They tend to go off the screen in about 3 weeks orso, glue off easily, and aren't really needed in my opinion. But then again seeing the PSP screen as a fingerprint magnet, I say you should take one.
I'd say yes, all of them are art. Some are better, some are worse, but it's the same thing, right? They're all games, and they're being looked at from different perspectives. Both a 3yo's stickman drawing and Da Vinci's Mona Lisa are art, it's just that the 3yo never saw or heard about Mona Lisa and Da Vinci, and even if s/he did, s/he'd still love the stickman more. That's why we have sites like gamespot and metacritic where people can rate those games along with the magazine and website critics, to see more different opinions on the same games. So yeah, kinda the first and the 2nd options both.
Maybe they're just targeting a different audience, that's all. I mean, not that many girls who'll play activision (real activision games, not the barbie stuff, lol) so that they need a female character. You know, with all the hype of "sex sells" and whatever, the word is almost always attached to female protagonists, but they never say that a shirtless/skimpy clothed MALE character such as...I don't know, Vaan from FF12 maybe, is a bad thing. It's always when the girl is in the lead. But meh, opinions are opinions.
Since I've played Lunar and since xseed games or whatever the name is, is publishing Ys Seven, I'll be taking a leap of faith and going for the Ys Seven. Even the Collector's edition maybe.
o_o Connecting your PSP to a TV or like someone before me said, to a dvr box or even a PS3, and then using a recorded after, or even a DV camera is good enough. I recorded my clips mostly with a PSP connected to my TV, and then just using my panasonic camera (Panasonic PV-GS400 4MP 3CCD MiniDV Camcorder to be more specific).
FF9 and 8 off the PSN. FF8 didn't really attract me that much, but I got it just because I'mma diehard fan, FF9, been playing it for a week now, over 40h of gameplay in it.
FF9, the whole Excalibur II thing, the setting of the game, and the theme music (A Place to Call Home is just brilliant, my favorite FF theme music, hands down), the first Final Fantasy that I actually beat to the end (8 and others came after), the freedom of movement, music, characters, it's just brilliant. Still to this day, I have the most fond memories of FF9, and always will.
I actually don't have a favorite FF villain, most of them are dull, while the protagonists and their party on the other hand, are pure awesome. But if I really had to choose, I'd choose Kuja, for the whole tranny look and everything. I swear to God I thought he was a girl until Zidane actually had to fight him.
