Well the best price that I could get was around $600 at most so I can't get a $800 machine. But The Toshiba one was around $500 on sale so it was $80 cheaper but I heard alot of comments saying that Toshiba one gets hot and have alot of problems in the future like around 4 years from now so that's why I got the Sonys that I hear will last around 6 years or more. Like my old Sonys still works even it's almost 9 years old. I got it right when Windows XP came out.
Well basicly I had to choose from the Toshiba notebook or the Sony and I decided to get the Sonys since I hear that Toshiba ones gets hardware problems after 4 years and Sony notebooks last very long time. I need a notebook that will last since I can't afford in buying a new one. The Toshiba one has a triple core AMD type processor and had the ATI Radeon 4250 video chip and I thought that was better for games but I decided to go with the more expensive one that was the Sonys since people are saying Sony machines last a long time without problem. I guess I' am saying that Toshiba notebooks has problem I hear from people and they say to not buy it.
Well it's better to be able to play the game at lowest settings then not being able to play at higher settings. I mean I was using a notebook that was 9 years old and it still works. I got this new Sony notebook as a gift and it's 100 times better than my old Sony notebook. I can't afford to buy any computers and I was lucky to get this new one. Plus it wasn't like the cheapest one out there today you know. I seen notebook that are $350 but mine was normaly around $700 so I am lucky. I thought somehow this notebook will play all games today but just at least on lowest settings.
Ok so it will play Turok and those other games I was talking about. But what games today can this notebook play? Is there any that can play in lowest settings? If there isn't any what is the last year of games that were made that can play on this machine? Like example all of 2008 games. Well if StarCraft 2 plays then that is todays games but I heard some people say that StarCraft 2 doesn't use much graphics though. But I was wondering in general can this notebook play any other todays games on the lowest settings?
How about Turok, StarCraft 2 or The Sims 3? I seen people play StarCraft 2 on an older Intel video chip so I think mine would work right? I don't know if Turok will play though or even Unreal Tournament 3.
So even this computer is brand new it won't play all todays games even at low settings? I thought this Sony would play it since it has a good CPU. It's an Intel i3 2.4 Ghz with 4 GB ram and can go upto 8 GB. I just got this PC yesterday at OfficeMax localy. What games can it play at low settings for todays games? just wondering.
Well other people on different forums said that it won't run on this Sony notebook since it has a Intel HD graphics chip. But I guess they were wrong and I can play these games. I thought it was strange that todays computers won't be able to run old games like Quake 4. I mean this machine normaly costs $700 today but I got it on sale for $580 so it was a great deal.
Has anyone played Quake 4 or Doom 3 on notebooks that has a Intel HD type of video chip? I know that it can share upto 1.6GB or ram from system. The Intel HD I' am talking about is the latest one not the 4500MHD. I just recently got a new Sony VPC-EB3QFX/WI and I was wondering if it will somehow play those games. It has a Intel i3 2.4 gHz processor with 4GB of DDR3 ram and can go upto 8GB. I have Windows 7 Home 64 bit.
