I believe so, it's in the game description.

It's been on pace to outsell most of the other consoles when compared to the same lifespan since launch. It just got overshadowed by the Wiis numbers.

That's why I can't stand when people would say "is it going to fail?". No, it's not. It is selling extremely well for its price point and TYPICAL summer drought of games after launch.

The link is to a norwegian site, but it roughly says that early PS1 models SCPH-1001/2 has the same sound quality as CD players that cost around 30 000 - 40 000 NOK = 5000 - 6600 $.

It is the RCA output on the back that has superior quality compared to newer models.

So all you HIFI sound freaks bring out those PS1's;)
