Nexus vs. Team WWE ****1/4

I enjoyed the whole Nexus vs. WWE story through out the entire show with the Nexus attack in the opener to the Miz promo, and the return of Daniel Bryan. The Undertaker's return wasn't the best but it wasn't bad. This was a fun show to watch in my opinion.

My UFC 117 Live Experience

I arrived at the Oracle Arena around 3pm, the doors opened about 20 minutes later and the prelims started at 4:20 pm. The prelims were pretty good overall as there were some impressive performances by Phil Davis & Rick "The Horror" Story. Denis Hallman won the first fight of the night against Ben Saunders via decision as he took down Saunders and controlled the fight. Saunders got some good shots in but it wasn't enough. Stephan Struve vs. Christian Morecraft was a great fight as Morecraft won the first round easily and then early in the second round Struve won via TKO, everybody went nuts as Struve made the comeback. Johny Hendricks vs. Charlie Brenneman was an exciting fight as well. Brenneman looked really impressive in the first round as he hit Hendricks with some good shots and he landed a takedown as well but early in round two Hendricks stopped Brenneman with strikes as Brenneman stumbled all across the octagon before the ref ended the fight. Before the main card started they showed a 5 minute or so tribute video which was very good. If you haven't seen it look it up on youtube as this only airs in the arena before the show goes live on pay-per-view

Now onto the main card which was unbelievable. The opening to the main card was epic live as it pumped up everybody in attendance. First fight of the main card was Junior Dos Santos vs. Roy "Big Country" Nelson. This was a really exciting fight as the fans were enthralled at the amount of punishment Nelson could take as Dos Santos teed off on him for three rounds. I was on the edge of my seat as I'm a huge Dos Santos fan. There was several times that I thought Dos Santos would finish Nelson. Nothing but respect for Nelson for standing in there for three rounds. Dos Santos got the decision 30-27, 30-27, and 30-26. There was no doubt on who won but it was still a great fight. Dos Santos is next in line for a shot at the Heavyweight Title following Lesnar vs. Velázquez.

Next up was Matt Hughes vs. Ricardo Almeida. In my opinion there is no doubt that Matt Hughes is the best Welterweight in the world and is the best fighter to every step foot inside the UFC. When Hughes came out it was something to behold as everybody showed their respect for Hughes. The fight began with Almeida looking good on his feet. The first three minutes of the fight was mostly Almeida getting the better of the stand up but then Hughes clipped him with a hook and Almeida stumbled back and fell to the canvas. Hughes then locked up a choke and Almeida went to sleep. Unbelievable, everybody in the building was shocked. Amazing victory for the legendary Matt Hughes.

Clay Guida then locked horns with the dangerous Rafael Dos Anjos. Guida is one of the most exciting fighters in the UFC and in return the fans give him nothing but love. This was another good fight as these two battled into the third and final round. Guida got a big takedown on Dos Anjos and then Dos Anjos tapped!?!? I had no idea what happened but Joe Rogan explained in the post fight interview that Clay had broke Dos Anjos' jaw and he just put pressure on his jaw and Dos Anjos tapped. Got to give it for Dos Anjos for fighting with a broken jaw but it was great to see Guida earn the victory.

The Co-Main event of the night followed as Thiago Alves face Jon Fitch in a rematch four years in the making. Dana White had stated that the winner of this fight would be next in line for a Welterweight Title Fight. Fitch got a huge ovation from the Bay Area fans as he fights out of San Jose, CA. Fitch won the first fight and he dominated this one as well as he kept on taking down Thiago Alves. Thiago couldn't get anything going as Fitch dominated bell to bell. Fitch got the decision 30-27 all across the judges score cards. I'm a fan of Jon Fitch and it's good to see him get another title shot. There was a Fitch fan near me and behind him was two Brazilians, they had a "friendly" debate about this fight.

