Completed GTA4

As of today, I completed Grand Theft Auto 4, the ending was quite good. This is my first game in the GTA series to completed, because the previous games were difficult and it got too annoying for me. While this is the same thing, I took the time to manage to complete this game and wow/... it felt good. Being able to complete a GTA game for the first time.

Relentless Knight's Triumpant Return to Gamespot

As you aware, I returned back to Gamespot, but not that fully and active as before pretty much because there is another site, I regularly go to as well as not being active and playing a bunch of games. As evident by, the number of achievements, I got. Like finishing the first Condenmed. As for my inital thoughts, I don't see much scary in it, but sometimes like that doll level, scares me a bit. As well as Gears of War.

As for the previous blog, I have long forgotten the trip to China so to summarize my trip, IT IS AWESOME! There!

I recently and now, just finished a review that I've been not done by five months or so(Johnny Mnemonic) and the progression of my reviews are going slow. There are lots of reviews, I didn't finished since last year, so I should work on them, efficiency.

One of the reviews, I completed, was Medal of Honor: Heroes for the PSP, the first one, it turned out to be long but I will still keep that tradition going, writing long reviews and competing them towards other users. If a user writes even more, I will find a way to make it even longer.

As thats all I have to say...

Read my Medal of Honor: Heroes review!

Relentless Knight's Travel to China (Late Blog.... I mean tooo late.....

off the wall blog which in fact, it was! I probably should of find a computer to start this damned blog to compensate how astounding and fanastic, this glorious journey, that I have experienced. Well, just to remind you, this isn't propaganda that I'm selling like the fake theories, "people" have been saying in the news.

So heres my journey to China...

Day 1

What to say first, it all started in Feburary of the 28th, at the irriated wake up call from my father whom is really... just... an annoyance to us all. Which in fact was 5 0'clock in the morning. I packed up my stuff, brung some entertainment devices such as, PSP, my crappy 2GB iPod Nano and some books, so that it will consume mouthful of hours as the trip to Toronto to Guanzhou isn't a well deserved trip in fact. But it isn't a direct trip to China but rather, I have to change terimals. My first indenture was to Vancouver, less than an hour or two to be redirected to the terimal. That direct trip to Tokyo is no joke, it's just that the pilot on that plane "Air Canada" sucks at flying. Which is rather an annoyance to myself and other people whom were all Japanese. After much irriation of that arrival, in fact i just soiled myself, not to try to disgrace myself in front of the Japanese.

At the airport, I exchanged some money into "yen" which tells me that I should of learn my lesson ago, NOT to purchase anything at the airport. All the stuff there are expansive, maybe only the airport but if I go outside, I guess that the things outside the airport will be cheap...right? The hours, I've spent there wasn't satisfying at all, so I got on the plane to Guanzhou. I arrived there at midnight, it took a few oppurnities to leave but my father being a jerk like he always is, just.... arrrggh! My father's friend called and he told my dad that we are going to stay in a luxury hotel or spa and resort to be exact. When we arrived there, it looks so much like a 5-star Hotel, as evidence by their clothing and how much a great of a service when I entered upon the hotel. Just to remind you that when I entered there, there is some wierd things going on there, like seriously, not to be immature to its just a sauage fest there, and its just a pure concidence that I'm not eating hotdogs anymore. Man, I wish it was the females would share the men's change room but I will save that for another story.

"The taking all the clothes thing really didn't bother me... as much" but it was rather relaxing. The shower was nice and the food was good but has some merits. Then I went to massage, as much as the shower could be, the massage was rather relaxing but despite the fact, I don't speak Mandarian which is the language spoken there, I tend to avoid it. After that comfortable massage, I went to sleep because its midnight there and that ends the short day of Day 1.

More to come!

Late Rock Band Impressions

During my weekend with my cousins from New York, visiting for my grandpa's birthday, much after that great meal, I went back home and just wait to beat my cousin in Guitar Hero II. Luckily my other cousin lend me Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock and quite to a shock that its quite fun because not only the achievements but you can easily master the guitar as similar as its predecessors. After unlocking an achievement point, getting 100 streak on my first song, surprisingly, my cousin told me to come upstairs and I comply. When I went upstairs, my heart stopped, my eyes opened and the sweet scent is here: ROCK BAND!!! I guess my cousin overheard what I wanted in my grandpa's birthday party so he quickly managed to get one, and its just absolutely lucky that he could find one, anywhere because its kinda hard to get like Guitar Hero III:Legends of Rock.

While this was a hour before today, We started to ensemble the product and watching these On the Spot videos, shown me how to(very much thanks to the Gamespot Crew to letting us instruct how to emsemble it!). First It was the drum kit, while it was kinda hard to get it out of the box, in the first place, the instellation of the drum kit was a blast to emsemble upon. Next, it was the guitar, the guitar seems to have such of a facelift but still all these peripherals aren't wireless which bummed me out about it, but I didn't matter it so much so much as playing it. Then, I was surprised that the microphone can be used as you can tap if your according to, like a cowbell in "Don't Fear the Reaper by Blue Oyster Cult", which is fun but it hurts in the process, shanking it.

Finally everything is installed and we are ready to rock and roll, even though we have four players to play, two of them don't know to play guitar because they don't even know what is Guitar Hero or Rhythem Games even about. Either way, lets start! I chose the microphone mainly because i really need to practise much singing for Vocal Music because I'm like that and I have the balls to sing. My other cousin whom brought me Guitar hero III played the drums and both of my uncles played both guitars, one from Guitar Hero III and the Rock Band default guitar. As I could recall, I seemed to remember that we played Band Quickplay and played "Say It Ain't So" which failed miserably because my uncles, so they ditched us and me and my cousin continued on, we played quite good saying that its my first time singing(i guess towards singing rock sings not j-pop), i guess i played well on easy, my average is like 75% or higher and my cousin played quite well with the drums.

