As the title of the topic of this thread states, I am having trouble connecting a new controller to my PS3. What do I need to do to get the second controller to work so my friend and I can play split-screen co-op and competitive game types?

How do you melee in Ghost Recon: Future Soldier? I have tried everything I can think of when I am right next to the enemy and I get killed everytime because they notice my presence. If anyone an help me figure out how to melee I would appreciate it.
They made less money than they spent. jg4xchamp
Wouldn't that be the publishers problem and not the developer?
I asked a similiar question a few months back but this is still bothering me. Why are publishers closing down great development studios because out of all the great games they make, one wasn't on par with the rest of their catalog? For example...
Factor 5 was such a great development team. They made the Rogue Squadron games that where great and fun to play, yet they make a launch title for the PS3 called "Lair" and everyone except me hated it. True, I hate motion controls but they made it so you could play it without having to use the sixaxis motion and they went under soon after. In my opinion "Lair" was a really fun game and if either the developers had given the option to control the dragons by using the thumb sticks or if the gamer was willing to play a game with a different control scheme than most flight games, maybe Factor 5 would have made a trilogy out of "Lair" which had a great game universe. But now Factor 5 closed up shop. I mean Factor 5 made the awesome Star Wars Rogue Squadron games.
Another one being Pandemic, they consistanly made awesome games, yet they make that last Mercenaries game and crash, there goes another great studio with a great back catalog of games they did like Star Wars: Battlefront. Yet because of one game they went under.
Another example being Free Radical Design, they made amazing games like Timesplitters series, yet they make "Haze" and they go bankrupt. But at least they are still alive in a way since Crytek bought them and now they are called Crytek UK and they made the multiplayer portion of "Crysis 2" and are now making "Homefront 2"(that is if THQ stays alive long enough).
Another example is Zipper Interactive, nearly every game Zipper Interactive made was worth it. The Socom series are a lot of fun, MAG was fun in it's own way and the novelty of playing with 256 players on the same map was awesome. I haven't got to play their swan song "Unit 13" because I don't have a PS Vita yet. But these guys should not have been shut down.
Another example is Kaos Studios, sure their back catalog wasn't was good as the rest I mentioned above but they didn't deserve to be closed because I noticed that each game they made was better than the last game they made so they were learning from their mistakes. Yet, now they are gone too.
Another example is Volition, even though it hasn't closed yet I gurantee it is one bad game away in terms of sales for that studio to be shut down. They even said that they are no longer making future games of one of their best franchises, "Red Faction".
I just can't understand how good developers like the ones I listed above are gone or on life support are dying or dead, yet developers that continue to make shovelware thrive.
I am trying to figure out which action game between the ones on this list to get. So please tell me which one you would get if you were me and please don't say any spoilers.
- Vainquish.
- Bayonetta.
- Velvet Assassin.
- Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands
- Prince of Persia (2008)
- Prototype.
- Red Faction: Armaggeddon.
- Resident Evil 5
- Dead Space
- Lost Planet: Colonies Edition.
- Shadows of the Damned.
So game should I get?
I hope they release Shenmue and Shemue 2 HD soon! I never got to play the first one but I played the second and I loved it. I hope they also decided to make a Shenmue 3. It would be a day one buy for me. Even though I have played through Shenmue 2, I will play through it again if they ever decide to relase the HD remakes. Crossing my fingers for a Shenmue 3. Shenmue 2 and Phantom Dust are my two favorite games of all time.
I would like to know what system wars thinks is the best first person shooter on this list and why. Please vote and explain why the game is better than the rest without revealing any spoilers in a message below for those of us that haven't played these games.
I think the reason they do it is because nearly all game franchises are being "consolized" and they don't like it. So they think the more people they convert to PC the more likely it is that games won't be consolized. Personally I find game franchises being "consolized" a good thing.
[QUOTE="Adziboy"][QUOTE="ElectronicMagic"]Just delete it, re-download, make sure your connected, and try again. I have a feeling its like MAG/PC games - you download the 'launcher/installer' and then when you load that up, you download a kajillion bytes. Or you downloaded the wrong thing. I own the game so cant help any further.Anyone else having trouble downloading it? I bought the full multiplayer version and I can't seem to play it. It installs in less than five seconds for me and says it's done but then it doesn't show the game on my console. Is this just me? Should I call Sony? Also what is the number for Sony of America anyway?

I wish I could. It just says that it installed yet nothing actually did. The game it said was 6 KB.
I think both are amazing games but I would choose Killzone 3. It's my favorite shooter franchise. Though it has lost a lot of what made me love the first game so much that made it stand out for me personally. Such as it's gun sound effects. I wish they would have kept the first games gun sound effects, but instead they made them similar to other shooters.