Next up was the Main Event of the evening as the reigning, defending UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson "The Spider" Silva vs. Chael Sonnen. Chael hyped this fight like no other and when I first heard that they were going to fight months ago I thought it would be a good fight with Anderson getting a victory via triangle choke in the second round and he would move on to fight Vitor Belfort which is the fight I really want to see. But as this fight got closer I got pumped into seeing this fight and could careless about Silva vs. Belfort. The entrances were EPIC Chael came out with 90% of the fans booing. I for one was cheering and when Anderson came out the fans made it known that they were behind him. I was looking into the octagon while Silva was coming out and Chael Sonnen walked out to the center of the cage twice and motioned to Anderson to hurry up and bring it. Bruce Buffers introductions of the fights brought chills and the opening bell rung. EVERYBODY was standing for the entire fight not a soul in the building was looking anywhere else but into the octagon. Chael went straight to Anderson and clipped him a minute into the first round and then got a huge takedown and controlled the first round. Nobody expected that to happen at all round 1 to Chael. Nothing changed in round 2 and 3 as Chael won them easily as well. In the begging of the 4th round it looked like Anderson was ready to bring it to Chael and hit him with an elbow that stumbled him but Chael recovered and won the round once again. Entering the fifth and final round everybody was stunned. Chael had a pretty bad cut over his eye. The 5th round started and they exchanged for a while then it looked like Anderson slipped and Chael capitalized and got top positioned once again. Everybody thought the fight was over as they looked up to see how much time was left before Chael was going to win the fight and more importantly the belt. Two minutes were left in the fight and people were getting worked up and then OUT OF NOWHERE Silva locked up a TRIANGLE CHOKE and then SONNEN TAPPED OUT!!!!!!! Everybody was shocked as they couldn't believe what they saw. They showed a replay as many fans were confused, Sonnen tapped out clearly. Looked like it was the pressure on the arm not the triangle which made Sonnen tapped. After the fight it was great to see the guys embrace.

HOLY SH*T what a show. It was the best event that I've ever been to without a doubt. I've been a fan of MMA for 6 years or so and I couldn't ask for a better show to go to for my first ever live experience. My favorite fight of the night was a tie between Sonnen vs. Silva and Dos Santos vs. Nelson. The night had great submission victories and impressive KO/TKO's. Just a fantastic show not one bad fight on the entire card and many great fights through out.

PWG DDT and TNA Victory Road 2010 Reviews

Excalibur welcomes us to the show and he runs down the list of tag teams competing tonight.

1. Opening Round Match: LTP & Johnny Goodtime vs. The Young Bucks (C). This was a great way to open up the show. To start out the match the Young Bucks hit their opponents with the tag team belts. The Bucks used heel tactics through out the match and the fans were behind LTP & Goodtime through out. These two teams went spot for spot until the Young Bucks won after they hit LTP with multiple Superkicks. ***1/2

2. Opening Round Match: Paul London & El Generico vs. Scott Lost & Chuck Taylor. Paul London came out with a Poncho and a Mega Phone. Lost & Taylor had the advantage early on. Then London & Generico made their comeback. Through out the match London was talking smack on the Mega Phone and he set an alarm off with it. All hell broke lose at the end of the match but it was London & Generico getting the win after Generico hit Lost with a Brainbuster and London hit Taylor with a Shooting Star Press. ***

3. Opening Round Match: The Cutler Brothers vs. Roderick Strong & Ryan Taylor. This was a decent match I couldn't get into it. Ryan Taylor was in for majority of the match and I could careless about him. The commentary was very good in this match which kept my interest in the match. The Cutlers got the win after they hit Ryan Taylor with the Spike Tombstone. **1/4

4. Opening Round Match: The Briscoe Brothers vs. YAMATO & Akira Tozawa. I enjoyed YAMATO & Tozawa as they stood out from the rest of the teams. During the match Tozawa got pants by a Briscoe. These two teams went back and fourth as things got interesting at the end. The Briscoe Brothers won after they hit Tozawa with the Doomsday Device. ***1/4

5. Semi-Final Match: The Young Bucks (C) vs. The Cutler Brothers. Before the action started the Bucks taunted a fan in the front row and majority of the people were behind the Cutlers. This match started out with the Bucks in control but the Cutlers came back and the match broke down as these teams went back and fourth and it looked like the Cutlers were on the verge of winning after they hit the Spike Tombstone but the pin was broken up. The Young Bucks managed to hold on for the victory as they hit the More Bang for Your Buck. ***3/4

6. Semi-Final Match: El Generico & Paul London vs. The Briscoe Brothers. This was a hard hitting match and I was somewhat disappointed by this match. This should have been better. Nothing much to say about this match. The end came when the Briscoe's were going for the Doomsday Device on El Generico but Generico ducked and rolled up Jay Briscoe for the win. **3/4

7. Chris Hero vs. Brandon Bonham. This is the only singles match of the night and it's good to see Chris Hero wrestle on a PWG show. These two went hold for hold, chop for chop, and kick for kick. Hero got the win after he hit Bonham with an elbow and the Hero's Welcome. ***1/2

8. DDT4 2010 Final Match: The Young Bucks (C) vs. El Generico & Paul London. Not much of a surprise that these two made the finals. This was your typical heel Young Bucks match. The Young Bucks wanted to walk out but the ref wouldn't allow it. Then they tried to get DQed but that didn't work. The Young Bucks hit Generico with the More Bang for Your Buck but he kicked out. El Generico hit Nick Jackson with a top turnbuckle Brainbuster. ****1/4

Don't get me wrong this is a good and enjoyable show but last years show was way better and I had higher expectations for this show. The finals were great but you could skip the rest of the show. I think the lack of Richards hurt the show as well. I feel the depth of teams could have been greater as well. I could rate this lower but I won't.