Well the much like the cowbell part, it quite hurts when I'm shanking rather than tapping because when i tap, the sensor won't accept it. Either way, I have an awesome time singing on quickplay. After that we switched and I was now playing the drums and my cousin played the guitar. After much hours of playing drums. my arms feel agonizing pain and its all itching and stuff which is really annoying, if you know what I mean. The druming part of the game seems really addicting but hard but you wanted to surpass it (I'm talking to you, Don't Fear the Reaper!). At first glance, I thought the kickstand and the druming part was quite similar to the guitar but I was wrong, so later on, I got the hanging to it, I just really don't need to be all crazy on my hands because besides getting more pain on my arms, the foot that is occupying in the kickstand is my weakpoint, sometimes I get the hang out of it, sometimes i can't.

After six or more hours of playing, finishing maybe in the middle of solo tour on singing and tagging along with my big brother on druming, guitar and switching all the time, I managed to be quite intrigued with this product, while like Alex said in his review, some peripherals or all of them don't work as well, I agree. My main complaint is the guitar, i kinda is bad, the struming is the main issue, its quite weaker than before, the other guitars that Harmonix produced, are easier to strum rather than play like for instance, you can't scroll down the song list without tapping endless to your desination which is really annoying and my arms are weak. I guess with these instrumental peripherals, they wanted you to not only be a vitrual Rock star but excerise much of your arms and singing talent which is genius on their part.

Thats all I could say or rather say at this time, before I go to continue rocking in Rock Band, Harmonix seems to be quite an astounding company to create such a trio or much of a party game in Rhythm Games, with all the stuff like Drum Mania, Karaoke Revolution and Guitar hero combined within it, Its safe to say that its the quite impressive or rather say its the best rhythm game of all time, there is no way that some other company with make it better, or say at least make it more innoative as this, like they probably make their wireless and throw in some features but I won't purchase it, I will continue rocking on the depths in Rock Band, pretty much forever to say it at least. And one last thing, he got this for me because he came here after weeks prior to my birthday, January the 4th, and got me, I'm going to say it, the best present ever, I don't really care that people say that they have a cell phone or a laptop as their present but in my opinion this is the best simply because I don't really needed a computer, or a cell phone, I have them already and I cherish them as much as Rock Band....

Maybe I will edit this content soon....

Edit: I forgot to mention, the star power stuff is quite astounding to say it at least, it has much of a facelift as like the gameplay portion, especially for the drums and singing which is quite challenging at start without the tuturials, druming so hard to your hearts content, getting that last green to receive a star power. The singing part is rather confusing, when you see some weird thingy on your karaoke part, you need to say something ridculous, i always say the f word and grunt at times. My process so far when I'm singing is rather awesome, i got much five stars on the solo tour than my three stars in Don't Fear the Reaper... I will continue singing... I'll keep you posted!

Results of Best and Worst of 2007

Sorry for the pretty much delay because I'm lazy but hey I beat, ffgothic, yays. Just kidding!

All of you been waiting for (at least none of you), Elendil's Best and Worst of 2007. Special Achievement towards Dubious Honours because I hate that maximun thingy!

Special Achievement

Best Original Music

Assassin's Creed

Bioshock

Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Super Mario Galaxy

And the winner is....

[/spoiler: Bioshock:

What makes Bioshock's soundtrack so unique is the sympathic and haunting music that creates the chemistry in the game. With similarity to John Carpenter's music-ish soundtrack. Bioshock delivers a haunting and abnormal soundtrack that will freak the daylights out of you. First, I expect Bioshock's soundtrack to be medicore but when you experience this gameplay, the music will go unexpected and will scare you, the composer that work on this game did a magificent job on fitting the music in this grosque-horror gameplay. You expected a non-aspirational soundtrack but it all comes to be just downright amazing. It may be have the same sense of music as the Silent Hill series, where the music comes to the unexpected.

But the burning question is: why isn't Mass Effect won or why isn't it in this category? Is because Mass Effect's music seems overblown melodramatic and when there are parts that doesn't have that, it seems to be fine but not as fine as Bioshock. Not saying that Bioshock is better than Mass Effect or anything, but i feel to experience the music more better than Mass Effect. It seems to be my sense of taste because I love horror music./]

Surprisingly Good Game

Stalker: Shadows of Chernoybl

Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

GrimGrimoire

Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords

And the winner is....

[/spoiler: Stalker: Shadows of Chernoybl

What seems to be a delay before, now seems like its worth the wait. GSC Game World recreated a unfictional world of Chernoybl, based on real world events. When its released, not that much people seemed to praise for this game, it seems to be left out in the cold shelves. Stalker has just have some unique charm to it, with a roleplaying element to the gorgeous atmosphere that has nonimated the winner. Stalker is just downright fun, some parts of the game like the quests for instance for kinda repetative but all and all, the gameplay is just awesome. Killing mutant dogs to surviving the radioactive activity that is lurking around you, it contains a twisted plot and engaging gameplay. And shooting dogs will always fun!

Why didn't Puzzle Quest win this category? Its because everyone likes to take a bite out of this game and Stalker never gets enough praise for it. While Puzzle Quest has a undeniable charm and unique gameplay to it, Stalker has good roleplaying elements plus some good quality gameplay to it. Even though Stalker doesn't have to run in a high-powered graphics card, like Crysis, the game looks amazing, and the cutscenes seems sort of real./]

Best Story

Eternal Sonata

Mass Effect

Bioshock

The Orange Box

And the winner is...

[/spoiler: Mass Effect

Not only that Mass Effect has godly voice acting but a deep and engaging storyline as well. From the guys that created Neverwinter Nights and such good rpg games, mostly in the computer. BioWare strieve to achieve making a game with a brand new formula, open-ended gameplay and fanastic story. There are moments in this game that everyone remembers and its just satisflying to venture through details and details of story and when the plot twists, you will be just surprised and shocked. A game with a future-estroque storyline will always deserve a nonimation because the future is just rad and none can comprend that. What makes Mass Effect unique is the way you interacted with people, and with different routes you take for dialogue, the story changes and it all depends on the endings. Mass Effect has alot of endings in which you are destined to, similar to Knights of the Old Republic, different dialogue and decisons you make, makes the plot even interesting and more depth to it. Its just amazing how the people in BioWare made this game and how the story changes if you make different decisions.

