Is a 512MB NVIDIA GeForce 8700M GT or a 256MB NVIDIA GeForce Go 7900? And is the 512MB Geforce Go 7950 GTX better than the 8700 GT. Well to put it simply which one should I get if I want a to buy a laptop (you can't change the graphics card).

[QUOTE="EvilGenius_3"]Thanks for the feedback guys, I really appreicate it. I will take a desktop into consideration for my pruchase.Rhamsus

I'd definitely go with the Dell - higher resolution on the monitor, a better processor, and a very acceptable graphics card all make for a better machine.RayvinAzn

and a battery made by sony......i really wish people would stop recommending dell laptops...the recall list for exploding batteries is getting longer by the day..... if you truly want a gaming laptop dont get it from dell. get it form here http://www.falcon-nw.com/ if you can afford it ; )

Unfortuantely they are WAY out of my budget =)

As you guy don't seem to have any recommendations could you tell me which is better?

Alienware M9750:

17" 1440x900

Intel Core 2 Duo T5500 1.66Ghz 2mb cache 667mhz FSB

512 MB Nvidia Geforce Go 7950GTX

2x1024 667 Mhz

160GB 5.400 U/min

2.0 mega-pixel webcam

1800 euro

Dell XPS M1710

17" 1900x 1200

Intel Core 2 Duo T7200 2.0Ghz 4mb cache 667 FSB

256Mb Nvidia Geforce 7900

2x1024 667 Mh

160GB 5.400 U/min

1600 euro

The alienware has webcam and a better graphics card and the dell has a better processor and price. I am totally unsure. They are nearly the same size and weight so which would you guys say is better?

Unfortunately I don't have unlimited amount of money, I have a budget of about 1600 euro (2000 dollars). I thought of getting the Dell XPS M1710 or an Alienware M9750 but it seems underpowered for the price. Any suggestions?

Nvidia geforce go 7950 GTX

Nvidia geforce go 8600 M GT

Is the 8600 better or the 7950? I assume the 8600 is better because it is the next generation of cards..
