for starter, Sony isnt making the games, other people are. Sony just hasnt backhanded everyone that supported they're previous console by forcing devs to move to the PS3. With over 1 million PS2s out there and the still premium price for next gen its hard to stop it the PS2 that quickly.
It's not narrow minded. Cause you have to consider, if he's at a cafe or something, how exactly would you download demos anyways? I'm pretty sure they have some security protocols intact so people won't be downloading random stuff on to their hard drives.
Also yes, not having the internet is some way, shape or form is a minority now. Even people in their 70's are using the net in old age homes for god sakes. If it gets to old people, yes, you're in a minority.
Another thing. How could you afford a PS3, but can't have internet? Especially it being an online gaming machine. I make next to nothing and even I can afford broadband at 5Megs up, 600+ k down.

Well unfortunately for you game developers say that you do, even the good games these days are much less worth your money if you arent going to play them online, also prettywell no games have bots or really good split screen setup so you wont find much fun there either
Metal gear uses 5GB so if you plan to get it and dont want to update your hardrive to soon dont get a 20GB. Also for Aus I think unless you go second hand you dont have a choice

its pretty sad when u base your game purchases on whether or not they have trophies.
there is a full guide on gamespot somewhere and if you are going to upgrade do it properly and get either 300GB or 500GB because once you've installed one you don't want to do it again in like 8 months.
