Ok so i'll get all the details out of the way. I have an Asus VW222 LCD monitor with a native resolution of 1680x1050 and a refresh rate of 60Hz. I got the VGA cables today and hooked them up, got sound working fine. My issue is that when I set the 360 to 1680x1050, the native resolution of my monitor, i get back bars at the top and bottom of the screen, I have to drop to 1330x768 to get rid of them. With my reasoning, this should not be happening, 1680x1050 is a 16:10 resolution supported by the 360, and my monitor's native resolution is 1680x1050. Anybody have any ideas as to why this might be happening? They are the official Microsoft cables. Also, I'm wondering if I can use the mic I have plugged in to the back of my computer for Live. Thanks for reading this far.