Bioshock didn't win in this category because, Bioshock seems to have a... its hard to describe it but the story has some flaws in it and it seems to be confusing. Yes its disturbing and subtle but it doesn't necessary means that it has a good storyline at all. Everyone seems to crave this game alot but the story is just disappointing to me because its all about either saving the little sisters or going for greed and yes its seems interesting to its time but I don't like that sort of thing./]

Best Graphics

Crysis

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Super Mario Galaxy

Eternal Sonata

And the winner is...

[/spoiler: Crysis

After the launch of both the 360 and Playstation 3, the graphics in each console both rival the PC. Even though, the PC graphics card is just incredible but it comes down to the step price tag. When DirectX 10 and new graphics card came out, the PC graphics look really realistic and to test out what the graphics card really stand is Crysis. While many other console games released in late 07 look amazing, it doesn't compare to the reality of the PC. Crysis just look.. let me say it in fanboy lanaguage... OMG t33h amazing! Everything from the texture of the environment, detailing from the trees, grass to buildings and the character models look eye-popping. Its just undeniable that what the guys from Ubisoft(Farcry) strieving to make this graphics engine so authenic and so livable, they must have a heck of a time making this engine. Thanks to the sandbox nature of the game, advanced physics, and artificial intelligence, Crysis allows for completely dynamic moments that not even the developers could have predicted. There's more to Crysis too because the game is stuffed with scenes that almost seem as if the developers are throwing down the gauntlet to their competitors.

This is a game that's so complex it not only pushes the latest PC hardware to its limits, but it will tax the next generation as well. It's so huge and ambitious that it's pretty much impossible to replicate the entire Crysis experience on a console without making significant compromises. But by making such a cutting-edge game, Crytek has not only given us an experience that showcases the power of today's PCs, but it has also offered a glimpse of tomorrow.

Super Mario Galaxy

Even though the Wii doesn't have the strength of the true power of graphics, it can be also artistic as well. Through the years, we see game like Okami and Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess that look so beautiful, you can call it artistic. Graphics can redefine artistic because graphics always have to be gorgeous and make your eyes pop because of much omenastly the game looks and feels. The graphical design people working on the artistic side of graphics is just magnificent to look at. Super Mario Galaxy is one of the true examples of how artistic a game can be in the Wii, in specific, consoles. Everywhere in the world of Super Mario Galaxy look optisimic, when you jump from planet to planet, the design in each planet look groundbreaking. Every detail of texture in that game looks fun and gorgeous to look at, many engaging battles might be hard but as you see how much texture of the character models on the game? It just mindblowing! It can be a gigantic airship to a huge monster, the design of each perceptive model looks intriguing and amazing./]

Most Improved Sequel

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Halo 3

Super Mario Galaxy

Metal of Honour: Heroes 2 (Wii)

And the winner is...

[/spoiler: Halo 3

Many can disagree why I picked this game as most improved sequel. Lets look what Halo 2 delivers, a lame storyline with a lousy cliffhanger, some missing guns and a dumb multiplayer. When Halo 3 beta came out, it just looks amazing and the multiplayer has a purpose to play. When Halo 3 was released, it shows the true example of how the storyline is done well, with a better storyline with a ending that will shock you. better guns, vehicles and more engaging multiplayer. Its just one heck of a time playing this game. Bungie finally realized how Halo 2 sucked up badly, as evidence by a news article and make it enjoyable and fun to play with. Compare this to the previous game, and see how awful that game was and how awesome this game is. With a stunning graphics and fun gameplay. Its safe to say that Halo 3 is the most improved sequel of this year./]

Funniest Game

The Orange Box/Portal

The Simpsons Game

WarioWare: Smooth Moves

Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction

And the winner is...

[/spoiler: Portal/The Orange Box

Its just undeniable that the Orange Box, specifically Portal is one of the funniest game of this year. The robotic female voice that is driving you crazy in the game, also contains humourous entertainment for everyone. Everytime you hear her, you can just not laugh at her comedic relief. And then there's the cake. Or is there? The dastardly GLaDOS lures you through a series of twists and turns in the maze with the promise of a taste of that sweet, slightly moist cake, preferably chocolate. Yet, as inhuman as GLaDOS seems throughout the course of the game, like when she taunts you into destroying your weighted companion cube, then cruelly notes that you were the easiest to convince of all the subjects, nothing makes her seem as wicked as the lie about cake. Only a monster would lie about cake. The whole thing is subtle, sadistic, and pretty darn funny.

And the whole tongue-in-cheek experience is capped off by one of the funniest songs in video game history, affectionately known as "The Portal Song," which embodies the game's commitment to a better tomorrow through science, no matter the human cost. So congratulations, "subject name here." You have made "subject hometown here" very proud. And keep doing your science, Valve, because with Portal, you've created the funniest game of the year./]

The reason why either the The simpsons game or Ratchet and Clank didn't win in this category because the simpsons game doesn't have such humor that Portal does and The Simpsons seems to go downhill after all. While Ratchet and Clank, they're only a few key moments that are entertaining like the turning enemies into penguins and making them dance.

Best New Hardware

HP Blackbird OO2 Desktop PC

Rock Band Instrument Set

Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT Video Card

Xbox 360 Elite

And the winner is...

[/spoiler: Rock Band Instrument Set

Through the years since Guitar Hero and other Harmonix games, this company develop some groundbreaking stuff, like the Gibson Game guitar that kinda revolutionize the gameplay. They were first on arcades, and now shipping towards home consoles , making the entertainment fun for everyone. With such amazement towards the media and the public raving about the Guitar Hero franchise and when new struck when Neversoft is making the next guitar hero game. Harmonix and MTV games went to EA to create their own game called Rock Band. When the news struck, it was unbelivable! When Harmonix said Rock Band not only comes with a Guitar but two guitars along with a drum set and microphone with a step price tag. People were thinking its too expensive but still brought it and what they get? A enjoyment of their lifetime. Everything from the drum set to the mike makes Rock Band, so enjoyable, its just a mix between the guitar hero, karoke revolution and Drum Mania and now its playable at home. Its just nostagic. Thats why the Rock Band Instrument Set won Best New Hardware of 2007./]

Eye-popping Control Scheme

Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Dragonball Z: Bukohai Tenuaki 3 (WII)

WarioWare: Smooth Moves

Assassin Creed

And the winner is...

