I would love to play it online, but everytime I change my graphics options, it has a directx problem. And I have updated everything. Unfortunetaly, this is basically a console port :=(. I loved Cod2 for both 360 and PC, but this is flat out rediculous. Users have alsobeen reporting bad online errors.

Dude I didnt say it was bad in anyway, I have played and beaten every Cod except 3 at least 2 times. I love the games, but a new player might say "I like the looks of gow" and then they can like that. I personally would buy both if I had the funds, which I dont right now.

I think that Cod4 is a bit dissapointing, but nothing bad at all, I actually want to buy it. GOW was a great game on the xbox 360, it is a def. buy. Really, the gameplay in GOW is so much different and better than Cod's that it may signifya buy.

If you bought your computer from walmart, I suggest you tell me what model number it is, so I can tell you what your upgrade option are

My two cents on this topic is this, I need a good budget priced graphics card, I get the 8800gt. I know that it fits in my comp, works fast, and is cheap. The ati counterparts are always underpowered somehow, but, and I emphasize on the word but, they cost alot. Take into consideration that the Ati's use more power too, so that also gets me to never buy from them.

[QUOTE="LagMan_pt"]

If youre gonna update your computer or buy a new one each time theres a new technological game, youre gonna go bank rupt. A computer should last you a long time, at least untill you spend its total possibilitys, i for sure aint gonna buy a new rig just to play crysis, when all other games run maxed out at top speeds.

I have a two year oldathlon 64x2 3800+ s939(2x2000mhz) with four gigs 400mhz, and a new 8800 ultra,hope it lasts me at last 3 more years, so its been surpassed by faster machines but still kicks ass.The only game i cant run perfectly maxed out is crysis whichi insist playing at high quality 1248.1024 heheh, the game always plays between 20 an 30 fps, except when the action gets to hot it drops to 15. Still its very nice to play, for this one ill have to sacrifice some gameplay (those graphics are yummy) Now this game is a computer heart breaker, maybe it will get better in the retail- future drivers

[/my last rig was a pentium II celeron 400mhz and still there was gerat titles to play (nothing like the classics Heh)] LagMan_pt

doesnt your cpu bottleneck your comp?

Go for the 8800gt, nothing below it gives you optimal gaming(except of course the high end direct x 9 graphics cards).
