I like to look at God issues from a parent-child perspective, only cosmic. It helps put a lot of things into perspective, but it can't be used for everything.

I agree completely on the Parent-Child perspective. But instead of punishing the child, he patiently waits for the child to learn by its mistakes. Even if it takes who-knows-how-many lifetimes to do.

Ok so I live between Los Angeles and San Diego, in the middle of a desert. For the past week we've been getting 115-130 degree weather. Yesterday morning I thought it would be different, since it was an overcast day.

Wrong. Not only was it 115 degrees, but the sun was blocked out by clouds...AND IT WAS RAINING. I mean it was frickin pouring! And guess what? It's happening again today. Seriously WTF.