[/spoiler: Dragonball Z: Bukohai Tenauki 3 (Wii)

The reason why Dragonball Z won in this category because its control scheme. During battles, the ability to interact with the controller is unbelievable, what really amazes me is when you do specials. When you perform those schemes you either do a stance like when you are releasing a kamamaha to swinging your arms like a crazy person.

Other games didn't win in this category because Dragonball Z has more movement and more depth to it, I know the game sucks but it has great use of the control scheme. Its a tough decision but it all comes down to the control scheme./]

Best Classic Game

Super Mario Bros. 3

Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Super Metriod

And the winner is...

[/spoiler: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Ever since 1998, this game was a huge hit either from the reviewers and the public's perceptives. Many warrant this game and scored it a perfect 10 for its revolutionary gameplay and groundbreaking graphics. Back then it was shocking that how Nintendo created such omastly and colour the game was, to its vastly rich environment, engaging storyline and amazing gameplay, its sure that Ocarina of Time is arguably one of the best game ever created. Nine years after when it became a huge hit, Nintendo decided to put this game into the Vitural Console for the Wii, which enable us to purchase it and reimagine the magnificent game in our perceptives, once again. But the main problem is that it doesn't save like the other Vitural Console game does. Its what the fanboys been craving for, if they didn't own a N64 or weren't born that time. Vitural Console releasing such classics like this is be worth mentioning once again. We should appericate and thanks Nintendo for reviving this game and putting this classic game into the Vitural Console!/]

Best Horror Game

Bioshock

Manhunt 2

Dementium: The Ward

Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition

And the winner is...

[/spoiler: Bioshock

When Irrational Games stated that they will make another game, I would think it will be the horror gratitude as System Shock, Bioshock's predecessor. And definantly it is, with a spoofy atmosphere, wierd psychos, little sisters and big daddy. What more can you ask for, for a horror game? Set in the city of Rapture, where their masters abandoned the citizens dwelding there that turned them into psychos and when you venture in Rapture. Not only there is a horrific and spoofy atmosphere and environment but sometimes theres these psychos will scare you from behind and you will pee in your pants instantly and Big Daddy are hard to kill and will kill you. The scary environment is another thing that sets the mood for horror, the city is left in ruins underwater and just everything. The thing is that you are not alone as there are some people that will help you and depending on what person you chose, it all ends up with a different ending. Its suffice to say that Bioshock proceed its predecessors on making an action-packed horror games that is indeed one of the best horror games of 2007./]

Dubious Honours

Worst Acting

Naruto: Rise of the Ninja

Two Worlds

CSI:3 Dimensions of Murder

Victorious Boxers: Revolution

And the winner is...

[/spoiler: Two Worlds

When a game released in another country or in North America has a bad translator in it, you know that game has its flaws or even fail as a game. Thats what Two Worlds did on the Xbox 360. A unknown company or unknown to me, Southpeak Interactive made this happen. I assume that the other games are at the same caliber as this game, the way the acting works. While many acting talents of famous celebrities go to waste on other games released this year, sometimes the celebrities doesn't deliver such emotion and life into the scene while some do. Thats because if they either got paid more than they get or get a profitable budget than that can the reason why they act better. But on to the subject, Two Worlds. The acting is downright terrible as evidence by the introduction, is it the script or the acting, you say? Its probably both, such oscar words as "I don't have sufficent times" makes some laughs down the road. If you watch or played that game, you'll understand. The acting is just terrible, the actors or the script didn't really put much heart in it, as mostly games out there. Games deserve good acting and not this sort of crap. Even the fans would disagree with me but games don't want to get this treatment.

The reason why Naruto: Rise of the Ninja or CSI 3 didn't get this award is because at least Naruto has a fairer script with no words that don't make any sense, even though the acting is terrible (BELIEVE IT!). CSI 3 is another story, the lack of celebrity talent is possess in there, with some key actors missing in that game and some awful actors replacing them, it seems that its only two of them. While Two Worlds dialogue possess terrible acting that are hilarious in some spots./]

Disappointing Delay

Grand Theft Auto IV

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns and Patriots

Super Smash Bros: Brawl

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames

And the winner is...

[/spoiler: Grand Theft Auto IV

When the trailers released on this game, everyone was so hyped about this game and they wanted badly. The trailers look astounding, with a new graphics engine, magnificent environment and dynamic visuals. Its safe to say that this game looks downright incredible at its fullest. With a new storyline, new characters, and probably better AI, each perceptive of these new things were great expectations. The wonders of how this game struggling to survive Hot Coffee and the rating of AO in Manhant 2 is beyond me. Its just awesome that Rockstar strieve to continue one of the notable franchises out there. Rockstar adds some premise to these trailers and made it unique, through the years when GTA was released, the trailer always shows a dude walking towards the camera with a rocket launcher and behind him is something being blowned up. While this one has some backstory and these trailers went up in hype, getting alots of views of stuff. While news struck that this game was coming out this year, everyone has huge expectations of this game and looking forward on buying it. Alot of people preordered it online and probably the special edition was sold out that time. When another news article said they delay it, everyone went up in shock as they were hyping are this game. Their reactions was furious and withdrawn their preorders except for the unfortuante ones that can't withdraw them because of the sites' policies. I was expected to get this game but its that guy's fault that we can't. I know, when they said its not ready for its released, its not ready. As they said, they are some techinical issues in this game and needed extented fixing as well making it so there can't be any Hot Coffee similarity like the last game./]

Perfection is not in Gaming: From the Past to Now.

