Take it and play it a game at a time. It's the best strategy.

Lots of research on my part and user feedback. Every once in a while i will give a game i dont find a particular interest in (but other do) a chance. The only games i buy on day one are releases i am totally interested in and looking forward to. Everything else i buy when the price drop or used.
Gears of War series for sure.
My pick is Afterlife. I totally love the atmosphere, music and above all - Aria!
What do you think?
I hope they stick around forever.

[QUOTE="wwervin"] I suggest both of you brush up on some information before making asinine statements like that. The fact is reviews do matter a lot to the people who work on these games, and I simply think it's shameful for a reviewer to be so unprofessional as to bring in their own bias into a review and dock points from an otherwise incredible game just to satisfy their own idiotic tendencies. http://kotaku.com/metacritic-matters-how-review-scores-hurt-video-games-472462218 I can find plenty of other sources if you'd like but I'll stop there.Jaysonguy
What's different about video games compared to other forms of entertainment? Nothing. A personal review is just that personal review. End of story. If i decide not to buy a game becuase Carolyin Petit said it was "politically muddled" then it is my loss. Deadly Premonition got a 2/10 on IGN for goodness' sake, and i still bought the game brand-spanking-new and enjoyed it lots!!! Did a score of 2/10 hurt DP's sales? Probably. Did Carolyin's 9/10 score for GTA V hurt GTA V's sales? Nope! 800 mill in a day...
In the end a score of 9 is not bad at all.
It most certainly hurt people getting paid for the game
9 out of 10 man... Considering how superficial rating systems are. I would understand if it is 6/10 or 7/10, but 9/10 is a pretty good score. The game does have some serious glitches (disappearing cars from garages for one), so it is not a perfect '10'. What is?
I agree with the TC wholeheartedly! I am actually glad other people have noticed this. I am sure there might some nice Ashley's out there, but my personal experiences have been very negative. And from the looks of it, i am not the only one. I have second thoughts every time i meet an Ashley. No offense intended but it has been my experience. Kudos to the TC for this topic!
[QUOTE="EvilSelf"]Who cares about the score? I am playing the game right now and haven't put the controller down for a straight 11 hours. And i am not a fan of the GTA series!!!
Great game so far, and i dont care about specific opinions, but rather the overall perception of the gaming community. Just enjoy the damn game and let's not get at each other's throats for how much we liked or not liked the game.

1. Someone arguing about another persons opinion or
2. Still thinking that GS reviews are worth anyones time.

Dead Space 1 was excellent to be honest. I did enjoy the second and third title, but not as much as the first one.
