The truth? After hearing all of this news, people run to Microsoft or Nintendo for comfort when, in reality, their systems are likely just as vulnerable. There is a real possibility (and I am convinced) that this was an attack against Sony, not just to steal information, but to take them down. If it had been "OpMicrosoft/Nintendo" we would see everyone flocking to Sony and Microsoft/Nintendo (whichever wasn't affected) assuming they are safe with them. I can see both Microsoft and Nintendo double checking their systems now, praising "the lord" they weren't the ones who were hacked. How can you know with certainty that this COULDN'T happen to Microsoft or Nintendo? Or even that if it had, they would have done things differently? You don't. So, presuming this article would have been written in response to any of these companies, I'm sorry Magrino, but you are in the wrong business. If these are the kinds of people Gamespot employs, I'm afraid I cannot remain a funding member. This article is the most one-sided bull crap I've seen in a long time. The lack of perspective from a professional writer is absolutely appauling. (and don't think I wouldn't have posted this if it WAS Microsoft or Nintendo, just because what Sony did was "bad" doesn't make Microsoft or Nintendo "good", yet amazingly enough, people will think that)