Warning:

This engaging issue around the world of video games, specifically reviews in general for all major or non-major publications in general, are just opinionated. I considered this issue as difficult and can't understand why the people are giving out tens and why all series or franchises aren't perfect. While you probably will disagree with me, this is again, opinionated. This is just my perceptive on this issue from resighting the past generations and now. While they are not absolutely true to other people, this is more than a myth than a reality. This is what I view or heard throughout my past and now gaming life for game publications. The introduction of the birth of gaming maybe won't be accurate enough, but these information, I got from is from the TV show, History of Gaming. If you agree with me, which is rarely or disagree, like I said before, I'm entitled to my opinion. This is seems to be maybe a rare question noone seems to answer or even tackled upon.

Ever since the birth of gaming, and the first released of the Oydesses(The Pong system), many games were released and surpisingly they were either good games or terrible. Its unimaginable technology back then was satisfying enough to purchase the console itself and also its brilliant gameplay. When Atari famous games like Pac-man, Pong and Space Invaders were released on arcades, many people eagering were awaiting to play this game with their pants filled with quarters. Clearly Atari was a huge success before, getting millions of dollars from just the Arcade. It was soon worldwide as these addicting games will soon be in songs and merchandise. Atari decided to make a console for at home, so they can play these games without going to the local arcade store. With its Joystick and vilrant graphics, its indeed a pure classic for many generations to come. When the Japanese game, Donkey Kong came out and soon revealed that Nintendo's first console in westernized side of the Earth, the Nintendo Entertainment System(NES) came out, it was a mash hit and easily defeat Atari from how much people are playing it. The main reason and everyone's favourite Super Mario Bros., the graphics are undeniably astounding to feast your eyes upon and its gameplay was glorious to its extent. Similar to Pac-man, Super Mario Bros was also appeared in merchandise, in songs and TV shows. To tradition from making awesome games continue that road with such hits like Legend of Zelda and Metroid.

Even before, gaming came into birth or even the TV or radio, newsprint was the only option for news and entertainment. The news ran from a publication they worked on. Each article experess what their first impressions, their insights about the form of entertainment, politics and other and basically its like a review. Mainly because they are telling you what is going on in the world, or local, how was the game, telling some bio about the person's past, and other. With Advertisments rowing in their newspaper, sometimes they don't really wanted to say anything bad about the advertisment or the product of the advertisment because they are afraid that the company will fired them or lose lots of money from that causing them to sometimes be not that honest or biased as the fanboys or girls would say. When the big screen and music was invented, the birth of reviewing has commenced. The reviewers will tell you either this sort of entertainment was worth your while or not, giving you some sense that they are great or bad entertainment out there. So that they could take their advise and buy or watch that thing.

In that time, or later, the Nintendo Power and many magazines were publicized and mainly because they wanted to let fans and gamers alike to read their reviews, impressions and other to say that if this game is good or not, and should strongly suggested to take their recommendation. Many fans and gamers have first impressions, either that they think a review magazine was a good idea and they should take it, or think its a bad idea and buy what they wanted to. Either both of them, are both confusing at its own right because people change their decisions quickly after they saw a game that they wanted but received a low score and lost faith in them and second, those people disagreed in the first place will buy a game and will be left out disappointed with it. There are no truth from people even liking publications because sometimes a game that they craved or anticipated for got what they didn't predicted and hate them but still bare the pain for that game, move along and clearly return to trusting their reviews. Like its newpaper counterparts, magazines review games, give some sort of first impressions(previews), make some cool interesting features in their magazine and have advertisments in their magazine. Like advertisers they sometimes will pull or ask to withdraw their advertisments because of a bad review and will lose the publications money. Some gaming companies will probably enknowledge the reviewer's opinion, sort it out why it got that score or review and make it better. While many or some games followed that path, some games somehow keep on getting terrible. This whole phenemon soon will be free or most of the time free, with the new piece of technology and enabling us in the internet, the computer. These first ever companies created were Gamespot, IGN and Gamespy, prior to the reason why to make review that are quite longer than the magazine reviews, adding more content and such.

Genres out there are like for example Final Fantasy series, brought amount of gameplay, beautiful graphics, also redefine the word, RPG and such. But the series went on a bad turn to me and maybe others that agree with me, shooters With the installment of Dirge of Celebrus, many publications say that it lacked depth for a Final Fantasy game, and turn a bad route on this successful franchise. With an abysmal gameplay, bad controls and weak environment, it makes me wonder why they suddenly turned that way they did. Many fans of this series are just going to send death threats to me but its the reality, for the upcoming topic I'm going to answer is that not all companies are perfect.

This is the main issue for this topic, regarding about perfect games out there. In fanboy lanuage or to sum it up with a few words, No games are perfect! Back to non-fanboy lanuage, since the first perfect ten came out for a game in a publication, many gamers a-like were overjoyed because the favourite game scored a perfect 10, continuing to be on that magazine or site and raving that game is better than every game released. Its seems to awesome to see that the game is perfected by its technology and gameplay that its considered the best game of all time by the editors and fans. While its exciting to see that one-zero undering it perfect, some publications(I'm not going to name any) kinda abuse that system giving out more tens than expected, encouraging the developers to do more games will the same substance or sometimes like I said before, following the reviewers advise and succedingly came out as a famous hit. Before you go blood-feud on me, let me remind you. When the editors first get the copy of the game and also other sort of entertainment, while they are playing it, as a assume for a moment, it probably got some flaws like glitches and bugs in the game but forgot that they even exists, overcomsuming with the joy of the game, with such revolutionary technology, such a huge leap towards gaming and such that they forgotten about that. Some proof that people think this game is the perfect game, or evidence is to go search on youtube, gamefaqs or other websites that tell you that sometimes the game is copied from other games and culture and bugs, glitches and exploits. Many people ignored this and just gave this game a perfect score, probably because some parts on the game sometimes you don't like, and such like bugs, glitches and exploits are even merely small that you don't witness it but they are there. It affects the game from being ever perfect, or something. While it can be sometimes cheating, like noclip to finding some secrets that are exploits to in hit titles like Zelda and such, they are merely a few glitches and bugs in there but no one witness it. Like I said before, No game is ever perfected in a gaming franchise, they could be perfected in story, graphics, gameplay and others such but there can be still a mere of a glitch, bug or a exploit in the game. Sometimes they could be a game will sound, techincial, gameplay, and other bugs and glitches but the gamers disregarded them and just think of its revolutionary gameplay, story and graphics that made this game perfect. Its just confusing why the people are saying this game is perfect or something like that but still are overconsumed with the joy of playing it but disregarded the glitches, bugs and exploits as a imagination. This was a myth or not to gamers' minds from the past to now. In the future how know that gaming will be ever perfected, they might look at the bugs, glitches and exploits at those Walk-through sites and with harnessing their technology they can achieve the impossible. I know many people will totally disagree with me but, if you have some slight problems in the game like some parts you don't like, parts of the game are copy from another sort of entertainment, voice acting to annoying little one liners, bugs, glitches and exploits, don't hesistate and have integrity or courage to give even a game that is close to a perfect a 9.9 or under, depending how much bugs, expliots and glitches, some parts they have techincal issues to gameplay and graphics in general in the game. People might disagree with you but you should stand up for yourself, trust your instincts, and tell the gaming world that all games is NOT perfect but perfected in major parts and not perfect when on some issues like bugs, glitches, exploits and some parts you don't like to the few voices in the game to the one liners in dialogue that are annoying to you. I'm not bashing the developers and editors but I'm stating the fact that no game ever released in the whole life on gaming was ever perfect on everything. You might think thats harsh but developers think that its going to a perfect game but maybe issues like lack of delication, low budget, not paying their game tester that much(sometimes they actually pay enough but they get consume in the world of the video game they are tested on and just avoid that small issues and tacked the big or medium issues in the game) and others that I can't think my own.

