If you look at each console without mentioning the games the PS3 is the best one. It is the only system that plays HD Bluray games and movies, has both WiFi and CAT 5 Ethernet connections, comes with charge and play ready controllers, let's you upgrade the HDD to 500gb any brand for $80,has good free online gaming, and a web browser.
People like the Wii and 360 for various reasons, but they're not the best consoles.
I put in the idea on www.us.playstation.com that they should update the PS3 to be able to let a user select a music playlist that starts playing when you sign in and plays always unless you turn it down. Where you can bring up the level of music sound and game sound in the XMB. That let's you select the level of each like as when you play Stardust. It would be a great feature.
It would have to allow me to login to my ID and then start playing my music playlist, have cross game chat, give me way more demos etc before I'd think about it. Even then it couldn't be more than $25 per year or forget it.
