Console BC is indeed much more strict, but when games work, they work. No bugs to patch or google solution searches needed.

[QUOTE="EvanTheGamer"]So much for PC getting ingnored by developers in favor of consoles, eh. Console exclusivity is dead, anyway. Development costs are expensive, and barring a game being published by Sony/MS, it's far more worthwhile to publish on all three/four.3) Bohemia Interactive (Arma, OpFlash,) GSC (Stalker series,) The Creative Assembly (Total War,) Maxis (The Sims,) Paradox Interactive (Europa Universals 3,) Massive (World in Conflict,) and CD Project Red (The Witcher,) would like to say hello. Over 9000 indie developers are waiting at the door too.
Thats nice.

Major devs are ignoring the PC, the platform hasn't had a big name game in years, it gets plenty of DRM and such invansive stuff though.
I will give you credit about console exclusivity, Nintendo is pretty much the only ones allowed to use that term.

see except all that PC software can be played on one set of hardware, which is why its included.

Oh please, don't give us that BS. Compatibility is always a gamble with PC, custom built or not.
maybe for games well over a decade old. Other than that, all games work fine. Especially all the Blizzard games, which never have any sort of compatibility problems.
Blizzard is pretty good, always patching bugs to their incomplete games.

[QUOTE="Boomshaffted"]I notice PC gamers jumping to say "LOLZORS INCLUDES HANDHELDS EPIC PHAIL!" but, I have to wonder, when's the last time you saw a PC gamer bragging about how much money is spent on PC gaming sales add in a "Well, we can't take this number at face value since it includes old games released last gen or before, such as Diablo II, Starcraft, Warcraft, and WoW"... PC gamers *VERY* often say "PC gaming > all"... Well, here is PC gaming VS all in one context, and all I'm hearing is whining and excuses. What's up Hermits?cobrax25

Have you yet realized that your "console numbers" include Hardware sales and handhelds....or were you just planing on ignoring that fact entirely.
cobrax25
And? Handhelds are just portable consoles as are laptops to desktops.
so your now comparing 7 (?) platforms to one, and including their coorasponding hardware sales. I really didnt expect anyone to stoop that low, even you.
Well look at the numbers, all but PSP had pretty much more profits then PC. This just goes to show that people want systems with games.

Very perceptive, caught those PC Elitists red handed.

WoW being the only majorly profitable PC game is quite a feat, especially since there are plenty of superior free MMO's out there. Oh well, let's review what facts we know
1) PC gets 2.6% of the retail market
2) PC gets ??% of the DD market
3) PC gamers get ignored by developers in favor of the consolesYour move.

The NPD themseves say they expect digital distrobution to exceed retail on the PC this year.
cobrax25
Just barely? That's so pathetic considering PC retail has been abysmal for a very long time.
didnt you just say the DD numbers were insignificant? you really got to make up your mind.
What I said made DD look even more insignificant, reading comprehension FTW, my friend.