Another issue like I was going to say in my third paragraph about no franchise is ever perfect. Like I said, Final Fantasy is an example for not being a perfect series but rather a successful franchise to this date. Adored by critics and celebrated by fans, it become a hallmark of this series and beyond. Such games almost perfected the series but sometimes it can be repetative, introducing new features but using them later, restoring graphics, implemenented gorgerous cutscenes and such but decided its a good idea to make it into a shooter or any other genre and sometimes fail or implementing a system and other assortments and not succeeding its expectations. Legend of Zelda is a different example than others, making a darker blunter than others. When Legend of Zelda came out the series reach about 50+ million copies around the world, and granted a successor of gaming, creating amounts of fanservice in communities, merchandise and most weird of them all cosplayers. Its popular because its very confusing storyline to date, addicting and brilliant gameplay, gorgerous graphics, amazing score like Final Fantasy and other. It become the Top Ten in Nintendo Power for almost probably three consecutive years or so. But when the idea of making the 2D Link jumping him into 3D, Nintendo decided to make the next game in the CD, partnering up with Sony. Sony then dropped the idea to make the Playstation and went to become a popular console. Nintendo then partnered with Philips, another CD-Rom company but Nintendo thought it was a bad idea and withdraw it. While partnershiping with Phillips, Nintendo offered the copyright of Link, Zelda and Ganon from the Zelda game. Philips went on to making its own console the Philips CD, and produced these games. These games were a mockery to the Legend of Zelda franchise, maybe Zelda fanboys or girls didn't heard of this but these games developed by Philips is just terrible to look at and its gameplay is abysmal. This was a bad blunder from Nintendo to do because if you departed your partnership and offer the licenses of Legend of Zelda's characters, you will soon know they could make a huge mockery to the series and probably deceive fans that know about this game and decided that Nintendo made a bad stunt or confused why Nintendo made a bad game but it wasn't Nintendo. Its these wonders, that is confusing, if you partnership with a company and withdraw it, you better not give the licenses to other companies that will make a mockery. Legend of Zelda still conceal those horrible games created by a different company and continuing to be a success, but people that play these games or even heard of it still lingered in their minds why did Nintendo do such a thing?

Thats why a franchise will never be perfect like games in franchises, sometimes they take the wrong direction, make a bad deal, keep on looking at publications that are TOO nice to them(giving high scores they don't deserve), no integrity, adverstiments and avoiding the professionals like Gamespot(its past crew that are gone), they should take the advice of them and make it even better but not too great because sometimes they seemed to be overdoing it. I'm not saying that Gamespot is the only honest video reviews, they have some bad turns too but at least only a selected amount of games were perfect Tens, and a game like Tony Hawk isn't a perfect game and like other publications saying all Legend of Zelda games are perfect but maybe not Majora's Mask. In the words of Alex Navvaro, "when we feel like a game is a perfected, its deserves a Ten" or something like that, from Burning Question but that feature is long gone. So they are no such things as a perfect game out there, they can be astounding or brilliant or something better but never a perfect game. If I feel like this game is received excellent by critics and its awesome storyline, graphics, revolutionary technology, gameplay and others, I'm not going to give it a TEN rather a 9.9 because like I said, there could be a slight problem in the game that you don't like or glitches, bugs or exploits.

And heres the end of this issue, I will predict the comments below with me, angry people flaming about me, saying I'm a idiot, or something even worse and sending death threats. But its my opinion, I need to get this off my head, and this question is probably never answer before in depth detail. I will apperciate any comments you send, either in my Gamespot profile, ElendilElessar, or if I created this in Video Format, I will gladly reply to all comments, good or bad and threats. I will absolutely respect your opinion and gladly reply....

Take care!

Hotty anticipated games such as Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass, makes you want to think why is this so good. Why you ask, the DS is popular? Well easy, its because of the slick and slim design and the stylish in the way its proves to be just a entertaining device capable of making lots of ideas for the publishers. 2007 will might be remember us some of the best years of the DS.

The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Hotel Dusk: Room 215

Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings

Pokemon Diamond

Ever since 2005, not many good games came out these past years. Most of them are just third party crap and only a few were purchasable games to buy. Unlike the DS, the PSP is one of the main entertainments devices out there, you can downloads movies, upload images play music and surf online. Its truly everything you imagined. This year, the PSP offer such titles as Crush and Puzzle Quest: Challenge of the Warlords. They all seems decent but can they make better like last year when they make hits like Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops and Tekken: Dark Ressuration? Either way, Heres the nonimees for Best PSP.

