUOTE="DropTarget"][QUOTE="jw7103"]you don't need psn to download an update, when you update ps3 with new firmware it logs you out of psn before starting. as you can still access the internet with ps3 most have it connected to folding@home (i'm playing lma '06 on mine), this is how you update it, or download via pc and transfer via usbPoisoN_Facecam0
I do not have a PC. When I was told the PS3 had a "functioning" web browser, I threw it away. Looks like I'm in a pickle.

just because you consider a PC and a "functioning" web browser the same thing isn't our or sony's problem...and whats this pickle you speak of??

Take a cucumber and put it in a brine solution then wait. After a while you get a pickle. And you say I have problems, you don't even know what a pickle is.

What games are you guys playing since this happened? I guess you can only play non trophy games, right?Goldglove
I refuse to touch my PS3 until this ordeal is resolved. I will not support Sony when they are in a time of epic failure.

[QUOTE="LeftCatcher"][QUOTE="StabbytheStick"]ok listen every one of us is on the internet, and the playstation still does that, but what makes this so simple is the fact that you don't have to use PSN to do a system update, the clock in the system is what is wrong, all you would have to do is post a small system update that would change the clock settings to the same as the ones in the slim, BAM!!!! super quick fixStabbytheStick
and you don't think that the mid day shift in japan would have posted this "quick and easy fix" moments after the net blew up w/ "WTF! FML! PSN SUX! oh man.... :("

well i spent all night being pissed off to really think about it, you never know pressure and people freaking out might throw them off a bit

Does it really make you angry to be without videogames for a few hours? If so, that is pretty sad.

Are you serious? You really think that is a revolutionary idea? People have been saying that since the first few minutes of this ordeal. I am pretty sure that the engineers/technicians at Sony are able to figure out that simple idea. For posting such irrelevant information, you are now labeled as a troll. Be gone.

For those stressed about their little "trophies" and can't log in to PSN through PS3....... Your on a computer right now (correct?) If so just go to PSN (from your computer) and sign in and you will see they are still ALL there right where you left them last time you were on PSN. I suggest chill........... (mark my words and this will fix itself March 2nd if it's just a "Leap-Year glitch" as some are calling it) or panic and hurry up and list it on craigslist... lol Pdxmotoxer
I don't think too many people are worried about their trophies. I am worried about my $400 system, that now cannot play several games that I paid $60 for. I left this last night thinking it would be fixed in the morning, but now I am slightly more aggravated with the whole situation. We better get some form of compensation for this whole ordeal.
