The "Modern" FPS title does seem like a great gameplay opportunity, but does anyone agree that most game developers are "milking" this genre and that there is too many Modern style FPS games on the market. Currently the 2 most newest FPS online shooters are MW2 and BFBC2 which both are set in Modern times and use Modern weapons and vehicles. I honestly say I love Modern warfare and Modern combat style gameplay, but currently games out and games been developed all focus on "Modern" combat gameplay. Games I can mention like COD WAW (WW2) Battlefield 2142 (future) I loved these titles, It did not concern me that they were set in the Past or Fictional future, this made me more excited, but you never see many FPS online shooters set in WW2 anymore or Fictional Future settings. I loved Battlefield 2142's Robotic style vehicles and WaW's classic old fashioned looking maps, guns and mechanics from WW2 (but still was a modern designed and developed game technology wise). It's been awhile since those 2 game examples were released, but all I see from 2008 - present in Online Massive Multiplayer FPS titles is Modern Warfare and this frightens me. Do game developers find making Modern games easier then trying to make Past/future fps games? Does making Modern combat games require less work and cost less, or is it a bigger audience then the older/future fps genre? What do you guys think.

I don't mind either mechanic as long as the game is enjoyable. MW2 tho with its Commando perk, One man Army Noobtubers and other gamebreaking problems that NEVER get fixed or dealt with then I don't enjoy the game. COD2, COD4 and BF2 to me were and still are the greatest FPS games ive ever played, oh and CSS (never liked cs 1.6 too dated for me).

It's a shame that most RPG's are either Singleplayer or online Multiplayer, no Co op.

Run in Compatibility mode for Windows XP SP2 or SP3 shouldn't matter, then it should work. You can also try Running as Administrator it shouldn't matter tho. If you are using Windows XP then it should run.

I wonder if Crysis 2 will have Multiplayer or is it only a Singleplayer / Co op game?

[QUOTE="nutcrackr"]Getting lost is 100% the fun of Fallout 3. See that ridge over there, what is over that? What about the run down building in the distance? What is inside. Fallout 3 is a game you avoid the main story until you have exhausted exploring the wasteland.

Oh I see, Yeah I loved exploring Oblivion and the freedom to do any quests where ever you wanted and not follow the storyline was just gold. Does the same apply in this completely different game?

Wow.... With as much hand holding as there is these days how can people still "not know where to go, not know what to do?"blaaah
It was quite awhile ago, and that day I had to go to work and when I was killed I just gave up on it, and bought GTA IV and played that instead. Hope this clears it up, was simply asking if the game was worth revisiting after every post I see is people loving the game, I'm not stupid or clueless when it comes to games, Ive 100% complete quite a few actually. :D

I played Fallout 3 the beginning part where you escape from the underground facility place, and once I got to the surface, I was completely lost, I wandered around for like 30mins, had no idea where to go, it said go to this town (had a name) but I couldn't find it on the map or anything, then I found a guy and was so bored I started stabbing him and then he instantly killed me. I dunno what happened but I never played it again. Was this just a bad experience? Should I give it another try and try figure out where to go. I played Oblivion and had alot of fun in that game, but Fallout 3 was just lost.
