No, that will not work, your monitor needs to be HDCP Complaint, I don't belive a transcoder will work when displaying blu-ray media...

no nothing turns on. !!!!!!!!

If nothing turns on, not even with the charger on it may just be a dead PSP. If you want, you can go buy a new charger for the PSP, because it may be the system, otherwise contact Sony, (1-800-345-7669)...

As far as I know the only way to use your Playstation 3 with a PC monitor is if the monitor is HDCP Complaint. I'd recommend looking up the info on your monitor to check it it's HDCP compliant. If it is then you are in luck, well almost. Seeing as DVI is only video you will need something for sound. To get sound you can either use the A/V cables the Playstation 3 came with, or go optical.  And if you do decide to go with DVI, I'd recommend buying your HDMI-DVI cable from monoprice.com.

Best of luck!

That would be awesome is Sony did this, I'm not to sure 'why', but I know if Sony did this it will increase the PSP's sales even more! I really love my black PSP, but choice will be a good thing in my opinon...

First, does the PSP power on with out it's battery but the charger pluged in? If it does it may just be the battery. But if it still doesn't power on, and only the green light powers on with the battery in, it may just be a bricked PSP(not fixable). I'd contact SCEA just in case, 1-800-345-7669... Best of luck!