Sid Meier's Pirates!

Syphon Fitler: Logan's Shadow

Best Playstation 2

The Playstation 2 is ending up with a bang with such hit titles as God of War II and Shin Megami Tensei: Persona 3. We need to
deliberately to loyal and make a proper burial for this console as it is reaching its point to extinction. Yet, all the memories
of such awesome games and crappy multiplayer still linger in our hearts. All you need is to, just say goodbye like the Gameboy
Advance and Ngage. You seems to think I'm lying that the Playstation 2 isn't dead? Well it is dead because there will be no
first party games hitting on this console, only third party crap. Heres cherish this memory and select the nonimees for Best

Best Xbox 360

Since 2005, the Xbox 360 has a great year because all the great games that was released. The Xbox 360 had an incredible year,
especially for shooter fans, who got to sink their teeth into more excellent shooter action than you can shake a stick at coming
from a hugely anticipated sequel, but also from plenty of other high-quality shooters that all had something different and very
valuable to offer. There are many anticipated games this year, and most are comprise on this console, since this is the great year
of shooters. Games returning such include Halo 3 to Call of Duty 4: Modern Wafare, its just exciting to see those games released
this year. Its hard to decide which game is the top four games of 2007 in this category but it up ends up with which having the
highest scores. Heres to the thanks for the Xbox 360.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Halo 3

Rock Band

Mass Effect

Best Wii

Lets face it, last year, not so much good games were released that year, only Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess were the only
great game that was released. This year, 2007, there are a great selection of remarkable games that achieved the impossible
and basically showed us the way to see what the true power of the Wii is all about. Some are good, some are bad, but still
the Wii still has potential on making great titles like SUper Mario Galaxy and with more Vitrual Console games pouring out,
its safe to say that the Wii is astounding. Will Wii prevail in 2008? Lets stay in the present and see the nonimees for Best
Wii.

Super Mario Galaxy

Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition

WarioWare: Smooth Moves

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption

Best Playstation 3

Last year, like the Wii, the Playstation 3 also have a bad year for gaming. With only one title, Resistance: Fall of Man that
claimed to be the prestigious award last year. This year, the PS3 has plently of new releases that standout pretty great, this
could be quite a good year for this console. With such new titles like Warhawk, Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction and
Ninja Gaiden Sigma. Also with such amazing news like the Playstation 3 price cuts, everyone will finally want it because
of the games not the price. Delays such as Metal Gear Solid 4 is just disappointing. Damn you delays!

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

Assassin's Creed

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2

Ninja Gaiden Sigma

Best Pc

Along with such great titles releasing this year, the PC has the spotlight too. With a release of Windows Vista operating system,
a new graphics card and DirectX 10 graphical interface and Games for Windows branded on every game released in 2007. Some of the transition of this promised deal didn't result that good but still the list of games released this year is rocking and stellar.
Its just hard to believe that how much awesome titles hit the shelves on your game store. Now the PC won't have a small space
in the game store shelf anymore but a rather fitting one indeed. PC gaming might continue on to be a success for years to come!
Lets see whats the nonimees for best PC game released this year.

Crysis

World in Conflict

World of Warcraft: Burning Crusade

Galactic Civilizations II: Dark Avatar

Best and Worst Part 3: Genre Awards

Genre Awards

Innovative games that are desirable, but there's also something to be said for those games that execute tried-and-true
concepts extremely well. Besides games being innovative, some games don't have too and ended up pretty well. Genres
are essential for each individual game, they created the crave for them and revivalize it. For my genre awards, we recognize
the most popular **** of gaming and select the best examples of each one across all platforms. Heres those categories for
the Genre Awards.

Best Action Adventure Game

Action Adventure games had been much popular indeed. This genre is comprise more of button mashing to hack and slash fun, but not all of them are comprise of that. Some of them are hybrids and require you to be prusident. Many franchise out there that
are popular to everyone are: Zelda and Kratos, both of them are very popular to the gaming culture and they kick a** in games.
To win this award, they need to prove to defeat everyone in a Battle Royale. Heres the hack'n slash nonimees of 2007.

God of War II

Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass

Assassin's Creed

Ninja Gaiden Sigma

Best Shooter

The shooter category has been a hallmark of gaming culture. he word "shooter" has traditionally brought the first-person perspective to mind, but the definition in this category has grown to encompass just about any game in which you shoot at things with a gun. Third-person action has been creeping into these sorts of games with increasing regularity in recent years, but in the end, it all comes down to lining up the enemy in your sights and squeezing the trigger. 2007, has a great selection of shooters, most of them are kicka**. Heres the shot to the face categories of 2007.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

Crysis

Halo 3

Orange Box

Best Adventure Game

Remember Adventure Games, back in the day. You know mostly comprised of story, more interaction to the environment and solving puzzles? Yeah the developers probably forget about this genre. The Adventure Genre is the same as the fighting genre which its probably too old to be active in this society. But some developers showed some love and make some awesome titles for the adventure category. Its just disappoining that Dreamfall Chapters didn't arrived this year but either than that, these games
are probably the greats of 2007. Heres click for the best adventure game of 2007.

Hotel Dusk: Room 215

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trials and Tribulations

Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened

Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure

Best Rhythm/ Music Genre

Music-focused games are becoming more and more popular in their own right, so much so that we had to finally up and give the rhythm/music genre its own separate award. The four nominees in this category all take some form of popular music and translate it into rhythmic gameplay that's often challenging and always addictive. From rock, to pop, to ****c ballads, these games have it all. Lets rock out hard to the nonimees to Best Rhythm/ Music Genre.

Rock Band

Guitar Hero III

Ontamarama

SingStar Amped

Best Stragedy

Stragedy games continued the onslaught on evolving each year. What Stragedy games are basically consider the best is when you play it on the PC to get the full experience. But with Command & Conquer: Tiberium Sun on consoles, it shows us that Stragedy on consoles work fine. Some Stragedy games this year fully revolutionize the gameplay perceptive being that they are more enjoying that it looks, World in Conflict and Supreme Commander showed us the way towards massive conflicts in battlefields and without any framerate issues.Games like Command & Conquer: Tiberium Wars and Medieval didn't dramatically changed the ****of gameplay but just failed to be a RTS rather than become like its precedessors. Heres the selection of nonimees for the best Stragedy game of 2007.

