I want to have a good impression of this game, but I feel like I have to take it with a pinch of salt. I hope its plot won't be convoluted as its in a genre where stories can fall prey to that.
I also hope the gameplay won't be mind-numbing. For a lot of people, that's what matters more. I remember quite a number of people who couldn't standL.A. Noire's gameplay.
Anyway, I wish them well. I just hope the game won't be repetitive, but so far, it looks good. I'm pleased to see a new IP.
@b10nutz She is intelligible enough. Have you listened to Mark Walton? Or IGN's Greg Miller talking? Not that I find them hard to understand, but maybe you would if you find Jess not easy to understand.
Who's going to bother buying this for current gen consoles when the definitive experience will be on the PS4 and X1?
Seems a bit illogical to release it on current gen consoles. I mean, does the fact that they are doing this mean that not enough effort is going into the next-gen versions? Perhaps they'll be just visually upscaled versions of the current gen ones but identical in gameplay.
However, I get the point that it might make sense to release it on the 360 and PS3 as well since that's what people currently have. Still, I have a feeling a number of gamers will prefer to buy it on the PS4 than on what they have now.
It's just so fishy. Something doesn't add up. I don't think they would want to incur the double cost of developing a game for both generations unless there's a cost-effective way of doing so, which leads me to believe that the next-gen versions are only upscaled versions of the current gen ones.
I might not be right and my observation might not be valid, but it's just what I'm feeling right now.
@thekingofirony I highly doubt. Uncharted is the kind of franchise that can never end. As long as they come up with a new adventure and a set of interesting characters then they'll always have a reason to release a sequel.
@mdadalt I actually got that impression too initially when I read the summary, but don't mind it.
It's not really a spoiler as it doesn't tell you want happens to the characters. It's just like telling someone who's new to Mass Effect, "Shepherd's story concludes in Mass Effect 3" but you don't tell them what happens to him/her.
Anything could be meant by Joel and Ellie's story coming to an end, so don't worry too much.
Dude, that is just douchey. It's one thing to be a pirate, but it's another to be so proud of it. That's just like pirating and showing the middle finger to Naughty Dog.
These guys worked so hard to create what seems to be a fantastic game and you go on and steal it. At least show some support and buy a game that has had a lot of effort put into it. Just imagine if you were owner of Naughty Dog and saw some dude doing what you're doing right now, how you would feel? Great, right?
I'm not gonna be a hypocrite here, though. I myself download films and episodes of my favourite series Game of Thrones since it doesn't air in my country and finding the series in stores is difficult.
I have my reasons for downloading films since I have managed to avoid watching certain films in the cinema, which would have been regrettable mistakes.
Still, I'm not proud of it and I wish I could stop. I'm just in a tight situation which makes downloading movies the most logical option. But I wouldn't if I had Netflix for example. (It's not available in my country.)
