To me, it definitely seems like there's an agenda to make games the gold standard. A thread got started with the games vs. sales debate, exluding the "no standard" option, it was accepted, and another thread was made to determine how to do it. After a community outcry, this most recent poll was made and with some pushing from other forum members such as subrosian, the 4th option was added with the pretense that the 4th added option had to outweigh all other options to be considered. I didn't think it was likely, TBH: I expected the 4th option to have the most votes but not get the majority it needed.
When I came back later today to find out how the tallying was going, I was suprised to find that the thread was gone: couldn't even get to it through my posting history. I notice this thread has been unstuck and that subrosian has posted up that, at the time of your discussion, the 4th option was indeed winning. Enter lengthy discussion as to why the results were thrown out (bias against games), and then enter my confusion why this biased poll was thrown out immediately, and the other one was accepted immediately.
Not only that, the pretense used for this poll (No option has to outweigh all other options) won't be carried over to the new one because of "happiness optimization?" Heck, if we're worried about keeping the majority here happy, lets just put up a poll with each system, declare a winner, and close the forum.
Maybe you still don't see why there appears to be bias, but it certainly seems that way to me.
