To suggest that we as a community shouldn't have the right to speak up for ourselves. To suggest that the millions of people in this country who play violent games and DON'T go on killing sprees are blinded to the issue by their supposed "lust for violence." You, in your unspeakable and disgusting opportunism have grabbed onto this tragedy to further your own agenda and to attempt to revive your failed attempt to pry our freedoms as Americans loose.
You do not represent me, sir. And more, you make me ashamed to be a Californian and other politicians like you make me ashamed to be an American. "
You can't buy a pack of smokes and give them to your kid. That's illegal, too. If they made games the same, you wouldn't be allowed to give them to your kid.
If you ban guns, then only people who break the law will have them. If anything, the only way to lower gun violence is to ensure that everyone in the country has one. It's an extreme solution with absolutely no chance of ever being implemented, but a wise man once said "an armed society is a polite society."
They should never have gotten out of that business to begin with. Back when they were EB and Funcoland, you could find all kinds of NES and SNES games there- I once saw a copy of Contra at Funcoland for $60.
So Leland Yee is now crying that the NRA didn't support him in his quest to ban video games? He's using a tragedy like the CT shooting to push his agenda. He's an opportunistic tw@t and makes me ashamed to be Californian. Someone get him out of office.