ROH Review, PWG Star Ratings, & UFC 116 Predictions

1. 10 Minute Hunt Match: Eddie Edwards vs. Bobby Dempsey. If Bobby Dempsey last 10 minutes he will get a future ROH TV Title Match. For what this match was it was fun. The fans were into Dempsey. Bobby got in some offense in but in the end Eddie Edwards got the win after he locked in an Achilles Lock and Dempsey tapped out. Dempsey last 7 minutes in this match. After the match Edwards stated that the hunt is on for Christopher Daniels. **

2. Jay Briscoe vs. Claudio Castagnoli. This was a good match as these two went back and fourth. Hagadorn and Del Rey got involved during the match. Claudio worked on Jay's midsection. Claudio got Jay in the Torture Rack position and started spinning him around but Jay slipped off and rolled Claudio up for the three. **3/4

After the match Chris Hero came out and attacked Jay Briscoe with Claudio. Mark came running out to make the save which set up…

3. Mark Briscoe vs. Chris Hero. This was a good match and I enjoyed it quite a bit. Hero controlled most of the match but Mark made his comeback but he fell short in the end. Mark ran into the corner and Hero hit him with the loaded elbow pad. Hero then hit him with a kick to his head followed up by another shot with the loaded elbow pad. Mark sold the elbow really well. After the match Jay Briscoe chased Hero off and he called out the KOW saying that he and Mark will win the titles back. ***1/4

4. Pick Six Challenge Match: Roderick Strong #1 vs. Erick Stevens. First off I think it's stupid that this is a Pick Six match since there is no way that Erick Stevens is going to become #1 in the Pick Six. Strong also has a match for the ROH World Title against Tyler Black at Supercard of Honor V which is the next night. These two have had several great matches against each other in years past. This was a good match as these two works well with each other and I think that it's impossible for these guys to have a sub par match. Strong got the win after he hit Stevens with a boot to the face. ***1/2

5. Pick Six Challenge Match: Kenny King #5 vs. Colt Cabana. You had the fun loving Colt Cabana in this match as he played up to the fans. This was a fun match to start out with but King changed things as he took control in the match. These two battled until Kevin Steen came out and attacked Colt Cabana causing a No Contest. ***

6. Pick Six Challenge Match: Kevin Steen #2 vs. Christopher Daniels. This was another good match. Steen worked on Daniels arm throughout the match and there was a ref bump which allowed Steen to grab a chair but Cabana came out. The ref got up and sent Cabana to the back. Steen was distracted by Cabana and then Daniels set him up and hit Steen with the BME. ***1/4

7. Tyler Black & Delirious vs. Austin Aries & Rhett Titus. This was a good match. I don't know about main event but it was good. Aries avoided Delirious through out the match. Delirious and Tyler Black got the win after Delirious hit Titus with Shadows Over Hell, followed up by a super kick by Black, and a Bizarro Driver by Delirious.

There is nothing bad on this show but there is nothing great on it either which makes it hard to recommend but it is a great way to lead into Supercard of Honor V. I would skip this show though and just by Supercard of Honor V.

Overall Score: 6.75/10

PWG Titanica: Davey Richards vs. Roderick Strong ****1/4

PWG Titanica: The Briscoe Brothers vs. The Young Bucks (Generation Me) ****1/4

UFC 116 Predictions:

Brock Lesnar over Shane Carwin via TKO (I'm torn I think that this fight is 50/50)

Middleweight bout: Yoshihiro Akiyama over Chris Leben via Decesion

Welterweight bout: Chris Lytle via Matt Brown Submission

Light Heavyweight bout: Krzysztof Soszynski over Stephan Bonnar via Decesion

Lightweight bout: George Sotiropoulos over Kurt Pellegrino via Decesion

This is not how I'm going to do predictions all the time I will have more detail ones. I just don't have the time to do it for this show.

