-Not so much secretly, but simply refusing to acknowledge. Halal food is everywhere, and it isn't labelled, so you don't know what you are getting. I'm not painting some government conspiracy to force everyone to eat Halal here, but a accomodation for Muslims; ignoring what anyone else thinks about it.
-They aren't secret, the government just doesn't acknowledge their existence, despite there being 85+ reported as being in the UK since journalists last checked. What they do is allow parts of Sharia law to be practiced in the UK, provided that they don't conflict with local law. So while they cannot cut anyone's hands off, they can rule in favour of a husband beating his wife, because unless she actually asks for offical help; we cannot do anything about it. After all, we have to respect their "culture".
-I'm not saying Halal is cheaper, I'm saying it's cheaper to just allow Halal meat to circulate with meat slaughtered in line with animal welfare standards; than trying to seperate it all. Supermarkets refuse to label them, so there is no way of knowing if you are getting ethically slaughtered meat or Halal meat. Ultimately if you have a passive public on one hand, and vocal Muslim community leaders on the other, who are you going to listen to?
-Islam tries to impose itself wherever it goes. Unlike Christianity and Judaism, Islam hasn't quite grown up in that regard. That wouldn't be so much of a problem, except they flourish in this multicultural/political correctness environment, because their mentality on co-existence is based on submission. Those with the multicultural mentality think if they keep showing Islam respect, they will eventually come around and we can live together in Harmony. What they don't understand is Islam doesn't compromise, you submit, that's the deal.
I don't think there is a conspiracy by Muslims to take over my country. This is just the nature of Islam, and these multicultural cowards are enabling it to happen; because they haven't got the backbone to stand up for their own people. That, and a great deal of these multicultural people are probably secret Islamaphobes, afraid if they don't give Muslims everything they want; they will riot and kill people. So much so, that the more pro multiculturalism a government is, the higher the chances are they have anti blasphemy laws in place; that only seem to apply to Islam. They're terrified of a cartoonist or freedom of speech advocate coming along; and upsetting the more violent and vocal segments of the Muslim immigrant population.
What? If you'd said "Muslims" instead of "Islam" I might have agreed. Have you even read the history of the Christian West for the pas 4-500 years. It's basically just Christians oppressing and destroying most of the non-Christian populations they come across. As the Christian West became more powerful it abused every group that it could. The Westto inflict the scourge of colonialism, massive slavery, 2 World Wars and a Holocaust before it became "civilised." If you're going to judge a religion, then take it as a whole. Christians from 300 years ago are still Christians. They are more guilty of any kind of oppression or imposing their laws and norms than any other group in history.
Now, people change. Like I said, if you said "muslims" today do that, I might have agreed.
