[QUOTE="markop2003"]Why does it matter if his family likes you or not? You're his friend not his family's.

They're religious (parents) and have power issues. I'm sure they could keep him away from me if they wanted to. I'm not too sure if it was his father or uncle yet but still, I feel kind of bad.

I won't be able to say it face to face in about a year because he's moving. This is the first time I felt bad about talking smack and I sure as hell don't want him to sit through a "THE INTERNET AND FACEBOOK IS EVIL" talk with his father because I love talking smack :(

Could you break it up into paragraphs please?

Edit: just ignore it, there's nothing you can do.

Long story short, I talked smack on Facebook with two of my friend's cousins, his uncle or father commented and I think I might get the cold shoulder from his family. What do I do?

I'm sorry if this is an awkward introduction but, About an hour ago I posted a comment on a friend's photo of his new suit for a black tie event we were attending. I complimented him, blah blah blah "nice suit, like the way its cut, etc" but then I made a little joke about his shoes (they were these black mocassins that didnt really match). The next thing I know, I have two other guys commenting on the photo questioning my manhood and the sexual orientation of my mother. I naturally, talked trash back (and downright owned them at that) then the next thing I know they're "asking god to forgive me" (obviously a sign that they got owned) and my friend had no idea which side to take. It was either me or his two cousins which he doesn't really like, but then again, they're his family ya know? So he signs out now I'm left talking smack with these goofs. I check back an hour later after my last post and notice that someone with the same last name as my friend posts on the photo saying, "Our family does not respect rude people who cuss, etc" then one of the two jokers says, "Ok uncle I'll just ignore him"....oh man. This guy could either be my friend's dad or uncle....[EXPLETIVE]. What the hell do I do? The guy is sometimes hard on my friend and he might get angry at him for me talkin dirty like some Brooklyn kids....I don't even care if he was referring to me and pardoned the two guys I was dissing despite the fact that they made jokes about my mom, female dog insults, usual homosexuality jabs, etc. What the hell do I do to make things straight? Thankfully none of our mutual friends were there to witness it...but still.
