I want one of these two games, but Im not really sure which I should get. Its my understanding that you cant go wrong with either. Now I know that only I will make the definitive and final decision, so please dont send hate letters telling me that you guys cant help. Im just looking for some advice, pros and cons of each maybe. If it helps, Im not really a newbie to these games but Im also not a veteran. When it comes to these games I guess I can be considered slightly above casual.

Yes. I believe someone stated it above. You can buy actual subscription cards at Gamestop, EbGames, Walmart, Bestbuy, etc... They come in three options I believe. 1month,3month, and 1 year. The year is the best value because with the other two you will pay much more over time/ !month is like 8$, 3is like 20$ or 30$, and 1year is 50$ and you get a free month with the 1 year. Also when you initially sign up for live. just sign up regularly and join live with the free basic membership. They usually give you a 1 month trial of the gold membership. So get that trial then buy a card. You can see the differences between silver and gold at xbox .com.

Wassup everyone. Im considering picking up a HD DVD player for the 360 and had a few questions for those in the know. Now before some fan boy or pro BluRay or whatever person decides to drop by this thread and ignorantly rant why one is better, that is of no matter to me. So please, dont waste your time. Im pan on buying a PS3 and enjoying BluRay as well. My reason for considering HDDVD player is because there are some movies only available in HD on this format. I was just curious as to how reliable this player is? Also is it as good as far as picture and sound quality as a normal HDDVD player?

Right now I own a tv that only has the ability to do up to 1080i. Please dont try to school me on the different resoloutions as Im aware of them all and what each does. My question is. I plan to buy a newer HD in the near future with 1080p capabilities. Is it worth getting a HDDVD player for a TV that only does 1080I? Thanks in advance to anyone with helpful insight.

While I definately agree with you, keep in mind that everyone has their own tastes. As for the original question, No doubt get yourself a hard drive.

omagad if you're going to buy a game just for the online please buy HALO3 or COD4 instead of moh or shadowrunNaiKoN9293

I dont think its worth getting, as I passed up on the HD DVD drive and opted to get a PS3.  Now before biased people get to you, I will give my non-biased opinion. If it helps, I like 360 more so Im not just trying to hype up PS3. If you can go the Blu-ray route, it is much better. The PS3 upscales your normal dvds and yes it makes them look better. I dont know if the HD DVD player does, but even if it does its not worth it and heres why. I also passed on the HDVD because Blu-ray will most likely beat it out, as most new movie releases I see on TV are Blu-ray and regular dvd. aside from King kong and the Matrix triligy I have never seen any ads or HD DVD.When I got to best buy or a place that carries both, blu ray has a much larger selection. From what I ve seen Blu ray has much more support and tech wise its better. I would pass up on the HD DVD route because it will most likely fail. No offense to 360 or hd dvd owners, as I stated I like 360 and Im just stating my opinion based on the facts that I've seen. Even if you cant afford to go blu ray right now, I would hold of because I dont see HD DVD having longevity and as I said you dont get many movie options with HD DVD.

Is a fun game. Nothing too intense or complex. Its just plain simple fun. I have a HDTV so I couldnt really comment on the text thing. Text was fine for me. I borrowed it from a friend a few weeks back. About a week before the beta. I got threw most of it. Would have finished it, but got PS3 a few days later, then a few days after that H3 beta released, so I havent gotten around to finishing it. As for purchase. Im not sure. I wouldnt really pay 40 because I think there are much better games out that I'd pick up before it. Though, if theres nothing else for you than definate. Its a fun game. I'll be purchasing it myself when its at a very bargain price later on down the road or when Im in a gaming drought or something.

I used to be like you. I thought that MVP was untouchable compared to the competition. But let me tell you, The Show is the real deal. The guess pitch hitting system is pretty tight. You can really read predictable patterns from friends over time and the computer during the game. I bought MLB The Show 06 last year for PSP, and it was just great, so I was really looking forward to 07. I played 2k7 on both PS3 and 360... and I can't front 2k7's graphics are amazing. I haven't seen The Show's visuals on a HDTV but if you want a great all around baseball game then you can't miss with this one. The one thing that you'll notice is how the game pays attention to detail. You'll notice these things if you've played baseball or went to a Major League game before.

The graphics are a bit underwhelming on a standard TV. But the gameplay is tight and online is nice. Keeps you connected to live MLB scores and games.

I would hope to see aPS3 version of the demo. Only for the fact that the 360 was unplayable at times with its frame rate issues. I downloaded it last night and it took me like 10 min to complete as well. The game felt ok. Felt unpolished, but I guess that why it was a demo. As for not wanting it. You may not because you've already tried it, but i think its unfair to deny people who havent the chance to. Besides in my opinion the PS store is lacking (I know it hasnt been around as long as 360 and the marketplace, but there are games that have 360 demos available for download and those same games dont for PS3.) in content. I'd like to see anything new at this point. Even if I already tried it on one its interesting to play it on the other. Helps you decide on things like which controller you feel more comfortable playing a game with.

Thanks alot, you pretty much told me what I wanted to hear in a nutshell.  I'll probally be picking this up very soon. If anyone here is getting it or has it, throw me a friend request on PSn and once I get it we'll play sometime.