PWG As The Worm Turns And ROH Bitter Friends Stiffer Enemies II Thoughts

PWG As the Worm Turns: Alex Shelley vs. Chris Hero. This was a good match as these two went hold for hold. Shelley had a back injury but he still looked very good in this match. Hero got the win after he hit him with a rolling elbow and the Hero's Welcome. Chris Hero is one of my favorite wrestlers and I think that he in underrated by many. This is why I can't stand TNA. Shelley and Sabin had pretty good matches on this show but instead of seeing these two guys in the ring for 15-20 on pay-per-view we get Abyss. ***1/2

PWG As the Worm Turns: Chris Sabin vs. Roderick Strong. Another very good match Strong keeps on getting better in my opinion and Sabin is a great wrestler as well. This match could have been like the Hero vs. Shelley match but it was different. Strong got the win after he hit Sabin with a vicious kick to the face. ***3/4

PWG As the Worm Turns: PWG Tag Title Match Young Bucks (Generation Me) (C) vs. Two Skinny Black Guys of Low Moral Fiber. The Young Bucks are a great team but as their title reign come to an end I feel like I've seen these matches too many times. Don't get me wrong they are exciting and entertaining but its time for a change. The Bucks got the win after they hit the More Bang for Your Buck. ***3/4

PWG As the Worm Turns: PWG World Title Match Kenny Omega (C) vs. Davey Richards. This was a great match up as these two men work really well with each other. I saw this match before their Epic Encounter III match which was a factor for the rating. The two matches are the same for the most part a little bit is different. They are both great but if you want to watch them wrestle each other pick up ONE of the shows. I won't ruin the ending for anybody interested/doesn't know how the match ended and who won. ****1/2

ROH Bitter Friends Stiffer Enemies II: Davey Richards vs. Roderick Strong. This was a great match as Strong and Richards manage to always put on great matches when they face off. The match was going along fine until Richards went for his dive into the crowd but his back hit the guardrail and he ended up in the seventh row or so. My jaw dropped. These two fought until the bell rung signaling a 20 minute time limit draw. ****1/4

ROH Bitter Friends Stiffer Enemies II: ROH World Title Match: Tyler Black (C) vs. Chris Hero. This was a great match as they made Hero look like he had a legit chance of winning the match. I don't understand the Tyler hate. He is one of my favorite wrestlers along side Chris Hero and he has been putting on great matches lately. He got the win here after he hit Hero with God's Last Gift. ****

ROH Bitter Friends Stiffer Enemies II: Colt Cabana & El Generico vs. Steve Corino & Kevin Steen. I've seen people calling this match great and you have to see it. I won't go that far at all. I've seen this type of match too many times. ROH used to put on these types of matches every show it seemed in 07-08. There was crowd brawling, a couple of chair spots, blood (this match had a bunch though), and an ending spot to top things off. You may like it more but for me it's like Abyss hardcore matches. They are cool when you first see them but after a while they get old. ***1/2-***3/4

If you want a show that is easy to watch and has good to great matches through out then get PWG As The Worm Turns. If you want a show that is more storyline based then get ROH Bitter Friends Stiffer Enemies II.

WWE Fatal Four Way 2010 Review

1. Intercontinental Title Match: Kofi Kingston (C) vs. Drew McIntyre ***

2. Diva's Title Match: Gail Kim vs. Marsye vs. Eve (C) vs. Alicia Fox *1/2

3. Evan Bourne vs. Chris Jericho ***1/2

4. World Heavyweight Title Match: Big Show vs. C.M. Punk vs. Rey Mysterio vs. Jack Swagger ***1/4

6. The Usos vs. The Hart Dynasty **

7. WWE Title Match: Sheamus vs. Edge vs. Randy Orton vs. John Cena. ***

Overall Score 6.5/10

This wasn't a bad show nor was it a show that you have to see. Nothing on this show is match of the year status but there wasn't anything that was horrible. The Fatal Four way matches were good but something about the endings I didn't like. Bourne vs. Jericho was MOTN. If you want to see the show, go for it but don't expect to see a great show.

My Thoughts on the A-Team Movie plus update on this blog.

This movie is great I loved the story, action, and the bit of comedy the movie had. I've been running around for a month now and it was great to relax and watch a movie. I've been waiting to see this movie for months. I've a huge fan of MMA and one of my favorite fighters is Quinton "Rampage" Jackson. Rampage played the role of BA Baracus and I really enjoyed his character in the movie. This movie had my hooked from start to finish and I had no idea how the movie was going to end until the credit appeared.

This movie isn't for anyone but I loved it. The A-Team gets an A.

