But teh PC games don't sell! REMEMBER. these numbers are just RETAIL, and include no Digital Distribution, whatsoever. If you add those in, Empire: Total War completely wiped the floor with EVERY other game last week.

Good result for Sega this week with Empire: Total War, the Creative Assembly PC sequel debuting at number one in the UK chart.
Killzone 2 was straight down to second place, and Halo Wars is off at fifth.

LOL, lets see how well it does in a region that matters for gaming, liek Japan or the US. Also LOL thinking that DD sales are significant.
As far as I know, Steam has 20 million users. If that's insignificant, then you've gotta set your priorities straight.... :roll:But there are over 250 million PC users with Gaming quality machines, 20 mill for Steam is VERY insignificant, especaiily for how long its been available. All new systems (360,PS3,Wii,DS,PSP) all have higher userbases than Steam as well...
Also if you look at the rest of the games of UK's top 40 best sellers, there are only 3 PC games, the rest are between the Consoles and Handhelds.
Yea PC Gaming is certainly not dying
[QUOTE="Shafftehr"]PC gamers always think they win. This is true of any system fan though... PC fanboys don't understand that some people are enjoying the heck out of other platforms... They interpret this simple fact as a sign that people are too stupid to realize that PC gaming is better. The reality is... A lot of people don't enjoy PC gaming as much as gaming on other platforms - which has nothing to do with them being too stupid to appreciate PC gaming. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.AdrianWerner
Ermm...."wining a gen" doesn't have much to do with personal preferences of you or anybody else, not at SW at least
Hay Adrian, were freeware games discontinued in 2007? Time to update your sig!
Keep up with what? I'm serisously asking you. Your logic in arguements matches that of banter found on playgrounds. There's no reasoning behind any of your findings, and half of the time you probably don't know what your talking about. Have fun catching up with the rest of us.

You have no argument, please leave. Please continue being a clueless Mac user....
[QUOTE="Stevo_the_gamer"]So long as you don't play frisbee with yours disks, and actually use "common sense" and put your disks back in their game cases -- there's no reason for your disks to get damaged.foxhound_fox
Unless your DVD-ROM become infected with StarForce and melts your STALKER disc until it nearly shatters in the drive. My retail copy got ruined by my DVD-ROM... so I decided to buy the Steam version for $5 so it would never happen again.
Thats the main advantage with DD, you can wait a while and the digital price will be next to nothing, shafting early adopters...
[QUOTE="Toriko42"]
I only will buy a game in hardcopy unless there is no other way to obtain it ie. Mega Man 9.
Hardcopy is just the way to go and it ensures I always have it without having to access some arbitrary account I may forget in five years.Bebi_vegeta
You can burn your games on DVD or whatever format via steam.
Thats common for PC pirates, but how do you suppose gets MM9 out of the Consoles and onto a DVD? I guess you can take out the hdd for the PS3, but thats pretty invasive. Nothing at all for the 360 version. For the Wii its easiest, but vanishes if the system breaks and you have to replace it..
DD is just not practical.

Yeah...none of that made sense. At all.
