Really? I've noticed quite the opposite. On every gaming video with a girl in it all the guys go "WOW you rule!" even if they suck, and theres always a lot of perverted comments as well. This isn't just on MW2 videos it happens on all kinds of vids.

SC2. I played DoW2 for a while and found it really boring, it's like an RTS without the whole economy and base building thing, so the only real strategy involved is microing your troops. Kinda pointless if you ask me. SC2 is also quite simple yet strategical and fun.
It's all about scouting, man. If you see a spawning pool up early and no drones being made, you know that it's probably going to be a zergling rush, so you can then quickly make some zealots or whatever to counter it.

^ check this out, learn from his mistakes, it's quite funny actually
1. Your early stages of a game should be used for expanding your economy as much as possible, even if you plan on rushing. Have worker units queued up all the time until at least your 2nd supply depot (or overlords, or whatever). If you know you want to make a lot of robotic units in your strategy, plan accordingly, start collecting vespene gas early. You should also make sure that you scout your opponent, this is VERY important. Don't do it as soon as the game starts, but around the time you think they'll start creating their millitary buildings, send a worker unit to their base. Based on the units and buildings that they're creating, you can predict what sort of strategy they're going to use, and you can then try and counter it or prepare yourself. Bear in mind that they will probably scout you too.
2. Start making millitary units and decide if you're going to try and rush, or play defensively. After scouting, make units to counter what they're using. I suggest you take a look at some guides of how to counter certain units because I can't list them all here. Don't forget about your economy, if you've got a lot of minerals/gas piled up this is a BAD thing unless you're saving up for something. Always try to spend your resources. If you've got too much of one take some workers off, etc. Also don't forget about supply depots, you should NEVER run out of supply, make them in advance or otherwise you'll waste a lot of time waiting for them to build before you can make more units.
3. You should be well into combat at this stage, but keep making millitary units. You should consider expanding and building another base unless you know the game is about to end. If you're units are getting destroyed, it might not be too late to change your strategy.
Once you get really good, learn how to use hotkeys, most professionals use them and it saves a lot of time. Obviously this is for SC2 but you can apply this to other RTS games as well.
Looks like you need a better graphics card, but everything else seems alright. Try this just in case:

I remember it being really hard to make money at the start of the game, but it started getting a lot easier later on. Just do some easy side missions to make money and avoid fighting hard stuff.
Can't wait! I probably won't be getting in on release, but I just want to read reviews, etc and take a look at the singleplayer. Looks like it'll be a great game.
Obviously it won't appeal to casual gamers, but it WILL sell. This is Blizzard we're talking about. After playing the beta, it seems a little outdated (yes, even the graphics). If you compare it to Age of Empires 3, which has been out for 5 years, AoE3 has arguably better graphics and 8 different civs to play as, not including expansions. Sc2 once again has only 3 races. But what it lacks in content, it makes up for in gameplay. The races are pretty balanced for the most part, and bear in mind this is the beta we're talking about. After a few patches this will be one of the best competitive RTS games out there.
