Both of those are fair points, sure they may lose out of alot of what gaming can be (and lose pretty much none of if it was the other way around), but those statements are atleast honest, and viewpoints that are valid.

But then just you wait, next gen of consoles comes about and the sheer amount of stupidity will surround SW again, "PC gaming is dying" threads will show up again the first year or two, followed by 3 years of denial that PCs have surpassed thier preferred console in every way imaginable, followed with a few years of the "too expensive" card, untill they finally give in. and Accept the PC as a platform that is very much as competent as thier Consoles, and it all comes down to a tasts thing.

Kind of funny really, Hermits are always claimed to be arrogant, and Elitist, but when you look at it like this, with the sheer dismissal and refusal, The Console Fanboys (as its not thier entire fanbase) seems FAR more elitist and arrogant then most Hermits Ive ever seen.

Agreed. Plus 360/PS3 fans that are expecting another huge graphics leap for PS4/720 are in for a big surprise. Neither MS or Sony are going to risk taking more huge billion dollar losses each year just for that, especially not for Sony in their current financial condition.

The fact that a LOT of people refuse to see is that consoles make SIGNIFICANTLY better use of the tech that they have, even if it is very dated.

I wonder how well a PC would run modern games with a cpu and gpu equivalent to the 360's, and 512mb of ram? It wouldn't run at all. Yet even though the 360's specs are EXTREMELY dated compared to todays modern PCs, it's still able to deliver a SIMILAR experience with the games.

So the next gen console specs might look "dated" to a PC gamers, but in reality those consoles will be able to pull off amazing visuals.

And before anyone even starts, yes I have a decent rig that I regularly game on.

Xbox is the game store in Windows 8. There is no console.

I don't think some people here understand the reason for MS's seemingly strange approach on the names for it's consoles.

It's because MS didn't get into the console biz until the PS2 gen.

"Xbox" worked fine for MS's first console, but MS couldn't have named the 360 "Xbox 2" in the same gen as the PS3 if they wanted to sell their consoles. lol

Think about it. Imagine you're a parent with NO knowledge about video games, and you're about to make a purchase for your child or something. Which one would you buy? Xbox 2, or Playstation 3? You'd more than likely pick the ps3, because people associate higher numbers with "new" or "better."

I don't really know about the whole accomplishing what no other game has before thing, but the ME trilogy IS amazing. Easily the best 3 games I've played this gen.

Edit: I don't really like how Bioware seems to be taking RPG elements out of the games, though.

They're probably doing the deal because ps3 games generally don't sell as well as 360 games.
