The IGN review was pretty over whelming. If most reviews are that positive (an understatement) it will be a blow out. I just recall a lot of sheep accusing others of not liking games at all if they do not want to play the GoTY. Because SMG was so great and people would say "it is not my kind of game" and the sheep would pounce. Now some are saying the same thing about GTA.

But, best since Ocarina of Time, best game we have played in a decade (the IGN review said both)? Those are pretty tall statements. I will have to play it myself. But I wonder how other critics will react. If it comes out like that across the board it does indeed sound like the game to beat this generation.

The Wii has the bigger install base and Mario Kart Wii has Mario. Mario alone will sell this product. The instal base for the Wii is much greater with with casual crowd. GTA IV is on the X-box 360 and PS3. More PS3 and 360 combined have been sold than Wii. So your argument fails.

And GTA is a casual game.

And to top it off, GTA III, GTA VC and GTA SA each individually have out sold each Mario Kart game.

Look, this topic is about Mario Kart Wii outselling GTA4(PS3). Not Mario Kart Wii outselling GTA4(360). There's a difference and it's as big as Obama's lead on Clinton. It's bigger than big Bills stains on that Monica dress. This difference is going to be huge liek Wanda and the Collosas. This is Ali vrs. Foreman and Mario Kart Wii will out-last the GTA4 beast. Mario Kart Wii float like a butterfly off store shelves and sting like a bee on GTA4(PS3) impact on gaming. This game is epic.

There's something about gamer reviewers that doesn't make much sense. Either they reward games a score that is too low. Or they rewards a score that's too high. This ign reviewer (Hilary) gave assassins creed a 7.5. Now here is giving a game 10/10. I'm certainly sure that GTA IV is a good game. But seriously no game is worth a 10/10.Pirate_X

After playing GTA1 on the PC up until GTA3:SA... GTA4 is easily the best of the series. There are like... no issues with the game whatso ever, its perfect.

The car handling is excellent, right? Because I'm pretty sure it is, but most have been whining because nobody in the gameplay leaks can drive. There's obviously a learning curve, which is great, since that means it actually takes skill to drive now.
