So you're into more modern sounds... Built to Spill The Futureheads The Maccabees Art Brut Bloc Party (they're not putting out new stuff, but they're a fantastic band nonetheless. Listen to their first two albums.) Modest Mouse Neutral Milk Hotel The New Pornographers Joe Satriani (I see you have Chickenfoot in there. Check out Joe Satriani's solo stuff!!!) Dream Theater Porcupine Tree Radiohead Pink Floyd (I know you said you didn't want classic rock, but their music has aged very well and is on par with some music today. Listen to their Animals album, you won't be disappointed.) The Shins Maximo Park The Vaccines Vampire Weekend The Dead Weather Some to check out.

I've gotten scammed in Runescape a few times, but I've been wary of the techniques that the scammers used and it began to happen less often as time went on. I really need to get back to playing. Too bad I have no money...

I'm gonna avoid the most obvious, sought-after targets (Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Rebecca Black, ke$ha) and list three bands that I genuinely hate with every inch of my being. 1. Maroon 5. Everything about them is awful, uninspiring and just plain bad. I can't understand for the life of me why so many people like them. Adam Levine's voice literally makes me physically ill when I listen to him sing. Throw their incredibly bland music in the background, throw in sappy lyrics, and you have a bastardizing combination of tripe that dumb blonde chicks seem to fawn over like the second coming of Christ. Maroon 5 is commercial trash, always have been, always will be. 2. Bon Jovi. I like to describe Bon Jovi as rock music for people that don't know what real rock is. Everything I've heard from their 80s stuff all the way up to today has been so uncreative, and reeking of commercialization. Again, can't understand why so many people like them. Not only are there so many bands that are on the radio that sound like them (uncreative and untalented), there are so many rock bands throughout the entirety of their (Bon Jovi's) career that were so much more appealing to the ears. Jon Bon Jovi, you give music a bad name. 3. Tokio Hotel. There are very few people that like this band, but the ones that do, do it hard and strong. Not only is this band incredibly annoying, the fans take the ultimate irritation I feel for this band to a whole new level. I just can't see why this band has any fans. I can't stand Bill Kaultiz's voice, he sounds almost as bad as the castrated guy in that other thread, and the music itself isn't the greatest. Overall, mediocre band, the annoying ass fans up the ante from mediocre to UNBEARABLE.

[QUOTE="poptart"]

[QUOTE="LJS9502_basic"] Indeed.....another reason not to be a Culture Club fan.:oLJS9502_basic

I'd have thought you would have liked Boy George given your penchant for boys in make up (and Boy George is/was far more meticulous than Robert Smith when applying his) :P

i do not have a penchant for boys in make up....I have a penchant for good music. And I despised Karma Chameleon.

Thank you for steering the attention off of me. :D

[QUOTE="Fiery-Tights"][QUOTE="the_ChEeSe_mAn2"] Did you just call the Bee Gees ****?poptart

As a matter of fact, I did. Problem? ...I do like one Bee Gees song, though. "Massachusetts". All those disco bands sucked a**. ABBA, The Village People...they just don't do anything for me. I know I can't listen to either without getting a headache.

I say dear fellow, you should a) remove Culture Club from that list (and what's wrong with Wham!?) and b) ch-ch-check out some proper disco grooves innit

To each his own, right? If you guys like disco, I really don't see a problem with it. I just think it's very ignorant for people to shun modern music for all the crap that's out on the radio when they completely forget all the crap that was out in the past. Seriously, there are so many great bands out today that people are missing out on simply because of this mindset.

[QUOTE="the_ChEeSe_mAn2"][QUOTE="Fiery-Tights"]Every decade has its **** music. The 90s had Vanilla Ice, Aqua, Hanson, The Backstreet Boys and the "Macarena. The 80s had Wham!, Culture Club, Modern English, and all the cheesy hair metal bands that were out. The 70s had the Bee Gees, the Bay City Rollers, the Osmond Brothers and all that disco crap. The 60s had all the bubblegum pop bull****. The 50s had "How Much Is That Doggie In The Window?"... People just remember the good stuff that came out back then. People are even beginning to include the early 00s in their whining nostalgia fests, which is actually quite crazy.

Did you just call the Bee Gees ****?
