Aren't you the same guy who stood up to them and told them who didn't want to become a nurse? I think I've my point clear here... go and tell them, don't spend your time thinking about what could have been, take a shot! lebanese_boy

How? I was scared to death to tell them, it took me 4 monthes.

Jim,

i thnk you should definitely get a Golden. I've had them my whole live and I will never go back. Currently I have 2 Goldens and I plan on always having at least one for the rest of my life. I think they are extremely smart and easy to train, as long as you dedicate some time to them. Having any kind of dog isn't appropriate for someone that isn't willing to dedicate a lot of time to them. And, Rev, of course you can't let your dog get outside! It's definitely not his fault that he got hit by a car...

murlow12

Its all up to my parents... I told you, I'm afraid to ask them anything, I'm a 20 Year Old man afraid of his parents... you figure it out. I've been wanting to ask them for about 2 weeks now, or longer, but I'm afraid of what they'll say, they always think negative. I never ever ask them for anything, and you don't have to worry about me dedicating time to the puppy, I'm home 70% of the time, and have nothing to do because my life is miserable... I've wanted a dog since I was about 10... I don't think I'll give up on it.

I had a Golden Retriever for about a year, and it ran outside and got itself hit by a car a few months ago. Retrievers aren't as obedient and well trained as people think they are. It takes a LOT of work and effort to get them to be obedient.

Personally, I'm more of a cat person. I have one big fat cat that likes to eat herself (literally, she chewed away her fur and she has a huge scab on her right now), and another fluffy moronic cat that's easily the most amusing thing to watch.

I have a one way street in a small neighbor, rarely do cars come down the street, but be sides the point, I have the patience to train it and it'll take my mind off of things I'm worrying about. I'll most likely take it to obience classes.

i want a dog so bad....my damn landlord/grandfather forbids it.....once i get a place of my own i will have pets. a dog and a cat. maybe a fish tank, but that can wait.

i am leaning towards smaller dogs at the moment, but i want a retirever one day, and a doberman.

ThePrince8605

Thats why I'd rather live at my house with my parents and not an apartment or condo, you can't do anything like have parties because its too loud or have pets to keep you company... and its too expensive, its just as expensive as just living in a regular home that you own. Anyways, I can do small dogs, I don't like them, I like big dogs like Viszlas, Goldens, Huskies, Labs, etc. The smaller ones seem to bark too much. But not as big as a doberman! Damn, there bigger than me! I just hope to god my parents allow this... they should, its me.

Also about selling video games. Jim, I got into that 2 weeks ago and I absolutely love it. Here's what I did: I've put every games I had in front of me (per console of course since I had like 180 games at that time) and evaluated each of them. I picked every games I hated in my collection and put them in the ''for sale bag''. I also picke those that I know I'll never play again. The result of which is that my collection is now down to about 160 games and I've got some more to sell. Part of the money I wasted on these comes back and let me tell you it's a great sensation. I recommend you do the same; keep your favourites and good ones, sell the rest. lebanese_boy

I'll be selling them and saving for the pup I'm getting, that is if I'm allowed... I still have to do some major reading about everything, so I may buy a Golden Retriever book at a pet store.

Yay for snow days! baha

How's the weather in Philly, Jim? I'm wondering if it's as icy there as it is here.

I honestly haven't played many video games lately, but I am looking forward to Fire Emblem. I seem to be more interested in music these days rather than video games, mainly because music almost always requires some kind of artistic talent.... but it's annoying to see game developers making so much junk these days. Everything is either a sequel or some dumb mini game.

REVOLUTIONfreak

Yea, theres about 2 inches of ice on the streets... I didn't go to school because my University only had 2 hour delay whereaas others had off... when I say we don't get off for anything, I meant it.

Anyways, I'm not really into video games either anymore. I thinking I'm going to put my money on RE5 that I reserved on Halo Wars. I don't play games much, so I might be selling some soon. What I really want to get for my birthday, coming March 14th (the day after RE5 release... weird). is a Gold Retriever puppy. My sister has been begging and begging, and my parents know she won't do anything for it or with it when we get it, and I really want a dog, but I'm the kind of guy that keeps what he wants inside because I don't like asking for things. But I really want a little buddy to do something with and with all the free time I have and since all my friends all work and are all at school all the time, I'll have my dog to do things with. My favorite dog in a Siberian Husky, but since they shed extremely heavy and aren't as obedient, my second fav is a Golden. I'll most likely get a Siberian when I move out and get my own house.

And since I'm asking for it, I'm very responsible, my parents will know I'll take care of it... plus I'll be paying for all it's health care and fixing and shots. I'll be paying for everything, because basically it'll be mine, I'll probably take it with me when I move out. Anyways...

What do yous think...?

Last year on what? Dude I don't watch every single games out there. And if you meant the All-Star game last year no I didn't watch that one. Like I said, I don't like them so much but I was interested in this one the most since it was in Montreal.

Also I'm not a huge fanatic like you (meaning I don't keep up with stats and such), I leave that to others. I just like the game and my teams that's all.

I'm like the only one in Montreal who hates Price, he replaced my favourite goalie since Roy, Huet. Plus that guy is way too overated.

Kovalev is a 2nd Guy Lafleur to us, how is he ''not that good'' ? That guy is an artist on the ice. Ovechkin is a natural in this and I pretty much didn't pay attention to the others you mentionned. WTF was a Flyers doing here :P ?

Kidding, anyway I don't like the All-Stars games so much. There's no emotion or intensity in them, I'd watch a regular Canadiens game over an all-star game anyday.

lebanese_boy

0.o ... Ali Kovalchek lead the lead in goal last year before Ovechkin beat him out by 2 goals... do you watch hockey  ?

Ahh I hate it that they've put Carey Price as the starting goalie ..... lebanese_boy

Yea, me too, he sucks.

We've got Ovechkin, we've got Kovalev... no wonder. It was pretty intense during the last minutes, I always love it when a game ends in shootout. lebanese_boy

Kovalevs not even that good, hes just living off his name he have over the years, and Ovechkin... hes good... but you failed to mention Kovalchek of the Thrashers, Malkin of Pittsburgh, Savaro of Boston, and Jeff Carter of Philly.