I haven't been watching wrestling lately as I just finished my last month of high school and I just got back from vacation. I am really digging the NXT angle. I haven't been watching ROH at all. I don't feel like paying $20 for a DVD, and I haven't been able to watch PWG either. TNA has been decent I didn't watch Slammiversary. The show had nothing on it to make me want to watch. I could careless about Abyss, No KOTM=bad, RVD vs. Sting didn't catch my interesting and the rest was eh.

I'm going to start doing MMA predictions and thoughts of the show. I'm going to UFC 117 in Oakland and I'm going to review that show. As for wrestling I'm going to post pay-per-view reviews starting with Fatal Four Way. If you guys want predictions I can do that as well. I may start posting my thoughts of each week of wrestling from Raw, NXT, Impact, and Smackdown.

If you guys have any ideas share them below.

WWE Over The Limit 2010 Review

1. Intercontential Title Match: Kofi Kingston vs. Drew McIntyre (C). This was a good match as Kofi Kingston beat Drew to become the new champion. Thought that McIntyre was going to win but I have problem with Kofi winning. Kofi hit Drew with the S.O.S after he reversed the Future Shock DDT. After the match Drew got on the mic and Matt Hardy came out and hit Drew with the Twist of Fate. **3/4

2. R-Truth vs. Ted DiBiase w/Virgil. This was decent; this was a back and fourth match. Both guys looked good. The match got sloppy towards the end. Virgil got involved in the match as he distracted R-Truth. R-Truth got the win after he hit Ted with a spinning elbow. **

3. C.M. Punk vs. Rey Mysterio. If Punk wins Mysterio must join the S.E.S. if Mysterio wins Punk must shave his head. Early on in the match Punk got busted open. Punk sent Mysterio into the barber's chair as it was ringside. There was a pretty lengthy break in the match as they worked on Punk's cut. Mysterio sold on the floor for the entire time. Punk then got up and tossed Mysterio around. These two then exchanged until the very end. Mysterio hit Punk with the 619 he went for the splash but missed. Mysterio then rolled Punk up for the win. The S.E.S. came out and attacked Rey. Kane then came out and cleaned house. Mysterio handcuffed Punk and he saved his head. The match was very good and the head shaving was really entertaining. I'm a huge C.M. Punk fan it's going to be interesting in what they are going to do with Punk next. The rating reflects the match plus the head shaving. ***3/4

4. Unified Tag Team Title Match: The Hart Dynasty (C) vs. Miz & Jericho. I guess the Miz and Jericho aren't a legit tag team yet as they don't have their theme songs mixed instead they came out to their own songs one at time. This was a great match I enjoyed this a lot. I don't care if you didn't like it if you think I'm overrating this match then that's your problem. There were many near falls and I had no idea who was going to take it until the end. It seemed that the match could have ended a couple of times. The Hart Dynasty won after they hit the Miz with the Hart Attack. ****

5. Edge vs. Randy Orton. This match was going along fine until Orton was hitting the mat as he was setting Edge up for the RKO. Orton looked like he hurt his arm legit and they counted both guys out to end the match. I'm not going to rate this. N/R

6.World Heavyweight Title Match: Jack Swagger (C) vs. The Big Show. The WWE has done a good job building this up. When they announced it I could careless about it but I'm interested in seeing what happens. This match was short and the ending was what it was. Swagger got DQed after he hit Show with the title. Swagger then hit Show with a chair but The Big Show hit Swagger with two chokeslams, one of which on a chair. ½*

7. Diva's Championship: Maryse vs. Eve (C). This match didn't help things out it made it worse. This match was worse then Show vs. Swagger. PLEASE NO MORE DIVAS. Eve won if you care. ¼*

8. I Quit Match for the WWE Title: John Cena (C) vs. Batista. These two guy attempted submissions early on. Batista power slammed Cena through the Spanish announce table and Cena starting bleeding. They then took the match into the stands. Batista tried to Batista Bomb Cena to the floor but Cena sent Batista crashing down onto security. Batista tried to hit Cena with a car. Cena hit the Attitude Adjustment ontop of the car. Cena then was going to hit the Attitude Adjustment for the hood of the car to the stage. Batista said "I Quit" and Cena pause and sent him through the stage for the win. Ending was stupid match had some nice spots nothing special. As the show was closing Sheamus hit Cena with a boot so I'm assuming its going to be Sheamus vs. Cena at the next pay-per-view. ***

This was a really bad show outside of Punk/Mysterio & Tag Title Match.

The show should have been "WWE Under The Limit"

Overall Score: 5/10