Command & Conquer: Tiberium Wars

Supreme Commander

World in Conflict

Medieval II: Total War Kingdoms

Best Role-playing

There are much that Role-playing offers, interaction, a good battle system and create a character. Most of the Role-playing games are like a marathon to finish, its story-driven is much like the Adventure category. As much I adore this category before, this year didn't deliver much in the RPG category. It seems like the RPG genre is going to die down if they do make better games than this(with the exception of Mass Effect). Remember back in the Playstation and the Nintendo days, where they deliver hits like
Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest, Thousand Arms and etc? Those were the days but now these games in this year seems kinda boring but still they deliver some formula on the table. While it seems that another ****c Final Fantasy game is released in the Gameboy, so it might to some hope for the RPG category. Its good to see the Bioware guys making another game but to be honest, thats the only good game that come out this year, Disappointing. Heres just the nonimees for Best Role-playing.

Mass Effect

Eternal Sonata

Final Fantasy VI Advance

The Elder Scrolls IV: Shivering Isles

Best and Worst Part 2: Dubious Honours

Dubious Honours

Lets face it, there are no perfect video games. Heck all games aren't perfect. Some lack issues that the developers
didn't learn review scores to agonizing frame rates. There are a selection of worst game that came out this year
and once an anticipated game went into shambles. We should just put a spotlight to the dubious honours and make
the developers feel ashamed for themselves. Why because they entirely deserve for what the crap they did to making
crappy multiplatformers to making just god awful games. But not all games in this categories are bad, there are some
like Disappointing Delay and Best Game No One played. These games have a distinct taste of sour and awful taste in
them even if you throw them into the garbage can. Only 4 hand-picked games are in each category, I intend to revive
some old Gamespot categories in this section.

Worst Acting

Through the past decade, many celebrity voice actors were in part of the game for interest. In some cases, a elabarate
casting, and excellent writing. While some developers get AAA celebrity actors in their game but they can't seemed to
fit in the game, either from the lacking of miscast or doesn't a recognized voice portrayed in the game character. While
some others cast some unknown actors but they are still terrible at portraying their role. From
time to time, many seasoned actors voice their work in the game but just can't get the rhythm of getting either a good
script or getting a low budget for the game. Theres are often good games out there but bad voice acting, and a bad voice
from a bad game, it all comes down to a opportunity. For we can realize and shown a spotlight for worst acting in games.

Naruto: Rise of the Ninja

Two Worlds

CSI:3 Dimensions of Murder

Victorious Boxers: Revolution

Disappointing Delay

The line-up this season is through the roof. Some are so anticipated they are consider AA titles. While many games came
out, some were reported that they are coming out this season, but with no evidence. They're not! Not all games are going
to come out this year probably because the developers need some twinking to fixing some problems in their game. Its hard
to think that some of the other games that we're missing out on for the moment. This year's nominees for the Disappointing Delay aren't necessarily on the list because we were surprised by their delays, nor even because we expected for one minute that
we'd actually be playing these games in 2007. We really, really wanted to play them, though, and at some point, somebody,
somewhere told us we'd be able to do so. Heres the list for Dispointing Delay

Grand Theft Auto IV

Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns and Patriots

Super Smash Bros: Brawl

Mercenaries 2: World in Flames

Agonizing Frame Rate/ Crappy Slideshow

With all the beautiful graphics polish and texture quality can't save a game with a broken frame rate. Bad
frame rates occured playing a game with the interface lacking quality. You can think that this day and age
that developers knew how do control bad frame rate issues. Wrong! Choppy framerates are still a menace to
society. Sooner or later with high powered consoles like the Playstation 3, the power can't withstand and
will cause framerates to occur. Sometimes its the developers fault and sometimes its the console's tremousous
power that cause it. There are a equivalent amount of games that have framerate issues and heres my nonimiees.

The Orange Box (PS3)

Socom: US Navy SEALS Tactical Strike

Thrillville: Off the Rails

Tomb Raider: Anniversary (PSP)

Disappointing Game

It's very easy to get hype all over an anticipated game, especially in 2007, when some trailers of their games
looks promising. Unfortunely when the game comes out, it turns out to be a complete disaster and will regret
buying it or hyping up for it. The result: a not-so-auspicious award given to the worst offender of all the games
for which we had high hopes that were dashed to pieces. All we need to know is to not get so hyped up on anticipated
titles and just proceed in caution so that ifs the game is good or bad, we buy it. We should show a spotlight and
make the developers feel ashamed of themselves are putting a disappointing game of 2007.

Soulcalibur Legends

Kane and Lynch: Dead Men

Lair

Stranglehold

Flat-out Worst Game

Constants are few and far between in this constantly evolving world of ours, but if there's one thing you can count on each and
every year, it's a crop of really, really terrible games. Developers miss the mark all the time, but year in and year out, it
seems that a special few somehow manage to transcend the boundaries of mediocrity and create something so utterly terrible that even an utterance of said game's name sends shivers down the spines of gamers everywhere. Without fail, 2007 has delivered another onslaught of lousy games. These are the games you shouldn't, nay, mustn't play, for they are truly the cream of the crap crop.

Hour of Victory

You are Empty

Godzilla Unleashed

Dawn of Magic

Soulcalibur Legends

Disappointing Sequel

Many games achieved to be a huge success when they released a game. When the developer released an expansion pack or a sequel to the game, it can be either a success or a failure. 2007, has many games that came into a success, many hit titles like Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare shocked us with its graphical design and setting. This category awards the most disappointing sequel that feel that the developers screwed up badly. Some games are revisit from the past and made into a sequel and its a utter failure. Heres the selection of nonimees of 2007 for Disappointing Sequel.

Empire Earth III

Swashbucklers: Blue vs. Grey

Soulcalibur Legends

Soldier of Fortune: Payback
