So I guess DirectX 10.1 and 11 are really different. I thought they were alike or about the same. Well are you saying that there is no difference at all? So why did they make 10.1 is it's no different from 10.0? Are you sure there is not difference in the two? So forsure that 10.1 is not like 11?

Well the Intel HD graphics card is playable since I do play games like SC2 and Crysis 2 and beat the game many times. It may not be the worlds best performing card but it's actualy pretty good. Someone said that having DirectX 10.1 gives 30% more performance on games. But I just wanted to know if really it would make a difference when having a video card that is 10.1. I have a Sony notebook I got last year and I do play games like Quake 4, Doom 3, The Sims 2 and 3, Crysis 2, SC2.

Why I am asking is since my Intel HD video card on my notebook has DirectX 10.1 now. It use to have 10.0 but since I updated the drivers from Intel it now has 10.1. But are you saying Crysis uses DirectX 10.1? I just wanted to see the difference now that I have 10.1 and compair it to what I use to have. I thought the Crysis 2 would use 10.1 also. But I dont' know. I been using 10.0 for a long time and wanted to see the difference now that I have 10.1.

How do I save the game so when I install the same game on a different computer my matches I cleared will be saved in Single Player? I can only think the q3config.cfg is what I need to save but maybe there is something different I need to save. Thanks

Quake 4 was my all time favorite game and I use to play it for hours back around 2007. But then I was not able to play for a while since I had to sell my tower to get some money but then I only had my old Sony notebook I got around 2002 and Quake 4 didn't run it crashed at launch since it was too slow. But I wanted to try a game called Doom 3 since I heard that Quake 4 uses the engine of Doom 3 so I tried and and it was a cool game but was not like Quake 4. But finaly around 2010 I got a new Sony notebook as a gift and it's alot faster and better since it has the Intel i3 2.4 gHz processor unlike the Pentium 3 M 1.2 gHz I use to have so it ran Quake 4 and Doom 3 in Ultra settings and has around 40 fps or 60 fps in some areas so it's great. I guess I would say Quake 4 is probley better overall but Doom 3 isnt bad. I say Doom 3 is good for older machines and if you machine is fast then Quake 4 will be better. I have also have a new Toshiba netbook NB505-N500BL D3 I got recently and I tried Quake 4 and it was kinda laggy like had 10 fps or 5fps in some areas. But Doom 3 plays much better like 20 fps or 25fps in big battles then low as 15 fps. My netbook has 2 Gb of ram so that did help alot on Doom 3. Basicly the video card on my netbook has the Intel X3100 GPU but only has 2 pipelines and directX 9.0c and Shader 3.0. So it's not good as the Intel X3100 that has 8 pipelines and DirectX 10 and Shader 4.0. With the latest drivers for the Intel 3150 for my netbook is has T&L. Driver version 8.14.10.2230. I was supprised I was able to play Doom 3 alot better than my old Sony notebook but thats because the video card is alot better than the Intel 82830M. But my point is that both are great games and if you have a nice system then play Quake 4 but if your system is older then play Doom 3. There is a difference on the performance on the two games when you play them on a older system.

I know this has to do with the GraphicsRules.sgr file but I have a netbook and the best res for it is 1024x600. Now when I play this game it seems like it's not adjusted to fit the screen right since some things are too big and goes over the screen. I remember that someone told me that on The Sims 2 game that changing the res on the GraphicsRules.sgr file will make it fit to my screens and it did work. But there must be a way to do the same thing on The Sims 3 game also and I see a file called GraphicsRules.sgr on the game folder but I can't really find where to change the res so it will always display the game at 1024x600. Maybe for The Sims 3 game they have settings changed differently than The Sims 2 game but all I know if for The Sims 2 game changing certain things on the GraphicsRule.sgr file like if max res for the game is 1600x1200 change it to 1024x600 makes it so you can set the res to what your screen is for the highest. I know for The Sims 2 game on my notebook that has a bigger screen I have it set to 1366x768 since that's the right res to fit my screen. I did the same was on my netbook for the same game and just instead of putting 1366x768 I put 1024x600 so it will fit right for my netbook. I just want to be able to set the right res for my netbook so it will show the screen right and objects don't look too fat or skinny etc.
