Hey guys, I need to get a laptop for college and I came across this one on ibuypower.com, the Battalion 101 CZ012 15.6" - it's base price is $949. Wondering if any of you have this laptop? Is it a good buy for a gaming laptop? I basically want to be able to play the latest games with a decent framerate on normal settings.

Here are the specs (I customized it, adding more RAM and selecting a smaller, faster hard drive):

Price: $1,013 (my budget is around $1000)

What do you think? It seemed like this was the best deal I could find for my budget (please don't tell me to get a desktop :P)

CS is an overrated franchise, much like the rest of Valve's games. It's pretty good though. Too bad the community sucks total balls, kind of like Valve's other MP games. millerlight89

you couldn't be more wrong

Lucasarts this gen has been disappointing, making crap like TFU/TFU2 and Star Wars Kinect. The only game I am excited for by them atm is the Star Wars Old Republic, which is being made by Bioware and EA so I dont even think you can fully credit them for it. Where is Rogue Sauadron (sadly Factor 5 went bankrupt, but another dev could make it), where is Jedi Knight? Where is Battlefront 3, and where is Republic Commando 2? They have either been making this **** Lego star wars games (which are ssentially the same boring game each iteration, I mean the first one was interesting and great, but it gets old FAST), and TFU, which was a bad game period, poor controls and boring gameplay.

PC gaming IS more expensive and kind of a hassle at times, but the point is it's WORTH IT!

don't bother using a mouse pad (if you have a laser mouse)

as long you have a large enough space to move the mouse and a decent sensitivity setting, you will very rarely need to pick up the mouse. The mouse just has perfect precision, thats why it's better than an analog stick.
