I was wondering the same thing Callen. That, and I don't think I've really seen anyone diving or doing anything kinda fancy. I know winning is what matters in this case. (Pretty nice payoff Btw). ,But I thought the range of movement was supposed to help?

Been alot of peek-a-boo around corners though. MAN, I can't wait to get my shot at this game....

Ah, this is cool. Getting to see a lil of what MP is like right before it comes out. Wish I would have known about this earlier. =)

I absolutely cannot wait for this game to be released. I love 3rd person shooters like this and say, Uncharted. But I'm still wondering how much it's going to suck being in a reload animation while also being targeted by someone's BT effect. It seems like if that happens, the person that caught you in BT will almost always win while you are stuck in a slo-mo reload. (Just have to work on those bullet dodging/diving skills I suppose...).

Still though, I am almost as excited to play the MP portion of this game as I am to play the SP story. This is going to be SO much fun.

Although.... after reading a couple comments, maybe I should try Win7 before I upgrade anything else on my system... I forgot about the inherent performance boost you get with the Win7 OS for gaming...

Looks like I'll have to do better than a GTX 260 for full game performance and the physx options. Was thinking about getting another card this christmas anyways but damn, Physx takes alot to power.... I get excellent frames without it in Mafia II but I'm one of those guys that if it has a cool option, I want it on =P And it's kinda funny but I have a mobo with a onboard 8300 chipset that can be used for dedicated Physx support, too bad Physx even on low-med just crushes it. Looks like I might go the same route as Vandaman and have my 260 as the dedi Physx card....

I have the PC version and am really pleased at how well this game runs. But from the comparison pics it mostly just looks like the contrast or brightness was higher in the 360 and that is really the biggest difference I see. The shadowing and texture sharpness look better on the PS3 pics, And of course better still on the PC, but to me the biggest obvious difference was just the brightness or contrast in those pics. Nothing that would really keep me from playing it on any system.

GaudyMarrko Posted Nov 28, 2008 6:54 pm ET What I can tell is, PS3 is much brighter... Xbox 360 has darker shadows there is definetly no significant difference that would make me think I should buy one over the other -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lol, were we looking at the same pics here? The ONE thing that I have noticed about the PS3 renders were that in EVERY pic the shadows were darker (which I like better) and it looks like they use a brighter color palette. The black levels are better in most pics but in some it looks like it actually covers up some of the details on textures. The 360 black levels do have more of a greyed or 'washed out' look to em. but luckily those things can be helped a lil bit on both systems by adjusting your contrast and brightness settings.

Alot of these differences simply come down to how Nvidia and ATI Gpu's render graphics. They use different types of shader, and lighting techniques among other things. And in the past it has usually been like this, Nvidia = Sharper textures with emphasis more on speed, ATI = A more blurred or 'smoothed out look' to textures with more emphasis on quality over speed. No matter what the programmers do, you can't get away from the basic archetype these GPU's implement in the way they render graphics.....

Most of this actually comes down to the video card brands being used, ATI Vs. Nvidia. Unless things have changed ATI (which is in the 360) has always had a lil more of a reputation for rendering their graphics at a higher quality, while Nvidia has always been a lil more Fps oriented seeming to lean more towards speed. Now like I said, unless things have changed this is how it had always been in the past when buying vid cards for my PC's.

Oh and btw... what's up with this joe guy? I mean it was kinda like watching Martha Stewart try to act interested in what's on her show. Or a bad cooking show or something. I mean even if you are reading a prompter or cue cards, put some personality into it man! :P
