All I could think about while reading this was the Blues Brothers bridge scene.

Well I'm no expert but I have this problem with one of my frets also, I think it happens because the metal part (the fret) is either too high or too low, but I may be wrong. It wouldn't hurt to take it to a shop, and you'll definitely want to get it checked out as you play the 5th fret pretty dang often.

What they are saying is true, take it to a shop. When they work on it, watch what they do so that you can do it yourself next time and have a better knowledge of how a guitar works.

By definition something paranormal cannot happen Brainkiller05

So you're telling me that when something happens that is beyond normal and cannot be explained by our current science.... it didn't happen?

No man you completely misinterpreted the ending. He really did KILL his wife after she killed their three kids. He could not handle the fact that he had lost his whole family, so he created an alternate reality for himself where he is a federal marshall, changes his name from Andrew Laeddis to Teddy Daniels. In his alter-ego, he puts the blame of the death of his wife on someone fictional to rid himself of his guilt. The doctor at Shutter Island was trying to help him remember who he really is, not brainwash him. Hope that helps :)

i got confused cause the movie kind of made the doctor (not leonardo's partner, the doctor guy in the light house at the end) look bad. Remember when leonardo was in the cave talking to the woman in the fire place and she talks about how the asylum conducts illegal experiments and such, so i thought the asylum was actually doing illegal activities and experiments on mental ill people.

Yea man that's completely understandable, I know that when I read the book I had to look over the ending more than once!

wolverine4262

so why did he show up on the island in the first place, basically to carry out his new fictional character he created for himself? if so how did he get a marshall's badge with license

NO...you completely missed it. The entire thing was staged for him by the asylum. Everything was fake. They did this b/c they thought if they indulged him, it would show him how ridiculous and fantastic his delusion is...

Yea, and this would have made more sense if they had used a line from the book where the doctor asks him if he has any memories before boarding the boat, it makes it more obvious that they planted him on the boat.

Hey that's a good point, I couldn't figure out the significance of that last line but now I know... I feel stupid.
